I had my first facial at this new spa affiliated with A Do Hair Salon. I saw Danelle today. After Danelle examined my skin, she recommended an anti-aging facial that she had on special for Thanksgiving. Not only was the facial one of the BEST that I've received since moving from Northern California to Indianapolis in 2010, but Danelle also included a fabulous neck and shoulder massage...not a quick 5 minute massage either...I left there feeling relaxed and rejuvenated. The room was comfortable, the products she used smelled so good that I was craving a smoothie, and the music she played was soothing without being typical spa flute music. An extra bonus is that the spa is about a mile from my home in Broad Ripple and I was able to walk to and from the spa and enjoy the fall weather. I will be back...you can count on it!

I've had perfect skin up until a year ago, but now it's a disaster. On top of skin that's starting to show a little bit of age, I've got acne scars and a new break out daily. They fit me right in when I needed and even when I showed up early, I still didn't have to wait. On top of that, the receptionist was extremely friendly, which to me, is a huge deal. I made a impromptu decision to go ahead and get an express facial, because that's all I had time for, and it was absolutely amazing. Complete with a neck massage, my first facial was a dream come true. Danelle gave me some advice on what my skin needs, and recommended a renew serum for my skin, which they carried in their salon. Of course, I bought it. I'm planning on getting a facial every 2-3 months until I can tame this mess on my face, and I will continue to go to Danelle every time! I had two massages at another spa in Indianapolis and still was in constant pain. A friend recommended this location and I'm so glad she did! I live in broadripple but had never come across this spa. I was able to schedule a sports massage for the following afternoon. I let the masseuse know about the pain I was experiencing and she made sure I was open to cupping which allows the blood to flow more to the area. I was open to anything as long as it provided relief. During the massage she could tell how the muscles in the right side of my back were swollen and apparently I was a little tight on the left as well. I felt instant relief after the massage and finally had a full nights sleep since the pain began. She worked wonders and this will now be my spa of choice! Looking forward to booking my next massage! They have a shared parking lot in front with at least four designated spots for their guests.

For me - no question - it's a good facial. It's both pampering and rejuvenating, plus it serves a purpose; god knows the beating our skin takes during those cold and windy winter months. My ideal facialist is both an artist and a scientist. They know how to pamper and channel tranquility. They also know how to get those pores clear. The Europa Day Spa meets the challenge. It's located just across the street from Napolese on the corner of 49th and Pennsylvania - a nice neighborhood spot. Walk in and you'll notice the super relaxing Zen vibe right away. It has a white drapey interior with bubbling water fountains, but doesn't go overboard. I was given a facial by Sandra, who owns the spa. She is warm and focused. She offered me tea (from Hubbard & Cravens which is HQed in the neighborhood) and made sure I was comfortable, positioned a pillow under my knees. Then she got to work. Anyone who's had a deep facial knows the true test of a good facialist is their technique with extractions. This is where they actually clean your pores one by one, and it's never comfortable. At worst it's as painful as a bikini wax. Enough said. Sandra's extraction technique was very respectable. She was quick and gentle. The facial also included an eyebrow wax - she's good at that too. And the whole facial was $75 - very reasonably priced. I'll be back the next time I need a little pampering - or when the seasons change again (whichever comes first).
