E.A.T. is the third breakfast spot for Dave & Marty Richardson. They own the Nestico's Too diner in Fairmount and the nearby Rise & Grind cafe. They also own Chelsea's Restaurant & Bar located across the parking lot from E.A.T., at the corner of Velasko Road. This 1,600-square-foot café is a cross between their full-size diner and the coffee shop. A counter stretches the length of the front windows with tall stools and plenty of charging stations for electronics. The dining room also has eight tables that each seat four customers. My wife and I met some friends at E.A.T. for the first time recently. It's a nicely decorated cafe, plenty of parking lot spaces available. We were able to easily get a table for 5. We all placed our orders, which were brought quickly. I ordered the chicken & waffles special, while my wife ordered the country biscuit dish. The chicken & waffles was said to have a hot honey maple syrup, but there was no heat to the syrup at all. The chicken was chicken tenders, which was fine, but they did not have a very good texture - they were somewhat rubbery and full of tendon. My wife enjoyed her biscuits, but her, and the rest of the table, agreed that their home fries were undercooked and grainy. We also tried their Lucky Charms special latte, which was good. Prices were decent, employees were mostly friendly. Not sure it's a place we would go out of our way to give another try. read more

Not my first time at EAT but I figured it was time for a review! This place is super convenient nearby my work. Hours are from 7-1 most days I love love love the ambiance of this little cafe. They always have some relaxing music playing and the interior design feels so groovy! I'm a big fan of Recess coffee, this cafe uses the same coffee so they're winning in my book already. Plenty of flavor choices to choose from with a pretty extensive breakfast/lunch menu as well. Today I got an iced latte with marshmallow. Their marshmallow flavoring is closer to a toasted marshmallow and I think it compliments the espresso well. I usually get a bacon, egg, and cheese on a croissant. But today went out of my typical order and got their special Breakfast tacos! And I loveddd them! The pancakes were soft, I enjoyed the mix of sausage bits and pepperoni bits, the eggs were scrambled. I hope they keep them on the menu for a while longer so I can get them again If you've got a few extra dollars, I suggest trying them out! read more

Such a cute little Cafe with unique menu items and great coffee by Recess! You order at the counter and the kitchen staff kindly brings your order out to your table. The interior is so thoughtfully decorated and the food portions are generous! Definitely recommend. read more

Quite the find. Only 5 mins from where I live... Owned by the Nestico people. It's got a cafe feeling rather than the noisy bustle of a traditional diner but diner food. I would describe E.A.T. as the sweetest secret that you'd only share with those you adore. It's such a beautiful quaint restaurant that's tucked away neatly in the shadybrook plaza. When you arrive, you grab a menu, seat yourself, and once you're ready to order, you simply make your way back to the register and place your order. The wait time between ordering and receiving our food was no more than 10-15 minutes, which allowed me a few minutes to take in just how adorable this breakfast eatery truly is. I ordered the combo #4, which came with French toast, eggs, 2 sausage links, and 2 strips of bacon. My husband ordered their frittata with Multigrain toast. We both enjoyed our meals. My husband's only suggestion was that he would have liked more cheese on his frittata, which obviously is an easy fix. The customer service was spectacular! Prices were great! read more

Tried out this new breakfast spot and was pleasantly surprised! I went for one of the savory breakfast items on the menu and it was delicious! The asiago bagel was so fresh and tasty. They serve the meals on spoon shaped plates which go well with the restaurant theme. I love the green/brown they chose for the interior design. It was very busy as it just opened and everyone is trying it out but the line didn't take too long. They also have the option to order ahead/to go which will be useful in the future. read more

Wow! I live in the area and have been wanting to try this new breakfast spot. The waiting is over! Ordered online so I could stay in my pj's. Ordering was very easy. Ordered breakfast burrito and Asiago steak egg and cheese bagel sandwich. Pickup order ready on time! I live close enough everything still nice and warm. The food was unbelievably delicious! The burrito had to weigh at least a pound. The steak bagel also huge! Prices were very reasonable for the amount of food! If you need help locating it's on Macdonald rd not far from OCC. This breakfast spot has proven to be not only convenient but a delicious option for those of us living in the Town of Onondaga. When I'm short on time on my work commute, i just call in my order on the toast app and it's always hot and ready when I get there - usually within 10 minutes. And the staff is always super friendly, which helps get my day off on the right foot. My go-to order is egg, sausage and cheese on a croissant and it's sooo good. Great visit to eat yesterday. The interior is newly remodeled and extremely clean. It was a Tuesday at 11:30 and it was not busy at all. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We ordered whipped cream for pancakes and didn't get it. We requested powdered sugar on the French toast and barely got that. The pork sausage patties we ordered--links were not available as an ala carte item--were awful: they tasted like warmed over frozen turkey sausage and had the texture of hockey pucks. To top it off, my credit card statement indicates I was billed $8 more than the emailed receipt indicates. We're in the neighborhood and pick up orders frequently, and we're not happy with EAT. If the problems are a result of being busy (it looked busy), then it's time to hire more staff. read more

You order right at the counter and they bring your food/drinks right to you. It has a clean and modern but cozy diner feel to it; the hand-painted mural on the wall is so pretty! Stopped in to EAT for a quick breakfast. We each got a drink. My husband got a full breakfast and I just got a bagel. Both were good. Next time I'd ask for a second cream cheese because they don't spread the cream cheese on for you and I find that one pack isn't enough for my liking. One thing I would change is the ordering area. The cash register is right when you walk in the door so there's not really a place to form a line without standing outside. I like the concept of the place. It's set up for a quick grab and go breakfast but they also have more sit down type meal options if you're in no rush and want something more substantial. read more

We were really looking forward to the opening. If you are looking for a full breakfast menu with the wait staff and sit down experience, go somewhere else. It is a nice niche for the coffee/breakfast sandwich take out or spot to have a combo meeting and breakfast snack. We ordered Greek scrambles with bacon and sausage on the side. Our order was average and expensive. Two scrambles, meat and fruit because I can't eat the potatoes was $37+. As mentioned below, you order on your way in and are asked to tip before you get your food or service. We plan to try it again as a take out. I am handicapped and use a walker/wheelchair. It was very difficult to enter and move around in this establishment due to its size and entryway. Upon entering we were never told that we had to order at the counter and pay for our meals and tip before we received our food. There was no signage up that we saw explaining this situation. After I realized we had spend a few dollars shy of $50 for a 2 person breakfast - I made a decision to not return and write this review. I I understand that this is a new restaurant and they need to get their ducks in a row. I hope it helps and can make it accessible to everyone. read more
