It has such a calm vibe with plenty of seating inside and some outdoors as well. I loved that they offer seasonal drinks alongside their classics and food options. We opted for a cortado, a vanilla lavender matcha, and a chicken chorizo breakfast burrito. Everything tasted delicious and was served fast. We sat for around an hour working on our laptops and weren't interrupted. There were people chatting as well, so it's a great space to do both. I absolutely loved the fact that you can get other drinks too, since they have a large selection of wines and seltzers. Everyone we talked with was super sweet--I can't wait to visit again!

Prior to going here I looked up their menu on their website and IG trying to decide what I wanted to order. I decided on the ube vanilla latte but they did not have that on their menu as it's on the fall menu that drops in a week or so from now. I felt like there was quite a bit of false advertising going on. However, I did order a vanilla latte and it was really good! It tasted like a vanilla ice cream cone!

Last year, I had a sandwich in Spain that I haven't been able to stop thinking about. I've tried several places around Charlotte looking for something similar, but nothing came close. I reached out to The Culture Shop to see if they'd be willing to recreate it, and not only did they say yes, they turned it into their weekly special using local honey, locally sourced peppers, and local bread. The result completely exceeded my expectations. It captured everything I loved about the original while adding its own Charlotte twist. It was honestly one of the best sandwiches I've had. Beyond the food, the team is incredibly kind, welcoming, and excited about what they do. The shop itself is worth browsing too, with a menu full of creative sandwiches and delicious options, plus a thoughtfully curated selection of pantry items and specialty foods. It's rare to find a business that's this passionate, creative, and willing to go the extra mile for a customer. I'll definitely be back, and I can't recommend The Culture Shop enough!

A large menu overhead explains all the options and the women at the front counter was super nice. They were busy for a Sunday afternoon but once everything came out it was steaming hot and delicious. The hand crafted sauces are hearty and the salads are bright and full of surprising combinations like pistachio and mint on the squash salad. So good! We love picking out fresh pasta as well as the ready to heat dinners. We've tried maybe 10% of their total offerings so far and it already has led to 3 or more phenomenal and easy family dinners. Every time we walk in, we're greeted by smiling workers who are happy to answer any questions we may have. They are also so kind to our small daughter, who lives for the bread samples. We love that they repurposed a house rather than building another mini shopping center. And our daughter of course loves the warm pink interior. We will be picking up easy family dinners from here for years to come!

I was impressed by the selection of fresh and frozen pastas, sauces, gelato and other dishes. After a lot of deliberation I decided to grab a few things to make this weekend/next week. Haven't tried them yet but am sure they will be delish. The space is also adorable - gorgeous design and very cozy. Lots of wines and dry goods to choose from in addition to the fresh and frozen sections as well! So excited to come back and try more of their amazing looking prepared foods!

One was a small side Caesar salad which I got. I was disappointed in the continuing practice for restaurants to charge for small changes like this within informing the customer. Waitress was very nice, however and attentive. What is also quite unique about the restaurant was that you could order small 4 oz beers, just for tasting at $2-3 each. The place is quite large and must get incredibly noisy at times with the hard surfaces and multiple TVs. There is an option to sit directly at the bar or at tables.

The wings were AMAZING, and the sliders were absolutely delicious! They were so good that I devoured them before I even thought to take a picture! Unfortunately, the pierogies were the one disappointment, especially since they were actually the main reason I decided to order from here. They were a bit too greasy for my taste. After eating two, I ended up placing the rest on a paper towel to absorb some of the excess oil, which unfortunately made them less enjoyable. That being said, I would definitely eat at The Degenerate again. I'd happily order the wings and sliders again, but I would probably skip the pierogies next time unless they're one of those dishes that are simply better enjoyed fresh at the restaurant rather than as takeout. Overall, there were definitely more hits than misses, and those sliders and wings alone are worth another visit!
