Chicken Parm
Paul J.

Same menu as the place next door. Really fun old building with wooden rafters and a very cozy looking bar maybe a TV or two. I have the chicken parm and the chicken was hand-breaded and crunchy with a delightful red sauce. The spaghetti was a little dry but the star of the show was the chicken. We also ordered fettuccine alfredo with chicken and the alfredo was fantastic I would definitely explore that the next time. They have a full bar so we started off with cocktails and they bring out some delicious warm bread which comes with a little plate of garlic and then you add as much olive oil and balsamic vinegar as you like and dip it in there.

Bacon wrapped stuffed jalapenos were the bomb!

Great bar if your in Ellensburg and since they offer the same food menu as Ellensburg Pasta Co, you can enjoy some good food and daily specials in a unique atmosphere. Max, their bartender, was great. Good friendly service

Tucked away behind the Ellensburg Pasta Company, it's a good place for dinner and drinks. Cozy and social. Good food and service.

Normally I would give 5 stars. I love The Tav. It's a go-to place for me to get dinner on my own,…read moretypically weekly if I am in town. . The service is friendly and very good; I don't take these for granted. I get quick response from an eyelock from the guy behind the counter, who knows what I will be ordering. A homie. I can order with an eye lock. I like the food that I wouldn't make at home. Normally I would give 5 stars, but not tonight. The bar is a little awkward for a small person, but the staff know what to expect from a regular customer. So I sit at the small table in the window where I can order with an eye-lock and a raised eyebrow. The only thing that The Tav lacks is a place for a woman to hang her purse under the table or bar. This leaves me hanging my handbag off my knee. This is annoying, and completely unnecessary. I brought this to the attention of a courteous wait staff member previously. When I inquired again , I learned that the message had been relayed. Apparenly it has not motivated any plan of action. This is a problem I could solve in an hour, with the tools and hooks in my own house.

I ordered their jalapeño pepper burger, while my friends ordered some of the other burgers on the menu. We ordered two large fries and onion rings to share, and the portions were big. Definitely worth it. I'll be back next time I'm in the area

Incredible spot! We were traveling with grandparents and a kiddo with food allergies (wheat and…read morepeanuts). The hostess who sat us was so sweet and our server did a great job walking us through how they handle allergies. The even have a dedicated fryer for gluten free items! We got to the restaurant between breakfast and lunch. I absolutely recommend everything! My kiddo got a burger and fries that he loved, I got the corned beef hash skillet, my mother-in-law got the fish and chips. The fish and chips were amazing! Huge portions of fish dipped in a light, airy batter. The rest of our party got burgers and highly recommended the truffle fries. We didn't partake in any of their drinks but they had a great menu of options, we will absolutely be back.

Honestly, if your establishment holds 10 or 100 people, the staff and kitchen should be able to manage that number. We saw one table actually leave after waiting longer than us without their food because they had somewhere else to be. Not great. Once the food finally arrived we were so hungry that I'm certain anything would have tasted good. We didn't complain or ask but they did remove one soda from the tab. It's a cute place with a decent menu but I'm on the fence about bothering to give them another try.

My…read morebetter half of the kids had been here once before, I'm very glad that they decided to return with me in tow! It's a pretty basic set up... like really basic! I upon entering, you are greeted with tables on the left side of the dining room, and a bar on the right side. It's probably seating for 40, and there are a large number of TVs for the size of the space. We stopped in on an evening when the Seahawks were playing, so it worked out very well! The bar is about two steps up from a dive, and had a nice array of nonalcoholic options in addition to the standard, small town, alcohol fare. The food was quite good, and pretty straightforward. It's pretty standard bar type food, with a couple of nice burger options, a couple salads, and a couple other fried options. We ended up with a number of different burgers, and a couple of salads. Everything was made when we ordered it, and was really good size for the price. Our waitress took really good care of us, and everybody left full and very happy with the decision to stop in! They're honestly was nothing we didn't enjoy it. The food, the service, the overall vibe and the price. We're all exactly what we were looking for. This is definitely a spot. We will be back to, and was a big win for the evening!
