The parent-in-laws talk about Salmon Sundays all the time, and how the HAD to take us there. We went tonight. This place looks like an old general store with a covered in patio that acts as the dining room. Very quaint. Nothing fancy. The meal was fantastic. $14.99 gets you a delicious salmon steak, veggies, a baked potato (mmm, it's been so long), coffee or tea, and a desert (apple crisp with whip cream or ice cream). It really was delicious! Well 3 years later and still same great food and all - except it's now $17.99. Still a good deal though.

I went to Bruce's today because I wanted to try their famous smoked salmon sandwich. However, by the time I got there they were sold out (but I will go earlier next Sunday haha). I did buy their Colzone and their ham and cheese croissant. I must say the Colzone was so darn delicious and huge! Bruce's is a grocery store plus deli. They have variety of great produce and home made breads. I heard their in house smoked salmon is the best but it was sold out. Overall, I had a pleasant experience and had a great lunch there. 4 stars because the at the store are not very helpful at all. The deli staff members are good but the store staff seem to ignore you at all costs possible. I will go there for the food since I live close enough.

A Maple Ridge landmark. People come from all over the lower mainland for one of their sandwiches. I guarantee you - their sandwiches are the best!! Choose your bread, meat, cheese, and fixings. Bruce's market has it all. To-die-for desserts, home-cooked meals & soup, groceries, gift ideas, and salmon that caught by their very own fishermen. They have all kinds of special events; follow their Facebook page to keep posted. Dine inside or get your meal to go! I would give five stars except for the service could be a lot better and their prices are quite high, which is kind of a bummer for locals utilizing Bruce's as their local market. However, everything they sell is top-quality so us local yocals usually don't mind paying the price. There's so many cool things in-store, you definitely have to check it out!!

This was a great deli & market we stopped by pick up interesting snacks before we went into the nearby Golden Ears Park. Really good chowder.

Da BOMB. Nothing beats a Smoked Salmon Sandy from Bruce's.

The menu had changed quite a bit and the food was not as good. I think it was because they had lost their chef. We read very good reviews recently and there was a new chef, so we decided to give it another try. We made reservations for Sunday. At first we were seated at the end of the room with a door that connected to the pub next door. It was a windy day and with the door open it was very chilly where we were seated. We asked to be moved. There were 2 large groups in the room when we were there but fortunately, they were not noisy so we did not have to shout in order to talk to each other. Our server was very good. We shared an order of chili chicken as an appetizer. My husband enjoyed it but I found the chicken dry. The chicken pieces were very small, most were the size of my small fingertip, hence the dryness. I felt that there was almost as much batter as there was chicken. Disappointing. For entrees my husband had prawn pesto linguine that was decent. I had grilled salmon. The salmon was well cooked but it could have used a sauce or seasoning to give it more flavour. The vegetables that were served with it consisted mainly of peppers with a couple of stalks of asparagus. We did order dessert. After 15 minutes our server said it was on it's way. After another 10 minutes we just gave up and asked for our bill. It was overall a very disappointing evening. For what is offered we felt the prices are a bit on the high side. We might return as this used to be one of our favorites. Hopefully it's just going through growing pains with a new chef and new menu.

I've never gone this far to Langley just for blackbean noodles while my go to place would be Heeraedeung or Manli Jiangsung. We ordered Family Combo A ($43.95) that's big for 3 people it came with Jjambbong (Spicy seafood noodle), Jajangmyun(Black bean noodles) and Tangsooyuk (Sweet and sour pork). Food was pretty good. We ordered a combo with Tangsooyuk because someone said they make Tangsooyuk better than Kkangpoonggi (spicy fried chicken). Jajangmyun and Jjambbong were excellent. My sister and I found Jjambbong little bit spicy for our liking. I couldn't drink all the soup for this reason. But still their Jjambbong was pretty good in my personal opinion. I also like how Jjambbong had plentiful of seafood toppings especially squids. Tangsooyuk was so fresh and crispy. It came with so much dipping sauce in a separate bowl. We ended up taking some food home without the sauce. I just think there was too much sauce for the deep fried pork. I really enjoyed eating here with my family until this disaster happened. I slipped the bowl of spicy soup from my hands and spilled it onto my jeans. My jeans ended up smelling spicy, haha. Anyways I'd go back here with my family someday.

There is some confusion about what type of food this place serves across Yelp, Google and Trip…read moreAdvisor... Came here because almost all searches said that this is a place for Chinese food - IT IS NOT ! This place serves Korean Food ONLY.. Menu items are Korean like Fried Chicken, Soju, Spicy Seafood soup, and more.. Ordered the Spicy Seafood soup and Rice combo. The rice came in the smallest bowl possible and the Seafood Soup was mostly onions and some cabbage with VERY little quantity of shrimp, octopus and some type of fish.. Prices on the menu are steep and for a first timer, thinking that this is listed as Chinese Food everywhere, the choices one can make are limited.. This place IS a hit with the Korean Clientele because everyone else sitting there was Korean... The service was good - no doubt about that.. Highly doubt that i would come back here...
