Having lived in Chicago for a couple of years and knowing what a good Chicago beef sandwich tastes like, I was a bit skeptical seeing an Italian beef on the menu, but I figured I'd give it a shot. I'm sure glad I did, because outside of Chicago, Pickleman's is one of the best Italian beef sandwiches I've had. The beef is tender and juicy, and the peppers add a nice bit of flavor. Stopped in for lunch and ordered: Turkey sandwich: average, tasted fine Walnut Cran Salad: comes with a full boiled egg which was cool for the additional protein, my salad maker really packed on the toppings so I was very happy Lentil Chili Soup: served hot and had plenty of lentils, very filling and wasn't bland Super solid, basic cold and hot sandwiches, soups, and salads at an affordable price point. Picklemans is our go-to meal when were feeling lazy and don't want to cook. My wife really does not like sandwiches. Like she really hates them, but their BBQ chicken sandwich is her favorite. Their salads are also always good and their pizza is REALLY good. I always get the Italian club. Always. Minus onions, tomatos, lettuce. Add spinach, mustard, banana peppers, olives, pickles. I just can't get myself to try something else. It's the best sandwich ever. and their soup, is on point. I like the lentil chili or the Baja chicken soup. These people have amazing customer service. My phone number for misheard through an over the phone delivery. After about 40 minutes we called back cause they always deliver in about 20 mins or less! Turns out they came to our apartment but couldn't reach us. Went back and remade it just Incase we called. Stopped into Pickleman's for lunch one day while in town, and it was definitely a good portion for lunch with a side of chips. I ended up ordering the chipotle ranch sandwich which had the sauce on top of chicken with provolone cheese and lettuce. Their chipotle ranch was really good and I loved adding some of their spicy pickle chips onto the sandwich to add a bit of crunch to the sandwich. Overall, I thought that it was a solid sandwich though it was on the smaller side for a sandwich. I love Picklemans, so was very excited when one was to open in midtown. No more trekking to downtown for my sandwich fix. The oven baked sandwiches or flatbread pizzas are always delicious. The new location in midtown is still super super clean, well lit and smack dad in the middle of the midtown area. Midtown is definitely a great location for Pickleman's. The inside is very clean and spacious. I went with the flatbread pizza this time and it was made to perfection. The chicken giardiniera might be too spicy for non-spice lovers but definitely a great one to try. The size of the pizza is pretty big, definitely shareable (or for one to devour if they're hungry enough!). Will definitely be back! read more

Definitely a decent change from the regular sandwich joints like Subway or JJ. BUT It is still a chain (franchise) so there's not a lot of personality that makes it "Omaha"...the reward points system needs work to make it worth actually doing. they deliver tho, so there's that. read more

Service seriously lacking, to the point of rude. I was there with 3 others. I was the first to order. I ordered a salad, the others ordered sandwiches. Their sandwiches were made and paid for . . . no salad. Eight more people came in, ordered sandwiches and pizza, got their food. No salad for me. Every time I asked I was told "she's making it". While waiting I noted 2 of the 3 employees chatting while one was on her phone. Another customer also ordered a salad so they finally started to make them. She got her salad, mine was set back on the counter - while I stood there waiting. Again I asked for it. By the time I got to the table my companions were half way thru their meal. My favorite sandwich place in Omaha!! The 'Pick 2' combos are my go-to. Get half a sandwich with a salad or soup. You won't go wrong with the BLT Club and Southwest salad. Rich flavor and fair portion sizes. They even sell small pizzas. The place is clean but get very crowded during lunch- the line is sometimes out the door and ordering can get disorganized. read more

The food is pretty decent here but I do have one major complaint. The staff needs to get its act together. I live directly across the street so once in a while I want to grab a bite late night. They supposedly close at 10 PM. However, if I show up there at 9:45 PM to grab a sandwich, the girl tells me she is unable to make a sandwich for me because she already put everything away! What??. I thought you closed at 10 PM it's only 9:45 PM. I think the owner needs to have a chat with his staff and make sure they know what hours they are really open! Disappointed. Ordered hot beef sandwich. The wheat bread was doey. Not fully baked. Not sure. I told the employee. He offered to remake a HALF sandwich on white bread. NOT A FULL. A HALF.
