This used to be my favorite garage... My truck broke down and I had it towed to the shop. I called ahead to make sure it was ok and schedule it to be seen. I asked them to call me before doing any work and to let me know what they found. I mentioned that the truck had been acting funny electrically, maybe a grounding issue and may have something to do with why it abruptly stopped running. They told me it was scheduled for that Friday. I called later that day and they said they hadn't looked at it. When I called on Monday, they didn't look at it again and I assumed they were busy and gave them a pass. Well, a few more days had passed, now Thursday, so I called in and asked about the truck. Their response was that they could figure out what was wrong. The said, "We couldn't get gas but got that figured out but now there was no spark." Then proceeded to say that the mechanic wasn't there and they couldn't give me any more details. I called on Friday because they hadn't called me back. They said they hadn't looked at it. So I called again on the next Monday they said they'd have the mechanic call me back. They left a message. Here's what they said,""Hello this is Jeff from brunnerville garage calling to talk about the dodge ram truck I tested it out first and it didn't have any fuel pressure so I put in a fuel pump, replaced a fuel tank strap, and a brake line, now after testing and can't get spark we think it's the computer. After looking at all the repairs, you're looking pretty close to $1400 so give me a direction of what direction you would like to go here a telephone number here is 717-626-2861 thank you bye..." They never asked if I wanted any of this work done. Nor did they call me at all to tell me what was wrong until they already did $800 worth of work to my truck that I never asked them to do. Lastly, the most important part is that they said my computer was shot and that would cost another $600. So... if you aren't familiar with a car computer, the car computer tells the car to make the fuel pump run and for the spark plugs to work. So if the computer is bad those things won't work along with other components. Yes, they put in a new gas pump that cost $400 and $300 in labor when I'm positive that the fuel pump was totally fine. Did they even try to be respectful for their mistake and offer some decency of price reduction for trying to hustle me? No. So, I paid over $800 in parts and labor I did not approve and towed my truck to my house. Should I have paid? Interestingly, when I got my truck home, there was no oil and no coolant in my truck. Also, my battery was drained I can only imagine from them trying to start my truck a million times. I will never go back to this garage where they try to hustle the people they think don't know anything about cars. Don't use this garage!! They are not good people. read more

I had my gf drop my car off at Brunnerville Garage and I was fearing the worst as my brakes had been making a horrible noise. Totally expecting a bill into the 5-600 range. Within no time they looked it over, diagnosed that it just needed new pads, ordered the parts and had it fixed. Quick service, very knowledgable, and did not try to sell me things I did not need. They even gave me a heads up on a possible issue in the future without pressuring me to fix/replace it now. Good auto repair places are hard to find. Here's one. read more

Do not bring your vehicle here! If I could rate them negative stars, I would. These "men" took advantage of me. I want to first say I had no choice but to bring my vehicle here. I had a tube step bracket fail, that resulted in it falling off while driving. I pulled over and thank god I had bungee cords to keep in in place till I got somewhere I could pull off. I had no tools to take the whole thing off so I rigged it till it could get to the nearest garage. I pulled into this place and walked in the front store and told the lady what happened. She told me to just go into the bays and talk to one of the mechanics. I did. They were just standing around, not working on a thing. I stood there, they saw me, and they ignored me. I am a 38 year old woman; 5'2". Finally I got someone to talk to me and explained my plight. One of them just gave me 2 tools to try to get it off myself. Sure, I'll try it. Of course I could not, so I went back in to say I wasn't strong enough to get the bolts off. With much apparent annoyance by one, they agreed to come and look at it. The guy was so annoyed, I was wasting his precious time, he barely tried to help me. He said pull it into the bay and he'll get it off. 10 min later he says I'll take both of the tubes off . Fine. 15 min after, they unscrewed 4 bolts and threw the tube steps in the bed of my truck and charged me $22! If I was a man or a super model, maybe I would have had better service. I was wasting their "time" They were all standing around doing nothing when I walked in with my emergency. They actually turned around to look at me and turned back around like I was nobody! I was treated so badly. All I needed was help in an emergency situation, and they treated me like I was wasting they're time. They were doing nothing when I walked in. Some great service? These guys are the most laziest and incompetent mechanics I have ever come across! They should be ashamed!!!! DO NOT EVER LET THESE IDIOTS TOUCH YOUR VEHICLE, EVER!
