Everyone knows that a Brazilian wax is a very personal thing, and you need to be comfortable with the person servicing you. She's also very friendly and kind, she makes what could potentially be a painful and awkward experience as pleasant and painless as possible. When you're getting waxed in an area that's especially painful she'll even do a little countdown from 3 to prepare you, and if you take a sharp breath in as the wax comes off it helps ease the pain a bit. Stella actually convinced me to go from waxing to sugaring and it really does make a difference! The results last longer, the skin is smoother and less irritated, and personally it doesn't hurt quite as bad. The initial application of the sugar tugs at the hair a bit but during the removal it's less painful than wax. The ladies here also recommended exfoliating the skin you're getting waxed prior to your appointment, and then consistently 3 times a week, which helps tremendously if your suffer from ingrown hairs. Definitely make an appointment if you wanna try them out because they can get booked up pretty quickly! And if you go, ask them about their loyalty card! After so many services (worth at least $25 each) you get a free wax. Overall I've never had a bad experience here. The ladies working here are very knowledgeable and willing to answer any questions you have to help make the experience as comfortable as possible.

I felt regretful bc they didn't like the service they received, but I didn't know any better and was okay with leaving with hair on my thighs and such. ~~This time I know for a fact I haven't shaven ANYTHING besides my armpits (a month ago) bc I am over 8 1/2 months pregnant. I literally can't see past my belly or be bothered to reach. I feel bad to even say I'm dissatisfied with the service because the older lady who serviced me this time had been nice; she kept a friendly conversation with me and my mother about my baby, and it was a lengthy service.. so I felt she tried her best and maybe her excuse is just that she was rushing the process bc I was her last appointment of the day. -I booked for a 6 pm which is an hour before they lock up. (This is aside from the comments about the stretch marks on my belly, or my hair) BUT, I paid over $120 (with tip) this time just to still have: -a decent amount of hair she left over from the brazilian, (that she said was bc of me shaving and having "sensitive skin") -peeling skin patches and bruises from what I assume are wax burns (I told her a few times it felt too hot and she responded "no it's warm" and she didn't have her fan lol) or from her going over the same area a lot.. (she didn't hold my skin taught and she wasn't able to pull off the wax away from my skin multiple times). {{again--I haven't shaved, I did exfoliate beforehand and haven't had a problem w sensitive skin before..I've gotten my legs and underarms done plenty of times}} ~~I'm limited in the positions I can do now right now, so I feel as tho if she might've helped and pulled back my skin she could've easily gotten off my hair in the Brazilian better. I even laid down on top of my stomach regardless in an attempt for her to reach things better I then had a little back and forth with the waxer in the room because the receptionist up front told me a "Full Body" included legs, underarms, brazilian AND lip. (I paid for a stomach and butt separate charge) She didn't want to do my upper lip service at first until I said the other person already did in fact tell me it should be included. -She then attempted each side of my lip once then left everything and said it was "bc I trimmed". I do not shave my upper lip and only pluck stragglers after waxes/threadings.. which I also haven't done in months anyways. I told the receptionist everything was good bc I didn't get to check the parts of my body first; as there's only a long face mirror with poor lighting in the room and the lady didn't leave the room.. she waited/watched me change into my clothes then watched me tip up front. ~~It wasn't until I left and my mother made the comments of "Did she not even try to use a tweezer?" about my underarms, "Did you get a rash?" about my legs, my boyfriend made comments about my bruises, and me simply feeling around after taking off all the leftover wax that was stuck on my underwear and vulva, so I checked it with my camera.. that I even noticed the issues. I'm decently satisfied with the armpits and belly service bc AT LEAST I can reach them and go back in with a tweezer myself if needed..but I'd have to shave the rest of the lil leftover hair and defeat the purpose of my brazilian. (for some reason she told me no, don't come back to try and get the rest of my brazilian off; im only assuming bc she didn't want to give a free follow up) -it's definitely less hair overall than what I started with that I don't have to deal w myself! ...but it's evident she was very rough on my skin. Too much money for the half results :/ I'll give the benefit of the doubt that it was just this location or waxer, because another store seems to have great reviews about the services and friendly waxers, it's just too far for me to visit rn.

Facility was clean and receptionist was pleasant. My appointment was at 12 and my cerologist was ready when I arrived. She was very thorough and made sure I was comfortable during the process. Now with my vacation just 48 hours away and being it a holiday weekend, I am left high and dry -- thanks a lot Pure Wax. Not to mention, it's practically impossible to even book an appointment with them because of their low staffing numbers. It seems as if the estheticians are never working! And that's when you're looking weeks and months out on their calendar. Long story short, never again will I patronize or recommend Pure Wax.
