This was my first time visiting Bruegger's Bagels, and I was immediately welcomed by the sound of staff laughing and smiling - such a warm and inviting atmosphere to walk into! I mentioned that, for religious reasons, I needed to ensure nothing that touched pork came in contact with my food, and the staff was incredibly understanding and accommodating - not every place is like that, and I truly appreciated their kindness. I ordered an everything bagel with strawberry cream cheese, and it was absolutely delicious! I'll definitely be stopping by more often. Craved a fluffy bagel with cream cheese. I received a bagel with dough that was clearly overworked with no rise. Not fluffy and risen as bagel dough should be. Not what I expected. Two weeks ago I tried to get a custom bagel sandwich. the server couldn't decide whether to help me (which I was there before the phone rang) or the person on the phone. I had a specific custom order. Unfortunately it was done wrong so they remade my order which was still wrong.... I'm not sure why they can't handle custom orders especially at the price point that I'm paying, Not going to this franchise anymore. read more

I get the cinnamon bagel, always great, coffee is always good and fresh. The service, is unspeakable. The ladies are always very very polite, they are always cheery and great to deal with. The nice guy in the back making bagels is also always polite and has a smile. If only other businesses could have employees like here, it would be amazing. Bruegger's Bagels usually always hits the spot and have always had a positive experience, but not at this location. We showed up around 11:30am and the line was out the door moving so slow, all the seating has been removed, and the bathroom was out of order. When we got to the front finally to order, they were out of most of the bagels and the staff was so so rude. Everyone looked miserable, staff was yelling at customers AND each other, and overall horrible environment. Once we did order, the bagels came out fast but the cashier was very rude and everyone just looked like they hated working there. Will definitely NOT be coming back to this location. read more

Bruegger's is a chain, but they're not so big that quality is compromised. Their bagels are always soft and fresh, and their cream cheese rich and creamy. I like the interesting bagel flavors they feature throughout the year (the apple cinnamon was my latest adventure). Their "gourmet bagels" offer nice alternatives to the classic bagel choices when you're in the mood for something different. Speaking of bold flavor choices, their sriracha honey cream cheese is awesome. When I stop in shop I frequent the Dewitt location, and I've always received prompt service. Definitely skip Dunkin and come here. read more

First bagel I had in NY and was a bit disappointed. Too chewy and it wasn't as crispy as I would've liked it to have been. I ordered a smoked salmon bagel sandwich and their cream cheese was too salty. Their smoked salmon barely had any flavor, and their slices of red onion were too thick that the onion flavor took over the entire flavor profile of the bagel sandwich. One morning my husband and I were shopping around in the area, and I really wanted a bacon egg and cheese! We never go here, but I said hey why not... I'm glad we did! It was super tasty and exactly what I wanted. Being that I am from Long Island, I refuse to say any bagel up in Syracuse is worth a 5 star review, but I would say this was pretty close to a perfect bacon egg and cheese on a bagel! Ever since moving from Florida I had craved Einstein's Bagels. They were a Sunday morning staple for me before I went to work. Now Bruegger's isn't quite Einstein's, they lack a certain bagel hot dog, they were quite tasty for a chain bagel shop. The bagels were not quite as soft as those that I had at recess but made up for it in flavor. I had a everything bagel which was bursting with flavor as well as an Asiago which are always a favorite. Both hot from the oven and slathered with butter. We stopped in after a failed attempt to get bagels from recess so I haven't been able to try their coffee yet since I brought in my coffee from recess. It was nice to not have gotten any flack about that when we sat down to eat. The service we received was fine, my only complaint there was we were asked if it was for here but we were still just given a bag with wrapped bagels. I was expecting a tray. The café was clean and it looked as if it was clean behind the bar as well. There was ample seating inside and out and the café was a comfortable temperature and not too loud. I don't have one convenient enough to be a weekly staple for me, but I will surely go out of my way to return sooner than later. Next time I really hope they have pretzel bagels. I came back a few weeks after this trip and have to do an update to my review. The service this time was awful. The whole crew was standing around chatting amongst themselves. Eventually when I was able to make my order I had to remind my cashier twice before I got my cold and sour coffee and my bagel was made with the wrong topping. For this I have knocked off a star. Consistency is key as is paying attention to your job. read more

Busy place most days so you get the sense of urgency when you go in as you are whisked down the line after ordering. But the food is good I will say. Particularly enjoy the pastrami egg and Swiss on the Asiago bagel. Their deli sandwiches on bagels are also rather tasty. This place is worth the trip and they do offer indoor seating but parking and getting into the lot can be tricky due to being on a main road/blvd. read more

We went to this location on a busy Sunday morning during Syracuse Family Weekend. They seemed well-staffed, and were incredibly efficient. They didn't blink at some of our detailed (or slightly quirky) orders. My 17 year old son described his brisket bagel as "incredible" and "probably the best bagel I've ever had". The coffee was also great. All 5 of us left full and happy. Bummer that corporate doesn't allow dine-in at this time (fall of 2022, so I'm not sure why...). Here's the thing. They have great bagels. Far superior to DDs. Here's what I don't like. The coffee, although very good, should be served to the customer already with cream and sugar. The menu is complete with an assortment of bagels to croissants and moist muffins. The coffee is good although not on the gourmet high side it's taste is boldly good. Bruegger's Bagels Bakery is a chain of bakeries that specializes in bagel sandwiches. As a person who loves bagels, this was a place I frequented during what I call "the Syracuse years." I was still at school in good ole' Binghamton, but I spent a majority of my weekends in Syracuse. This was one of the places I visited many times on those weekends. Here's the thing: I really like Bruegger's. I think it's a great idea (since I LOVE my bagels so much). I just don't particularly like this location very much. In comparison, the employees at this Bruegger's are not as nice as the employees at the other locations. They also tend to be A LOT slower. It takes forever to get through the line. I didn't usually come here very early either-maybe around noon was the earliest. It shouldn't have taken that long when it wasn't even busy around that time. The coffee wasn't that amazing here either. I had coffee at different Bruegger's in the area that was just better quality. It was too watery, and it was just not flavorful enough for me. Their pastries, however, were still pretty good. There was a pretty wide variety of different types too, which I really liked. I had an apple turnover there a few times that was pretty tasty. I also really liked their donuts-they had a lot of different flavors. And during the fall and winter they had hot apple cider and it was AMAZING. But overall, I would go to a different Bruegger's if you're looking for a quick meal. read more

As an Illinois native, I had never heard of Bruegger's until a coworker brought a bagel to work one day and was flabbergasted that I had never been there. Naturally, I had to try it out, and I did what any sensible person would do; I ordered a sweet and a savory bagel. Upon recommendation of an employee, I had blueberry bagel with pumpkin cream cheese along with an Asiago Parmesan bagel with the bacon scallion cream cheese. I think bacon scallion cream cheese might be my new favorite thing. Not that I didn't enjoy the other bagel, but I felt the savory one was like something I hadn't had before, whereas the pumpkin/blueberry was not new territory for me. I also had a hot chocolate which was out of this world. Like, the best hot chocolate I've ever had. I would go back just for hot chocolate. Okay, enough about that. The staff was friendly. I watched as they put the cream cheese on my bagel, very carefully and with love, unlike some places that slap it on and throw it in a bag. I also like how they cut them. read more

Breugger's is my favorite bagel establishment in Syracuse. Their bagels are soft and chewy, just the way I like them. I usually order a whole wheat bagel with turkey sausage, egg and Swiss cheese - a pretty hearty breakfast sandwich. I often stop by on the weekend before noon and experience reasonably efficient service. The staff is pretty friendly (I'm sure their shifts start pretty early in the morning, so I give 'em a break if they're not very engaging). The service was efficient, but the prices are a bit on the high side - two sandwiches, a bottle of water, a small soda and a 'cookie cup' came to just over $24. All of that aside there is one significant problem with this Bruegger's and that is it's lack of preparedness. At 12:25 pm - not yet the middle of the lunch hour - they had only one soup choice instead of the advertised three, and they had no honey wheat bread! Our sandwiches, which were supposed to be on honey wheat were served on plain white bread or a bagel, and that's disappointing when you're looking forward to honey wheat. Normally I love getting bagels at this location and they are wonderful but recently I went in and saw that staff was keeping the telephone face down on the food line. Not only is this a health code violation but it caused me to turn around and leave the establishment. Telephones carry more germs than most restaurant items and to see it leaning into one of the food bins is very troubling. read more

We are not very happy with Bruegger's bagels at this moment. We Usually go to the Bruegger's on Taft road but decided to go to the one on Erie boulevard because we had a coupon through the app that stated that we could get 6 bagels and a tub of cream cheese for 5.99 and in this time of trouble we wanted to get some for our friends also at the counter I made it clear of that. In this time of the Corona virus we figured it was safest to send one member of our family in to get the bagels to limit the amount of exposure for us and the people working there. The rest of this takes place after I checked out and had payed and before that I had made it clear that we are dropping this off to a friend. When I got in I was told that it was one per customer but in my opinion you are supposed to send one member of your family to the grocery store that should stand for getting take out also. After I stated that they said you should use that app the app that we had tried to use this morning but it didn't work so not my fault there. I would like to state again that this is just this location that we have problems with the other ones are great. This leave me thinking is the a management problem I think yes. read more

We went there today because we had a groupon, so the price was fair, but if we didn't, what a rip off it would have been. 6.59 for a bagel sandwich. They're not ever big, full size bagels! It was okay raising, but nothing to write home about and certainly jot worth the price they ask. I'd highly a recommend Panera instead. read more
