After calling to make an appointment, and going to get a regular cleaning and check up, I can easily say this was a great first visit at a new dentist! Had to bring my 1 year old with me and the other staff members helped watch him during my cleaning. I remember in my early adult life of being extremely afraid to go to the dentist. I needed my routine maintenance several years ago and found Dr. Stutler. Of course, I was hesitant to go to the dentist on my scheduled appointment day. The moment I walked through the door the office staff made me feel comfortable. The staff was so nice and actually made me feel they wanted me there for more than my business. They genuinely cared about my interests and well being. They called me back for my routine check-up and before I knew it, the initial cleaning was done. No pain, no anxiety on my behalf, and certainly a wonderful experience. Then Dr. Stutler came in to do the examination. He examined me, had recommendations of treatment plans from the absolutely necessary to the possible "luxury end result" treatments. I chose what treatments I wanted and they came up with a plan to achieve the "end result". I loved, that there was absolutely no pressure sales. I had the facts laid before me and I was in control to choose what I wanted. Several years later, I look forward to my dental appointments now! Great smiles, atmosphere, service, dentistry, and follow up!

Dr. Stutter talked with me for about 5 minutes in regards to some cosmetic surgery. The girl who did my x-ray left my metal partial in during the X-ray. I was just wanting a cleaning and my insurance was billed over $400. I had to pay $98 out of pocket. I also have great insurance. I was told by my insurance company that the charges were in excess of $ 100 of the allowable amount in comparison to all the other dental offices in the surrounding area. I have never had to pay a fee for a cleaning in the last 15 years. When I asked for a copy of my X-ray I was told at first that they do not give copies. Then I finally got an 8x11 photocopy when I stopped by in person. The girl was very rude and made me stand there and wait for her to finish her conversation with her co worker about upcoming plans. If u want to be overpriced and have rude service this is the place for you! Seems funny how most of the Rave reviews are from females! read more

Stutler is the MAN!! This dentist office is super clean and everyone is friendly. Stutler went to IU so if I could give more stars, I would! The prices might be a little high but if you have good dental insurance then it's reasonable. Every staff member is amazing and very gentle, always making sure you are comfortable. TVs above the chair make the cleaning/dental work fly by! When you visit this dental office, you get whitening trays and goo for free (not sure if they still do this but this was the case a few years ago). This places makes going to the dentist office not that bad, plus after your visit when you check out, you get the most amazing Chapstick! read more

The office was very nice, clean, and modern with several nice amenities but that's where the good stopped for me. The sedation apparently didn't work for me like it does for others making for a traumatic experience. We are very disappointed with this office. My husband went in with tooth pain, and was told that day that he would need a root canal and crown. When we were told the price AFTER insurance (we don't have bad dental coverage either), we just about fell over. Every dentist that we have checked with since then said their price is WAY out of the appropriate range. Also, my husband was given an antibiotic for some infection that had appeared. He travels a lot for work and will be out until after next week. When he called Stutler's office this morning and asked for a refill of the prescription, Dr. Stutler was unwilling to do that without another office visit. Hmmm...cha-ching! Meanwhile, my husband was able to find a different dentist to look at his issue, prescribe a round of antibiotics which will cover him until he is off the road, and OH! also said that it didn't look like my husband should need a root canal. You'll rarely be actually treated by Dr. Stutler here, unless you have a serious issue. You will most likely always get worked on by his assistants, which despite presenting themselves like they have an education and knowledge of a dentist....they don't. I don't appreciate being spoken down to like I did here by office staff, Dr. Stutler himself, and his rude receptionist Terry. Dr. Stutler's office essentially billed my insurance as much as they possibly could to the point that my insurance company called to verify the treatments that I was getting were agreed to. I didn't realize how much they had been billing for procedures until I checked after that phone call. I also had to pay additional cash fee's a few times which I didn't quite understand but stupidly did not question them. I have phenomenal insurance, they obviously knew that and just took extreme advantage. The positives are: when you are a new patient, they are sweet as pie. The office is new, clean, and you get some nice freebies which distract you from the fact that you are being royally taken advantage of later on. I know finding a dentist is hard, but find a more fair, genuine dentist to go to. read more

Make sure they take your insurance! His prices are high and you do get what you pay for. When I called to check to see if they were in my dental network, I was assured that I was. After receiving a $212 bill for just the cleaning and x-rays after my non-innetwork insurance kicked in a little, I called assuming that there had to be a mistake. The receptionist told me that "they work with all insurances" which was not the same statement I had been told when I first called and was told I was in network. I double checked this with them more than once the day of my appointment and was assured I would just have to pay for the cleaning I chose since I had not been to the dentist in a few years, and that the x-rays and pictures taken that day would be covered. When I called to ask about my bill I had to leave a voicemail and expected a call back with in the 24 hours stated on the message. I did not get a call back at all instead a few days later I just received another bill. In all I have paid almost $500 for a cleaning and X-rays so I will not be going back. read more

Specifically ask if they are in or out of network with your insurance! I made the mistake of asking if they took my insurance. The answer was "we work with all insurance". What that means is they will file the insurance for you knowing that you are out of network and will be billed the difference between the full charge and what the insurance pays. After several phone calls and emails, they did admit they knew my insurance was out of network when I made my appointment. I asked why she didn't let me know they were out of network when I asked the question of do they take my specific insurance. Her answer was, "you didn't ask specifically if we were in network". I asked that they take the out of network payment as payment in full since they knowingly withheld information that would have been critical in choosing this dentist. They agreed to reduce my amount due by half which was not to my satisfaction. I asked to meet with them in person and my meeting request was denied. I received an email letting me know that I had overextended my fair share of the coordinators hours this week discussing this matter. I was told there is and will not be any further discussion regarding this matter. In my experience, this is deceptive and the most unprofessional way of dealing with patients. I receive the necessary time and attention to understand what the procedures will entail, as well as preventative care. Went to see them for a consultation for crowns. I was given a price for upper crowns for $26,000.00 dollars. Extremely shocked, I asked about invisilign braces. Went through and financed for this. At first consult was told it would be 34 weeks of invisilign, no problem...well, 28 weeks in they did more impressions and low and behold now another 26 weeks of invisilign. This was very alarming. 12 weeks ago I brought to the attention of the dentist and one of the assistants that I was having a problem with a tooth that didn't appear to be moving as the others were. I was assured that this would be corrected, either by more trays...or a retainer at the end. Dr. Stutler assured me that my teeth would be even and that the ultimate goal was for me to have a great smile....today was the last appointment. A little displeased with the result of the one tooth and the fact that there was some uneven areas the assistant let out a huge sigh...like I was burdening her with these concerns. Then she informed me a retainer was an extra cost and to make the teeth even would be extra because it was cosmetic. My concern was also with some bonding that was applied by an assistant back in October of 2015 in their office, which had chipped and looked uneven. When Dr. Stutler came in...he informed my "it is what it is" that is was the shape of the tooth. This came as a shock!!!! Especially after my conversation with him of how they will do this and that to ensure this great smile. After consulting with another dentist this morning was even more of a shock to know that some of my teeth had split. These guys are hacks and out for as much money as they can get. They try and shove financing down your throat. I am extremely disappointed in the results of this place. Now is going to cost even more money to fix what should have already been done. read more
