Dr. Raub's dental practice had a profound impact on my life, though not in a positive way. My…read moreexperience began with a dental emergency caused by a painful tooth that was unresponsive to over-the-counter pain relievers. Unable to secure a timely appointment with a specialist, I sought help from Dr. Raub, as he had previously been my dentist on occasion and his office was conveniently located. I was relieved when they informed me that I could be seen later that same day. During my visit, I requested nitrous oxide to help me relax. I had not received anything to numb the area. Because he was busy. But the Nitrous had relaxed me. However, when Dr.Raub examined my teeth, he encountered difficulties in identifying the source of pain due to my existing caps and a bridge. While using a small instrument--a bur--to assess my teeth, he inadvertently caused significant discomfort by hitting a nerve, I reacted which led to the instrument breaking off in my tooth. Unfortunately, this was not an isolated incident; a total of four burs broke during the procedure trying to retrieve the burs. He was obviously upset and referred me to a dentist in Fishers. I have kept the detailed documentation because the dentist said he had never seen this scenario before. He asked my permission to share this fiasco with students he was teaching and he wrote articles about dentistry as well. He gave me a small discount for allowing him to share how a painful tooth ended up in surgery and needing implants to replace the bridge that was broken removing the burs. (I was dealing with the death of a family member. Or I would have consulted an Attorney myself.) Afterward, a specialist in Carmel informed me that the broken burs were located next to my bridge work. He expressed concern that attempting to extract the burs could result in damage to the bridge, which ultimately happened. As a result, I was faced with the necessity of dental implants, leading to expenses exceeding $6,000. I reached out to Dr. Raub with a letter outlining both the pain I experienced and the financial burden resulting from my visit, requesting assistance with the costs. Instead, I received a letter from his attorney alleging slander. I possess documentation from two other dentists confirming the broken burs and the complications they caused, as well as the subsequent surgery I underwent. The financial strain from the implants has had a significant impact on my savings and overall well-being. What initially started as a satisfactory relationship with Dr. Raub deteriorated when I reached out for help to cover the expenses from his treatment. Instead of addressing the situation honorably, the response felt like an intimidation tactic through legal means. This experience has instilled a lasting apprehension about future dental visits and has left me feeling traumatized. While I acknowledge that mistakes can happen in any profession, the manner in which they are resolved speaks volumes about a provider's integrity and commitment to patient care. I hope that by sharing my experience, others seeking dental relief will be informed and cautious, ensuring they find a professional who prioritizes not just treatment, but also accountability and patient welfare. I have not been a patient of Dr. Bailey for long, but he has been compassionate and kind every time…read moreI've been in the office. He does not judge, or place blame for any issues / complications - nor does their staff. Everyone there is very kind, and although sometimes it can be a little tough to get in touch with them due to a high volume of calls, they are helpful and responsive. I have never had to call multiple times, they have always reached back out to me first! Dr. Bailey performed a root canal on me last year, and it went perfectly! He prescribed an antibiotic prior to the procedure, and was extremely kind and empathetic during the entire process. I had NO problems following the procedure and have not had an issue with the tooth since. I used to hate going to the dentist due to past bad experiences, but Dr. Bailey and his office of amazing staff have made up for those experiences tenfold!

They can even do a root canal, complete with your permanent crown, in one visit! (About 1.5-2 hours), because they have a 3D printer. But don't think the machine does everything- Heather is the best dental tech, and together with Dr. Bailey, they will ensure you have a natural looking smile with a perfect color-match and fit. They talk you through every step, and do everything possible to make sure you experience as little discomfort as possible. The dental hygienists are experienced, and Carla is skilled and gentle. The office is clean and bright. As you recline in the comfortable chairs, you can look out the large window or watch tv. Either way relax!- you're in good (and competent) hands with Dr. Chad Bailey and staff!
