I docked a few stars off for difficulty scheduling appointments for fills, and for not replying to dm's and emails. I understand she is the only tech doing lashes and she's popular and books quickly, but as a newbie to lashes, the scheduling process was not easy. I needed an appointment for a fill 2-3 weeks after my full set and was unable to get an appointment until 4-5 weeks after. On top of that, communication was lacking as she did not reply to my messages. Unfortunately, I will be going elsewhere where I can get appointments regularly. I went to get eyelashes for the first time about a year ago and to this day I still go to Angelina. She's amazing because: 1. When I got my eyelashes done the first time, i went on my honeymoon to a place with PEAK humidity and also went snorkeling / swimming in the ocean with them. The first set of lashes lasted for over 6 weeks despite all the abuse I put them through! 2. Angelina made me feel super comfortable and was incredibly efficient. Being a brown girl with a lot of hair, I definitely had a LOT of lashes. She spent a little over 2 hours on my extensions and they look dramatic but not tacky every time. 3. The prices are so much better at this location than other places. I've had friends get cheaper lashes through Groupons in their area and their lashes don't last as long or look as good at this place. All my friends I've referred to this place have stayed with Angelina and BLL! I keep coming back because her materials and meticulousness make it an effortless experience. read more

The first time I came in, I was in awe at how amazing my lashes looked. But 4 days later, my right eye had already lost most of the lashes. Angelina's personality is amazing though. Very talkative and informative. She Made me feel comfortable effortlessly. My downfall to this is when I went in for my fill (which is usually $75) I was charged damn near a full set.! She said something about taking too long. But her next customer had came in early and I was already done by the time the next girl's turn came up. Smh now with my fill, again I see the fallout. I asked her about the first times fallout and was simply told that my retention wasn't good, but in time it would get better. Not sure what the issue is but maybe the right eye may need more lashes put to keep from having the gap. Correct me if im wrong but I don't think retention works that way. Also, she gets booked fast so booking for a fill on time is a no go. You WILL end up having to pay for a full set because of the timing. Another negative note, they do not reply to IG dms so good luck getting a reply from them. I really loved how my lashes looked at first but a few days later, they lost the sexiness. I found an eyebrows goddess ! I have really thick eyebrow and it's always a struggle for me to find someone that can shape and wax them. I live in Lakewood and I would drive all the way to Santa Monica to see a lady over there. That won't be happening anymore since I found this new place. I also did a facial a few weeks back with Cynthia and it was awesome. My face was glowing for at least two weeks, people around me noticed how my face looked clean and refreshed. I needed to get my eyebrows done at last minute and quickly searched on Yelp for nearby places near my house and Brows Lids Lashes popped up with 5 stars. I called to inquire and was able to get an appointment to come in in 30 minutes. Parking There is street parking which can be tricky because it is a residential and it can be packed pretty much everyday. The staff over the phone did let me know that there was parking in the back of the salon. Literally, pull up to the driveway right next to the store because it can be easy to miss. The parking is a very small lot and is right in front of an apartment complex. It fits only about 6 cars. Salon The salon is so clean, simple and elegant. Right when you enter you can smell mint or eucalyptus. For waxing, there is a small station where you will sit and get your eyebrows done. They do all kinds of service here such as lash lift, eyelash extension, etc and for those services there are beds where you will lay down to get it done. Eyebrow waxing Nancy was the technician who did my eyebrow waxing and she did such a great job! There was a little 5 minute into where she went over my brows and asked what I wanted to achieve whether it was getting them thinner or just trimming etc. She did give me a heads up that my right eyebrow had little hair than the left so that way I don't get surprised after she waxes my brows. I appreciate that she let me know that. The waxing took about 10 minutes and I was super happy with my brows! Nancy is super sweet and nice. I'd highly recommend her! Covid safety precautions Everyone must wear a mask inside the salon including the staff and customers. There were hand sanitizer available to use. read more
