FOREVER DONE with all Bruegger's after today. Stopped in this morning on my way to donate blood and ordered breakfast and lunch for later. I used my pre-loaded account and was charged TWICE for my order by a 65 year old man making food who had black, nasty, dirty fingernails. Gross . It legit looked like he hadn't washed his hands in a week. Had I seen them before I ordered and paid, I would have walked out and gone somewhere else. Regretfully I wish I had done that regardless. I had $61 on my Bruegger's account and after ordering 3 sandwiches and scanning my barcode, they told me I still owed them $23. Nooooo. So wrong. Three sandwiches DO NOT cost more than $61. Thats ridiculous. No common sense from these employees. That's when they charged me twice for the same order. Great. Completely incompetent. They had to call the manager Steve in, who sorta fixed the issue but short changed me. I didn't notice that until I got home. But he had another woman make my order while he worked on refunding me (incorrectly) and I was focused on that. I didn't want dirty fingernails making my food. ICK! Also, I always order the herby turkey with extra tomato spread, which they charge extra for. Fine, whatever. But I just sat down to enjoy the herby turkey. There is ZERO TOMATO SPREAD ON HERE WHATSOEVER. Charged me extra for it, charged me TWICE for it... and there is not one drop of tomato spread on this sandwich at all. Lovely How difficult is it to follow simple directions? To wash your hands while preparing someone else's food? To train your staff how to operate a register without screwing customers out of their own money? And to get one straight forward order correct, especially when the customer PAID MORE for it?! Absolutely PATHETIC. Brueggers should be ashamed. Every time I stop here regardless of the location, my order is never correct. Not once. The staff is less than competent and don't know what the hell they're doing. I'm trying to get rid of the balance on my account so I can done with them for good. Bruegger's used to be packed all the time with customers. It wasn't today. Like not at all. I can easily see why. When you screw customers out of their money, can't follow simple instructions and never get their order right, you're heading for locations to close permanently. And truthfully, I'd be happy to see this franchise close. They can't seem to do anything right. Their management doesn't care either and never answers the phone or calls back. I'm not sure why I come here anymore besides I like the breakfast bagels. But after today, I'm done. There's Bagel Bin right down the street and besides not having meat, their bagels are better and staff actually seems competent. 25 minutes for 2 bagel sandwiches and 3 people that came after us were given their food before us, one that ordered and 5 minutes later got his sandwich. It wasn't due to bagels not being ready or prep, that stuff was happening but not pertinent to our order since the people after us were getting similar sandwiches. They just were making orders but not paying attention to the order they came in. But they like to argue about register cards and not having bagels prepped cause no one plans ahead. I've been a loong time ago (ordered a plain on plain), but with the recommendation I wanted to try to branch out - trusting the kind employee I got the Asiago Parmesan bagel with bacon, egg, and cheese. It was AMAZING: flavorful and filling. Their bagel itself was top notch as well! Employee answered questions of other customers about their cream cheeses with knowledge of previously personally trying it - so you know they know the food they serve and you can trust their reviews. Fantastic service, fantastic food. Now I recommend for you to try the same! If you are looking for a nice little place to stop for a bagel breakfast look no further. The bagels themselves are good, but every single time my husband and I have been here, we've had to have our bagels remade. We are both Muslims and cannot eat bacon. Every time, we order our bagels without bacon. And literally every single time, they get made with bacon. It's honestly kind of funny at this point. We picked up some to-go breakfast sandwiches and bagels for breakfast and traveling a few miles with them they stayed warm! It was the perfect combination of bagel to sandwich, I tried the southwestern and it was packed with flavor as well as tong of veggies. The sauce on it was a little messy but finger licking good. My husband ordered the salmon sandwich, and he was pleasantly surprised, and it satisfies his craving for bagels. Let me just start with... the bagel sandwiches here look delish! That's what attracted my eye to this place. I walked in and felt a little unwanted but continued to proceed forward. I noticed the menu didn't have any GF options, but a hash brown egg muffin (which potentially may have been GF friendly) so I asked the worker if they had any GF options. I was told no... and not in the best way. So I ended up walking out and not even getting to try the hash brown egg muffin. My review is bias since I didn't have the greatest customer service experience, but I'm sure the food is great. They have been in business for over 20 years so they are doing something right. If they get a GF bagel, I would be willing to try this place! read more

Employees are too busy gabbing behind the counter to pay attention to customers, lady taking orders seems like she really doesn't want to be there, the garden veggie shmear had the ingredients of good garden veggie shmear but they were clearly dehydrated and just mixed into plain cream cheese recently. The pastrami and egg sandwich was decent, but our order was still incorrect and quite slow to reach us considering the way in which it was incorrect. After a bad experience at the other location in Omaha, I decided to give the 114th St location a chance, and a second chance for Brueggers. It was quite the exact opposite of what I experienced the other day. When I walked in, again, there was a counter person making someones bagel, but looked up at me this time with a smile on her face and told me she'd be right with me as soon as she was done. Talk about awesome!! I'm big on customer service, and this lady made my day with her positive attitude. I tried the other guys, and Brueggers truly does have the biggest best bagels in Omaha. It will be a little more of a drive for me, but well worth it from a customer service standpoint. I will start by saying the Bruegger's is where my now husband and I had our first date so it will always hold a special place in my heart. The bagels here are made fresh daily and are so delicious! The service is always speedy and friendly! There's something for everyone whether it's a breakfast sandwich you're craving, a savory bagel with cream cheese, a delicious sandwich for lunch or a hearty salad. I love all the different bagel and cream cheese choices. However, I do wish they had more options for coffee. I tried their primo pesto chicken panini...it was totally drenched in fat that the bread got soggy quick...I ended up picking out the bread and just ate the chicken with the red peppers....the chicken itself was nice and juicy though. I don't get it. I constantly tell my wife to find a new bagels place as there are so many places better than Bruegger's. Instead, she continues to support Bruegger's and I end up having to continue going there week after week. Not once have I ever gone in to Bruegger's and had them have everything I wanted (this is just like 2 different types of bagels, not like we have some huge order) and/or have enough staff working so that I'm not there for 3minutes or longer. Seriously, every single time I have gone there the wait has been 20 minutes or more (being generous here) and they have ALWAYS been out of something. I've gone at all times in the morning and on different days but this is always what happens. I feel like I'm taking crazy pills with the fact that the wife continues to want to go here, knowing exactly what is going to happen. This is my first ever Yelp review and I never thought I'd make one but I truly despise Bruegger's Bagels. I never thought a bagel place would be my number one enemy in life but here we are. UPDATE: Despite me continuing to try to persuade my wife to go to other places, she has still remained loyal to bruegger's for some absurd reason that I'll never be able to understand. That may change though finally today after she waited in line for over 30 minutes and then found out they were literally out of plain bagels and strawberry cream cheese at 10:00 AM. Seriously. No plain bagels and strawberry cream cheese at 10:00 AM. I am hopeful that now that she has gone through this ridiculousness herself that she will finally join me in going to any of the other numerous spots to get bagels in town instead of one that has a 100% success rate of screwing up in some way or form.
