I went in for a touch-up since I was getting close to my year mark and am moving soon. My brows stayed very well- I easily could've waited at least another several months to go in. Krystal once again worked her magic and I left feeling fresh (or as fresh as one can in these crazy times). I got my eyebrows micro-bladed two days ago and am already in love with them. I was hesitant to get micro-blading even though I've always hated my brows. I had an appointment with Krystal for Brow Lamination/ Fluffy Brows. I have had brow lamination done twice at other establishments previously, but never like how Krystal did them. They came out so full and even better than I anticipated. Krystal was super informative and checked-in about the shape and tint I was looking for by letting me look in the mirror and asking questions before and during the process. After years of tweezing, waxing and threading, I was left with very thin brows. Thank God for Krystal, the Browstress. My youngest daughter made my appointment and I must thank her for that. Krystal and I did a consultation and I had pictures of what I thought was the perfect brow and the process started. Krystal cleaned my brow area, measured my eye/brow area and started sketching an outline of what my new brows would look like. After a minor change, the numbing cream was applied to my brow area and the 30-minute wait process started. We chatted as the numbing cream started to do its' thing and then Krystal started to do her thing. She talked to me through the whole process, making sure I was comfortable as she went along with the task at hand. There was a young lady observing so that she could take this talent back to the salon she worked at. I must say that I am extremely happy with the finished product and I have received tons of compliments from my family and friends. I recommend anyone who is brow challenged, like I was. I hate having to leave this review because Krystal was very lovely, but my microblading and freckle treatment has been a huge and costly ordeal, just over a year later. My tattoo pigment changed color (a very unnatural gray) within a year of service and since Browstress does not offer any removal services, I've had to look elsewhere for a fix. Now, 2 expensive saline removal treatments later and my brows still look dark grey and I'm going to have to get them treated with a laser to finally get them off my face. The freckles which id been told would likely fade within a year or two were still extremely dark, and the technician who did my removals so far said that the brow and freckle strokes were placed WAY too deep into my skin and that if i had not sought removal they would be there likely forever. Needless to say I'm really disappointed and upset that I've had to sink so much time and money into correcting Browstress mistake. Just wanted to share my experience so anyone else considering a service will be sure to ask about tattoo depth and potential color changes. read more

Krystal is amazing and I absolutely LOVE how my brows turned out!!! I just had my touch up appointment after 6 weeks of healing and not even an hour after leaving my appointment I received 2 separate compliments from strangers on how amazing my brows look! I love how real the microblading strokes she does look and she did a great job blending them in with my natural shape and color. About a month ago I got my microblading touched up by Krystal after having them fade from when I initially got them done by a different artist in Philly. Her space is so well decorated and cozy and she made sure I was comfortable the whole time. She asked me what type of shape I wanted and asked for photos which I really appreciated because I'm so picky with my brows. Krystal has an undeniable talent and my grandmother and I are extremely grateful that she has accepted what she was so clearly called to do. We couldn't be more pleased with the services we received! The BrowsTress studio is modern, chic, and clean. I would describe Krystal's approach/technique similarly. During my consultation, Krystal and I spoke about my desired brow shape (for brow sculpting) and I showed her a video of a snapchat freckles filter to provide some inspiration for my own placement and desired amount (for freckles/beauty marks - regular). She was intentional about giving me agency throughout the process (i.e., providing me with multiple opportunities at various stages to look in the mirror and accept or make changes/suggestions). During my grandmother's consultation, it was decided that eyebrow tinting would be an appropriate introduction to brow sculpting. When she looked in the mirror at the results my grandmother said with great confidence that she would come back and pursue a more permanent option. Love my nanobladed brows and have been getting so many compliments on them since having them done (the best of which came from my fiancé's stepdad commenting on how perfectly shaped they were, not knowing that I had anything done to them). Krystal is great and shapes/outlines your brows beforehand so you know exactly what to expect and then takes into consideration any changes you want to make during the touch up appt. Krystal's work is easy to get lost in on the gram. She is a patient and lovely soul that has real skills and is there to listen to what you want. I received faux freckles and now want a few more.
