I was fortunate to have found Valerie through a friend who recommended her, back when she was in Downey. I've been a customer ever since. I've always had thin "chola looking" eyebrows (at least that's what my friends used to say haha), so I had to constantly fill them in but ever since Valerie started shaping my eyebrows. I went in for eyebrow threading + tint and Valerie did an amazing job. She had me look at my eyebrows multiple times to ensure that I liked them as she was working on them.....Her studio is also very clean and pretty and smelled sooo good!! I been going to her for about 4 yrs now. There was a time where SHE HAD NO OFFICE SPACE and was ONLY doing house calls. As she got more established she started getting less and less professional. She has canceled on my sister a handful of times and impossible to get a hold of to reschedule and she left a deposit. She always had me waiting outside passed my schedule time but god for but ur late on her she wouldn't take you. She canceled on me 5min before my schedule appointment when I had already ubered to my appointment. Saying she was has no appointment today and was not scheduled to come in. I had this appointment booked for over 2 weeks and paid my deposit for it. And also got the reminder text the day before. I do not drive and I paid for my Uber there and back, I do not live close. She text me a horrible unprofessional text when I complained about the cancellation. She always had excuses and will cancel. I am beyond upset with her unprofessional system she has running here. She will say anything to make herself look right. read more

Val is truly a master brow artist and I'm soooo happy I found her!!!!! I am in school to become an esthetician and last week we had the reputable company Benefit come to our class to do a demo and teach us how to shape a persons brows. If you don't know, Benefit has a brow bar and their brow technicians are thoroughly trained by highly skilled artists in the industry. Well, the brow technician decided to use me as her model to show the class how to shape a persons brows. Anyway while she was teaching us how to align brows to get that perfect shape; she complimented my brows three times! The first time she told me my brows were in perfect alignment. The second time she told me I have really nice brows. And the third time she asked where I get my brows done (lol), in which I proudly responded "Brows by Val". Really bad service if I can said that because I paid for just to book an appointment, but I didn't have the service which I paid for. I do not recommend this place is a scam. The lady makes you book online only so she can keep your money. Don't go here . Got my eyebrows done by Valerie a few months ago and I was unhappy with the results so she suggested that I tint my eyebrows. I agreed, and when I went to pay she didn't charge me for the tint since she was concerned that I was unsatisfied(which was nice of her since I was still going to pay for it). I still paid my remaining balance since I had made my deposit in advance. Now I wanted to give her another chance to get an eyelash lift, she rejected my service and will send me a refund on my deposit since I was unsatisfied the 1st time and didn't pay for a service that she chose not to charge since I was unsatisfied. I would understand a reaction like this from a business if I completely didn't pay for anything and walked away, but I didn't. Now I wanted to try something different since she does provide other services. I understand that sometimes things like this happen.But if a customer is giving them another opportunity, as a business they shouldn't turn it down like this, but her response to this just speaks about her work ethic. read more
