After years of threading, changing salons after a bad job, regrowing brows and plucking my self, and then going back to threading I thought maybe I needed to give something new a try. While I was walking through Nordstrom and looking at handbags I stumbled upon Anastasia Beverly Hills' section of the store. I was being shy and would have walked right past it but one of the girls there approached me & gave me a business card. I stashed it in my purse and honestly, did not plan on making an appointment. A week went by and I still had Anastasia on my mind like she was a high school crush, so I had to call and book an appointment. When I arrived I was greeted by the very friendly estheticians working there and felt right at home. Becca gave me a breakdown of where by brows should start, end, and arch. I got my eyebrows done with Celeste didn't want too much off since I asked for a cleanup and she did exactly that. She also brought it to my attention that my prior eyebrow lady had taken a chunk off of the end of my eyebrow and didn't touch that area so that the hairs would grow back. Which I agreed. Went with my cousin to get our eyebrows shaped. I don't know what the Anastasia rep was doing but she repeatedly put wax in the same place and ended up burning the skin around my eyes. I have burn marks around my eyes. I have gone there before and nothing like this had ever happened to me. Just be careful and aware how they are applying the hot wax to your face. read more

DO NOT go to Katrina aka Kat! I felt inclined to sign up for Yelp and write this review because I made the biggest mistake of my life, letting Katrina work on my brows. I came in wanting to clean up and fill in my brows and since they are a famous company, thought I would give them a try. I shop here often and have always been curious about the hype. I originally wanted Gloria from all the good reviews but she was busy so I decided to give Katrina a try since she seems like she knows what she is doing. After she worked on my right brow, I noticed a chunk missing! WTF, I asked her what happened and she couldn't tell me, saying that I didn't have hair there. I did not let her finish because I didn't want her to do the same to my other brow. The counter was busy and maybe she was distracted, but it does not justify a huge major mistake like that. I felt like crying and screaming at the same time but I froze because I could not believe it happened to me. I should have waited for Gloria. The worst part is that Katrina didn't even apologize for what she did! She made excuses and made me feel bad for my missing eyebrow. What a Bi**h! I can't even cover it up with a pencil or powder and make it look normal, I'm going to have to wait for months for it to grow out. Please stay away from Katrina. Don't let her "sweetness" fool you. I even heard her talking shit to another co-worker about another client... Nice to know once you leave they will talk shit about you. Never again!! My Review goes to Celeste at Anastasia Beverly brows inside Nordstrom in Cerritos Center mall. Since before I met Celeste I saw how great a job she does on eyebrows when I asked an employee where they had their eyebrows done because they were flawless, looked amazing and so natural. They said they got them done with Celeste, so I immediately booked an appointment with Celeste because my eyebrows needed rescue, asap, as mine were extremely hairy since I had been trying to grow them out to start fresh. Celeste did not disappoint at all, she asked questions on my eyebrows history and explained her process to me, everything about her handling my eyebrows was on point from the cleanliness, to the shaping of my brows, experienced and polite. I'm extremely satisfied! with my new looking brows, and every time I come my brows are looking in way better shape than before I came to her. Ask for Katrina. The first time I came, she did my eyebrows and I was so happy with them. Today I went and Gloria did them and I am so upset. She didn't include me in the process as Katrina did. Katrina took me step by step, making sure I knew everything she was going to do. Gloria did what she thought was best, even after I told her what I wanted. I saw Becca on the recommendation of my bff and her sister and I was not disappointed. Becca was ready for me on time, she was super friendly and easy to talk to, she asked what I was hoping to accomplish with my brows, and once we had a plan, she explained her process. She showed me what she was gonna leave and what she was gonna wax off and told me about the shape and where the brows should start/stop/peak, etc. She used some brow definer to kind of fill in the parts that would remain then waxed off the parts outside the line. When we were done, my brows looked great. She showed me a couple little spots that I need to let grow in and that was it. I let the girl know that I needed help w my brows and wanted to buy some products. She was w a client so she grabbed someone from a different counter to help me. The girl asked "pencil or powder?" Lol I said "pencil, I guess?" I'm not familiar w this brand...well, she showed me two colors on my hand and that was it. Maybe she wasn't familiar w the products either? lol I worked for Nordstrom a few years ago and I would have not provided this kind of service. I would have sat the client down and showed her products and how to apply them. I was there to shop so I was pretty bummed I didn't get the help I was hoping for. Sincerely disappointed, had an apt scheduled for today at 1:00 which was confirmed at 7:30pm last night when they called. I received at call a little over an hour before my apt to cancel and no way to reschedule for today. I am moving out of state so no opportunity for me to reschedule for this week. This Anastasia studio is the best! I've been here multiple times since January and I must say all the Anastasia girls here are great! Gloria, Becca, and Kat are all super nice and are really good at what they do. They all have different personalities, but I can see why this place is so popular; they work great as a team and have amazing people skills (and brow skills too). The only thing I notice that's different about them is their station; Gloria is always stationed to wax the brows with customers laying down and Becca and Kat does them sitting up. Results and experience are great regardless of chair, but I could see this being an issue to some customers who may be used to laying down or may have back issues, etc. I suggest letting them know a preference of chair when making an appointment to set you up with the best station for you. On that note, make an appointment! You'll be so glad you did because these girls book up super fast. Each session is about 30 minutes so they definitely take their time with your brows, analyzing them, waxing them, and filling them in for you. I must confess, my brows aren't the best of shape. They're fine, far apart, stick downwards, and are uneven with holes. Thanks to the girls here at this studio, they've definitely whipped these caterpillars into shape. They showed me exactly which hairs to keep and what areas to grow out based off a stencil that fits my bone structure. Wasn't used to it filled in at first (because I never filled them), but now I feel naked if I don't lol. Even though my brows are a work in progress, it's so much easier to maintain and fill them in now that I actually have an overall shape. Definitely looking forward to my next visit; til then as the girls here would say, "don't touch!" read more

I went here thinking my eyebrows were going to look amazing but I ended up with two different brows ...Gloria did my eyebrows I believe she's the manager ..I didn't notice my eyebrows until I got home and noticed they were really bad so I called and she said its normal and part of the letting them grow out and shaping process so I believed her I showed up a few weeks later for my appointment to find out she was on vacation I didn't get a phone call from her to reschedule or to even let me know so I was pretty upset ...so a nordstrom employee had to reschedule me ....I finally got my brows done by her and again I wasn't satisfied but again I figure Gloria is the expert ...I went with her again so this is the 3rd time and again not happy but she told me I would see a nice shape in 6 months so again I made a 4th appointment I showed up and again she had a training I wasn't aware she didn't call me to reschedule she's very nice but very unprofessional I really needed my eyebrows done so I went to zibas and the lady doing my brows said my eyebrows were really bad its been 2 months and my brows look amazing ....ladies its not all about the name and price $30.00 down the drain each time I went never again !!!!! read more
