Very good cafe. I got the nacho scrambler and it was very good. The portions are huge and the quality very good. LOVE the coffee; many of these cafes have terrible coffee but there's is really good. My wife got the chocolate bacon pancakes: really liked them but wish the bacon was in the batter. My MIL loved her meal: sweet potato tots and apple pieces. Our son ordered breakfast sliders but did not like them (they looked good) and they graciously took it off our bill. Overall, really liked it and plan to come back. I met a friend for lunch at the Brunch Cafe in Huntley. I was curious how the two locations would be different and the same. The menu in Huntley has a specific dish just for that restaurant called the 47, because the restaurant is on Highway 47. I would say that this one was a lot bigger and busier during the daytime. The Huntley location works off an iPad as you come in and the staff is handling a higher volume of customers. The menu is great and the wait people take care of you in both locations. For a more intimate location I prefer the St Charles location. For meetings in Huntley I will definitely return. read more

Surprisingly good for a classic brunch place. I love the wide variety of options they allow for sides. In addition, the staff is so friendly and the food is really good. The chocolate bacon pancakes could've done with a bit less chocolate honestly. They were a bit cloying. Regardless, we really enjoyed our time. Got several omelettes and skillets but the standout for me was the south beach scramble. I substituted Monterrey jack cheese for feta and it was what dreams are made of. This was a very interesting place to visit. I met a colleague here for a late breakfast/early lunch around 10:30 on a nondescript weekday and the place was PACKED! Like packed as in we had to wait 10 minutes for a table. As soon as we walked in, a hostess approached us with a tablet, took our name and told us what the wait was. I felt like I was trying to get into a nightclub in LV. We decided to wait it out. The restaurant inside is very open..not very warm, but new and nice nonetheless. The customers were widely senior citizens. We were promptly waited on by a very nice server. My colleague ordered an omelet and I ordered the rueben. The food came out very quickly, and the omelet was HUGE - it had to be at least 8 eggs. My rueben was average sized. I have to say, both of our dishes were really good. In fact we both pretty much cleared our plates. The food is very good, the experience was kind of weird, but my guess is if we are ever out that way again, we will stop in. read more

Food's really good, but not nearly as good as Burnt Toast. The wait staff, however, rocks. There is one African American woman who I absolutely adore. She's friendly, efficient, always on top of our water/coffee situation. I always give her huge tips. The coffee could use a boost, because it's like hot brown water. This was probably one of the fastest breakfast joints I've been to. There was a little bit of a wait, but as you can see from my picture they were very responsive to our worry of the wait. Once we were seated our server Andy responded diligently to my need for coffee and never let my cup go dry...well played, sir. The food was top notch! Soooo much to eat! I did however ask for grits, they don't have them??? Instantaneous heart break. Our server Andy brought me back in with these potatoes I've never heard of called brunch potatoes...fabulous. I have been their many times and about 25% of the time they cannot deliver the order as requested. Simple things like egg whites cooked and not runny; eggs not burnt, cheese melted in meals and not stuffed in the meal cold; meals delivered w/o the ingredients asked for. The manager has no control over his kitchen and does not remedy the problems, but yet tells the waitress that I complain every time. That is a lie. I do however expect my meal to arrive as ordered. So manager Yani, for telling the waitress that we complain every time, I say this: Fix your in house problems, stop being two faced, and you will go far. Your in the service business so provide what the people ask for and stop making excuses. We pay way too high prices to be treated like this, and for telling the waitress we always complain, you win the Horse's Ass award for the year! read more

Something that really annoys me is when restaurants knowingly serve subpar food. I ordered the blueberry bliss pancakes and it looked fine. After taking a few bites I noticed a burnt flavor so I turned the top pancake over and it was dark brown and hard. The second one, too. And the third. So they overcooked all 3 pancakes on one side and made sure to plate it with the good sides on top hoping the customer wouldn't notice. read more

Always great food! Seem to retain a lot of their wait staff, that's always good. It's not a diner. If your want a $3.99 special, Denny's is a few miles down. You get what you pay for. They are not overpriced, but quality isn't cheap. BRUNCH CAFE has simple, typical food, but their menu goes above expectations with some dishes that are outside the box, yet unbelievably good. Check out the different waffle plates or various French toast ideas they came up with. If your watching your weight or nit-pick a menu for light food.... stay home. If you decide to go on a Saturday or Sunday morning between 9-12..... you are going to wait for a table. I know, I know, how dare they be so busy! The nerve. You are probably such an important person that you should be sat right away.... ha ha, no, you will wait. It GETS BUSY!! So, go earlier. Here's something most people don't know and many places won't admit.... when you're on a wait there, and see multiple tables open and ready, but they are not seating them just yet... there's a reason! Your server probably has a full section, or just got double sat (2 tables back to back) if they sit you there, at that time, you now triple seat the server. The attentiveness they will give you then will be minimal at best, because they are not crazy busy. Also, that puts mass orders from multiple servers into the kitchen in a small time frame. This causes delays on your food or mistakes because the cooks are now running around crazy. So sit back, enjoy who you're with, drink their great coffee and stop being in a hurry.
