My car broke down just as I was pulling off the PA Turnpike off of Exit 266 in Manheim, PA. Luckily I called Wolfe's Auto Service. My car barely made it to his shop. Jerry was great. He took my car in right away then drove me to my meeting that was down the road at a local hotel. By the time my meeting was over my car was already fixed and ready to go. I was fearful of a very expensive bill but Jerry was as honest as the day is long and it only cost me a small amount to get it fixed. I was very pleased with Wolfe's Auto Service and I would highly recommend using them if you are anywhere near Manheim, PA or Lebanon, PA. Well worth it. Great guys, great service. We experienced car trouble on our trip and found Wolfe's listed as the nearest service to our location. We were greeted by a friendly man who listened to our plight and told us he would be able to identify the problem with the diagnostics unit when one of the bays cleared. Within 15 minutes, he had our problem identified, had called the NAPA supplier, and ordered the parts. We were on our way within 1-1/2 hours of finding Wolfe's and were able to complete our trip without any further problem. While traveling on a road trip from Philadelphia to Detroit for a wedding, we had a flat tire. We changed it on the side of the Turnpike, and drove on our "donut" to find a place to patch it up. Enter Wolfe's Auto Service. The gentleman there checked the flat tire, and informed us that it had been shredded and could not be patched. We would need a new tire. Also, we drive an old Volvo, so the size tire we need is a bit rare. As luck would have it, the gentleman said he could order the tire and have it there in an hour. This is not exactly "good" news on a 10 hour road trip which you are only 2 hours into. The price of the new tire? $125. Holy smokes! I called around, but everything was closed, didn't have that size tire either, or was too far away to drive on a donut. So, we were stuck. The guy said that's what it costs for quality, and that he could maybe sell us something cheaper, but he likes to treat all his customers as if he might see them again, and not pass off something cheap and fast. Oh well, sounds good. One hour and we were on our way. Great! Back in Philly, we started looking for a new second tire to match the one we had bought. Apparently, it should not only be the same size, but also the same brand. That's how I realized that Mr. Wolfe Auto Service dude's "quality" tire cost $50-$60 everywhere else. What a sinking feeling to know you've been had. It is, however, a small consolation to know that we can warn others. read more
