She burned me while waxing my underarms. Really disappointed because I thought I could trust Hema and her work. I left an amazing review before. I couldn't wear any deodorant for 3 days because of the pain. Pictures are of day 4 after a layer of skin had peeled off. I was concerned, as most of us are, about trying a new eyebrow place when I moved. I was very pleased with my experience here. She is nice and did a great job. One thing I appreciated in particular was that she did the initial job with a thicker style in case I didn't want them too thin, and when I asked for a bit thinner she listened and did a great job with that as well, and wasn't insulted or anything with the feedback. She also gave a great aloe massage afterward that was soothing and a nice touch, in addition to being on the lesser end of painful compared to the other places I've had my brows threaded. Hema is amazing! It's been years since I got my eyebrows threaded and since then I've just tweezed them on my own. This time, I wanted a professional to shape them and remove the fine, difficult-to-pluck hairs around my brows. I came in on a Saturday morning for eyebrow threading and didn't have to wait very long. Hema was very friendly and told me that she recently moved her business from 2nd Street in Long Beach to 7th Street, about 10 min from CSULB. Having sparse Asian eyebrows I was afraid it would come out weird but Hema was able to keep the thickness and just clean and sharpen around the edges. She even advised me to use a bit of coconut oil on my eyebrows at night to thicken the parts of my eyebrows that were a little bit bald. After threading, Hema offered me Aloe Vera gel to soothe the redness around my brows and I thought that was a nice touch. It was only $7 + the tip I gave. I'll definitely be coming back! read more

She made me grow out my eyebrows originally because she said mine were too thin and I reluctantly listened to her and have never gone back! They look better than ever now! She doesn't ruin the natural shape of my eyebrows that I like. She is also really nice and gives a great eyebrow massage with aloe if you want it! Wasn't able to make it to my eyebrow lady so I yelped one and read all the wonderful reviews. Hema is nice; salon is clean; didn't wait for service. I asked for a clean up and a square inner shape. I originally liked them paid, tipped and left. I took a better look and realized she thinned them out. When I ask for a clean up, it is usually just that. Did my 2nd time threading w/ Hema for the first time today! She was so gentle w/ me no so welcoming, I was her first customer of the day. I came before her and was waiting for about 3 mins and she arrived and sat me in her chair right away! I was afraid I was gonna be late for school but I was in and out of there w/ 10 minutes! She asked me how I found her and I told her I yelped her & she was laughing and smiling (assuming people find her there). She seems to take care of her customers well. She has her own personal cards w/ her cell number and says you can call/text her anytime!
