WARNING: Novel ahead! Because I feel like writing today. I would give this doctor 1 star, but I'm giving 2 stars because his office staff was wonderful and I hate to take away from them. They were very friendly, helped me with my kids in the waiting room, and were quick to get my paperwork processed. He also correctly diagnosed my son, so I need to acknowledge that, even though it was a pretty basic case, based on what he said. I made an appointment with Dr. Reisman, even though I wanted to see Dr. Jacobs originally, based on his 5 star Yelp reviews. Since Yelp isn't the end all be all (and I know plenty of people who are awesome with less than 5 stars) I decided I'd see Dr. Reisman instead because I needed to get my son in ASAP. Unfortunately, once I met him, it became clear why he was available in such short notice. Now, I understand that sometimes people have a rough day, so even though he was completely condescending and rude to me when we came in, I decided to let it go. He correctly diagnosed my son and for that I'm grateful; however, I left there thinking "I'm never paying my hard earned cash to see that person again," forgetting the fact I would need to speak to him in the near future about my son's test results. I quickly got over the frustration of this appointment because obviously, not a big deal in the long run; however, when he called me 5 days later to tell me the results of my son's test, I was quickly transported to the moment I met him. To make a short story long, he called my home phone first and not my cell that was also listed, which is totally fine. We never get real calls on our home phone line and (just for kicks since it's been a bit of a rough day) for the first time ever my husband decides to pick up the phone and say, "Dominos Pizza!" A time old prank tradition that dates back to when the telephone was invented, I'm sure. Instead of laughing about it and just moving on, he was his usual self! The doctor said, "Really?" My husband replied, "No it's not." The doctor asked, "May I speak to Mrs. Roblee?" My husband asked, "May I ask who is calling?" He raised his voice saying, "A doctor!" At this point my husband gingerly handed me the phone, realizing he had made a mistake of epic proportion and when I said hello, the person on the line angrily inquired, "Who was THAT?" Remember, I still have no idea who this was so I wasn't sure who was even asking. I told him it was my husband. He said, "Well, I'm glad THAT is over...this is Dr. Reisman," in his seriously offended voice, and was obviously really annoyed. Oh yes! I know that voice! Now, I can understand that if someone is having a bad day, this might not be a fun moment for them, especially after a long day of doctoring, even for the most lax person. I sincerely apologized and said how sorry I am and that we never get real calls on this phone. He raised his voice and said, "YOU LISTED THIS AS YOUR NUMBER." I was so taken aback at how angry he seemed, but not surprised since I saw how poor his bedside manner was at the last appointment. I simply said, "As I said, I apologize for the mistake." He then stated the rest of the information and I just let him speak until he was done. (In our appointment he would condescendingly say "let me finish" when I was about to ask him a question at a time in the conversation when it would seem a question should be allowed). I simply said thank you and goodbye. I hesitated writing all of this out because I generally do NOT care enough about stuff like this. And who has time for this? Well I'm making time. I'm totally willing to let stuff slide because let's face it, we're all human; however, the interactions with him were so bad that I felt it necessary to share. There are too many kind and caring doctors to even give this guy a try. Also, to be honest, it feels good to get this down in writing. This has been such an unpleasant experience I felt it necessary to take the time to be detailed. When I pay for a service (cash, no less!) he is providing, I expect to get treated like an adult, not a child who needs reprimanding and reproach. Anyway, if you see this guy, make sure to not EVER make a joke or expect a normal response. Do not even think about interjecting or asking a question when he isn't ready for it. Just go in, state the problem, don't speak before spoken to and for God's sake do NOT answer the phone "Dominos Pizza!" when he calls......actually you know what? My surgery went well, had surfer's ear and doctor Reisman removed a fairly large bone mass from my inner ear. Now no water gets trapped and can go under water again without getting any in my inner ear that I can't get out. read more

Professional, competent, and caring... Dr. Bruce Reisman and his staff are stellar examples of what patient care and wonderful customer service should be everywhere. Because of a pretty serious illness, I have been a patient over the last several months. From the first phone call, the members of their team have been friendly, welcoming and helpful. Since I had to be out of work for a while, I have had to deal with an insurance company, my employer, disability and more. The team here has been very helpful every step of the way. In fact, they have worked on my behalf to 'fix' the other interested 'parties' mistakes, and they have done so with that same gregarious and positive attitude I have become accustomed to. When they say they will call, or have called ... they have. When they say they will fax something... it's faxed right then and there. When they say something will be mailed... you can find it in your mailbox the next day. When you ask for a note to be rewritten four times because of other people's mistakes (not theirs).... it's done... that day! When you expect a doctor and their team to treat you with care, and dignity, and to help heal you ... they do! I would not hesitate to recommend this doctor, and/or this office to anyone. In fact, I already have! Additionally, I've recently become aware of several friends and neighbors who have been patients here as well. They all have nothing but positive remarks. This is the best service I've had at a doctors office in California. Definitely the best surgical skill bar none, for any location that I've experienced. Had significant problems with clearing my right ear and also had issues with my adenoids and deviated septum. Doctor Reisman had me under for a few hours but managed to do 4 surgeries in my throat during that period of time (which helped me avoid having to take extra time off work). Really a solid individual and as someone that's had a botched ENT job elsewhere... man I really wish I'd found this guy earlier. He's definitely an old school, natural skill type surgeon. Very impressive human being, worked with me on insurance and was really assistive and patient. I felt comfortable here the entire time. read more

I've been a patient of Dr. Reisman for almost 20 years! He performed surgery on my nose and throat and it definitely cured my snoring! The sad news is that he's now retired, but the good news is that Dr. Richard Liu is now my ENT. Want to mention a special callout to Lisa, the nurse at the office is wonderful! Dr. Reisman has the bedside manner of an asp. He was rude and condescending, when what you need is an empathetic ear and hope. I cannot recommend this doctor less. read more

Dr. Reisman is an overall friendly Doctor who is relatable and not stiff or "cold" as some specialists can be. He doesn't have a huge ego and is genuinely a "nice guy." I feel safe in his hands and I do believe he cares for his patients. He helped my family be informed on the outcome of my surgery - as I requested. I also saw him connect with other patients; he is really kind-hearted and helps make patients feel at ease. I would have to admit that he didn't at first understand the challenges patients with chronic pain or Fibromyalgia go through during medical or painful situations. It seemed like he wanted to understand but didn't fully grasp how painful things are for me; However, after building up rapport I feel like Dr. Reisman definitely has a better understanding of Fibromyalgia patients! I believe he now knows how painful some procedures are, the length of recovery and the unique symptoms we might have. At the second followup appt he really conveyed that he understood that my Fibromyalgia leaves me in more pain than what's typical. That in itself is a blessing and I hope he continues to educate himself about chronic pain and Fibromyalgia for future patients. His Medical Assistant, Lisa, is a sweetheart and a five-star health specialist!!! She is honest and open with a huge heart!!! She called to check up on me after surgery and was always able to answer my questions and or concerns. I never felt like I was asking a dumb question with her. She is very maternal and you will feel cared for when you are in her care. I can't say enough good things about her, she really is outstanding and a shining star!!! The ladies at the front desk are also very kind and helpful. I never felt like my calling was an inconvenience and I was never ignored or hung up on. "Professional patients" will know what I'm talking about. The people that work in the office and kind and caring. They actually care!!! That is a huge thing when most offices are lacking that empathy. Basically, if you call, your questions will get answered or you will get a call back or they might even try and squeeze you in for an appointment. Do not hesitate to call. This office has only professional health care specialists and you will feel taken care of. I would definitely recommend Dr. Reisman as a Surgeon and E.N.T. He was a referral through a loved one. He has a busy schedule but he takes his patients' health very seriously and you want that in a Dr. !!! read more

I recently had surgery for bilateral exostosis (surfer's ear in both ears) and I must say this is by far the most pleasant experience I've ever had in a medical setting. I always thought going to the doctor was a nightmare, until I met Dr.s Reisman and Jacobs. Both are absolute professionals and really nice guys. The rest of the staff was amazing as well, from front office staff to nurses and assistants. I never had to wait more than10 minutes for anything, and when I had to have surgery, Dr. Reisman was as reassuring as can be. After the surgery there was no pain at all! Now, 8 weeks on, I am unbelievably happy with the results. Both of my parents and my wife have worked for years in the medical profession, and my wife agreed she has never met people as welcoming and helpful as in this office and the surgery center where my procedure was done. I recently had a very successful surgery to remove a benign parotid tumor on the right side of my neck, performed by Dr. Bruce Reisman. He is by far a very capable and professional surgeon, who cares for his patients. I really felt very safe in his hands. After having an ear infection for a few weeks and being inaccurately diagnosed, I called ENT Associates where I was able to get an appointment early the next week. I was asked to come in at 2:30 to complete paperwork, etc for a 3 o clock appointment. I was called back at 3:01!!! I'm pretty sure that this is the first time a doctor's appointment has EVER been on time (& I didn't wait forever for him in the examining room either)! Dr. Reisman was very nice, took the time to explain to me what probably happened with the inaccurate diagnosis and deep cleaned my ear out! This is the first time I've been able to hear for about a month! He got me in and out, answered my questions and made me feel so much better without rushing me at all! I was diagnosed with malignant melanoma on my lower lip in December. My world stopped until my appointment with Dr. Reisman and surgery soon after. He was empathetic and competent, I was assured the removal of the Cancer and some lymph nodes would result in a small scar. Today the stitches were removed and I was surprised by how small the scar was. I will be forever thankful for Dr. Reisman and his skilled hands. There is still a long road to be Cancer free but life just got better. read more

Dr.Reisman is very concise with his communication telling you exactly what the issue is and how he will resolve it. He is quick but knows how to spend quality time with patients. His staff is friendly and well trained. I would recommend Dr.Reisman and give him a 5 star rating. He and Dr.Jacobs are both excellent - and so is their entire office. read more

I went in with persistent headaches and nausea due to an inner ear problem. Dr. Reisman spent a maximum of 15 minutes with me--basically looking in my ear, nose, and throat (good job, doc!), and had me walk around a bit to check my balance, he then walked me out to the receptionists office, handed me a card for the audiologist who he said would call me for a hearing test, and then sent me on my way. It's been two weeks and I haven't heard a word since. I don't know who let the ball drop here--the doctor's office or the audiologist who was supposed to call me to schedule a hearing test, but I'm glad my instinct told me to seek different medical advice ASAP. I've since been to another doctor whose care I'm currently under. This was a rare occasion when I felt like the doctor really didn't care. read more

I don't even think this place deserve a star!!! First the staff people were very lazy and no customer service at all. The first time I booked an appointment, they do not have anything sooner so I ask if they have a wait list in case someone cancels. This is what they told me" they do not do that in the office because they are so busy and understaffed" hello people that will jst take 1 minute of your precious time. Then on my appointment time, the doctor was late for 1 hour and 15 minutes!!! and nobody even bothered to call and notify me. Very unprofessional. This is the best part, after 2 hours of waiting- the doctor , the supposed specialist could not even tell me why I am having the symptoms I was having. He was like "uh i don't know why you are having those symptoms" further testings plssssss....... he jst looked at my ear for a second and that is it! No patient care and dedication. save your time and co pay and look for another doctor. read more

I am shocked at these reviews! Dr. Reisman and his WONDERFUL staff have always been kind, courteous and caring at a time when My mother and I needed it the most. For over a year, this incredible group of professionals cared for my Mother who was diagnosed with oral cancer. Dr. Reisman and his staff ALWAYS made us feel special. Many times Dr. Reisman went out of his way to call me just to see how my Mother was doing. Now you tell me how many Doctors. do that? Only ones who truly care about their patients. Thank you Dr. Reisman, Dr. Jacobs , Lisa and staff for treating my mother and I with such love and compassion. You all hold a special place in my heart. My mother passed away on Nov. 16. But during this incredibly difficult time in her life, she always said that Dr. Reisman had been a godsend to her and how blessed she was to have found him. My husband saw Dr. Reisman for a case of positional vertigo. Everyone in his office was friendly and professional. Dr. Reisman was extremely thorough and had a great bedside manner. He performed the epley maneuver, which quickly resolved my husband's vertigo and showed me how to perform it, if needed, in the future. So glad to find such an excellent doctor right in my neighborhood! read more
