I have been a patient of Dr. Piszel's since December 2018. He has seen me on my worst days and helped me to get back to being myself again. He has helped me through a microdisectomy on my L5/S1, a Spinal Fusion on my L5/S1, and finally I was able to get a Spinal Cord Stimulator implanted and now I do not have any nerve pain at all. He knows his patients by their name and doesn't treat them like a dollar sign. He cares about every patient he sees. I highly recommend him for all of your pain management needs. read more

Remember when you were a kid and stood there at the edge of the pool ... hesitant to jump. Sometimes all it takes is a push. My spouse has visited Piszel from 2017 until now. People at times has alcohol in their urine. My husbands dr asked if he drank. He is diabetic and alcohol will show up I. Urine. He died of cirrhosis of the liver from his diabetes. Dr need to know these things! They just don't care anymore!!!! read more

Dr Piszel has been seeing my wife for the past year via Workers Comp. their office has made everything take as long as possible. They have a rule that patients cannot go back with any other guests; however their patients sometimes need assistance and support which is not being provided by the office. After requesting this for the fourth time, politely, my wife was discharged. Because Worker's Comp. does not act swiftly this ultimately means she will not be getting the medication that she needs, Will go through withdrawal, and will be in excruciating pain for an undetermined amount of time. This office does not exemplify the motto of "do no harm "if you ever have a choice in physician never see Dr. Piszel. Also never leave a message or expect Carol to do anything on your behalf - She is by far the most incompetent and stubborn medical assistant I have ever encountered in my life. read more

I love Dr. Piszel. He's the best pain management Dr. I've seen, although he's only the second one I've seen. I'm an inherited client from the Dr. who had the practice prior, and have been with Dr. Piszel about 3 years, and about 2 years with the other Doctor. Well, it doesn't matter, I'm so happy with Dr. Piszel. He treats me like a sentient human, and not an idiot. He listens to me carefully, respects my wishes & preferences, sends me for appropriate testing to completely understand my situation, and carefully considers what medication regimen will benefit me. We have had many an informative and sometimes spirited discussion on many subjects. I'm rather dismayed to read about others negative experiences with Dr. Piszel as I've never had cause to report anything other than stellar treatment. I hope those of you who were dissatisfied were able to find someone else to take care of you. Needing a pain Dr. is no joke. Normally Dr. Piszel would walk in and give me a hug and we talk for a few, then down to business. Then a big hug when I leave, with plenty of laughs in between. Today was very different. He came in, asked how I was doing without missing a step as he walked to computer and sat down. Humm...no hug, no smiles, WTH. Then he informed me that I tested positive for amphetamines and meth in January and May. I don't even drink let alone recreational drugs. And as Drs call me morbidly obese... how could I be doing meth or amphetamines? He said if he couldn't explain it, he'd have to discharge me. He left the room without a word. I thought he was going to figure it out and and come back. Nope...nurse came in, gave me a discharge letter and that was that. I was shocked. He could of at least said his hands were tied and hug me good bye. He hurt me bad today. A friend called as I was sitting in parking lot crying, so I told her. She asked if I take stomach meds.. yes. Aparently it can give a false positive. So I googled zantac and pantropazole. Yep... sure does. And so can ibuprofen. Wow... I take pantropazole 2 sometimes 3 a day. Zantac is given to me before and sometimes after any procedure that I'm asleep for. Ibuprofen I take 2 600mg tabs couple times a day. A pain Dr should know this. Tried to see him again to explain...nope, wanted nothing to do with me. Made me feel like an addict and a criminal. No Dr should do that to a person. He gave me 3-5mins of his time to figure it out. How am I supposed to know? If my friend hadn't told me, I still would be at a loss as to why I tested positive. So until today I would have given him a 5. My wife went in this morning for a follow up appointment. After providing the standard urine test shortly afterwards she was basically frogmarched out of the office whilst publicly being berated for having a high level of alcohol in her system, now here's the kicker She does not drink. The treatment of my wife by Dr Piszels staff was disgraceful. When she asked repeatedly to see Dr Piszel and to retake the test it was met with "He is done with you, leave". My wife has Lupus and having recently moved to Florida where I am currently deployed on base. Having read these other 2 reviews for such a wonderful doctor I can only assume this was actually written by members of staff. My wife obviously very upset returned home to inform me of this so I called and was met with nothing short of comedic excuses as to what happened and why they would no longer see my wife as a patient. Further looking at this practice on Google i saw a litany of nigh on identical reports. I am amazed this Doctor has not been reported to the State licensing board, something that I will address immediately after the abhorrent treatment of my wife. DO NOT SEE THIS DOCTOR. read more
