I have been to this location a few times ~ and every time my experience has been amazing!! The staff is excellent and always keeps me informed about the status of my vehicle. The waiting area is spotless and tidy. One time I had an emergency and had to reschedule on short notice but to them it seemed like no big deal and wished me well. Incredible!! Very dependable, very knowledgeable, fast, their service desk service is beyond compare. The folks at the front desk really knows their stuff and goes above and beyond to be helpful. I had four tires put on, they have an excellent service package that goes along with that, rotations etc every oil change. Oil change price very reasonable. There were some minor repairs that they could have done but really didn't need to be done NOW, so they let me know that it needs to be taken care of sometime in the future without any sales pressure. On occasion when they need to order tires, they arrive in just a couple of days. When I've stopped to address soft tires, rotation issues, or other issues, they get me right in. Bought tires for 2 vehicles and was told their "complementry" alignment show both needing alignment. They had the color graphs to document the "out-of-alignment" status. It seemed fishy especially since the manager seemed disapointed that I wanted the dealer to look at. What he didn't know both vehicles are maintained to the mfg service and alignment checked each time its serviced with no issues. This happened at the Orwigsburg location. I had 4 new tires mounted and balanced. I also had an oil change and the alignment checked. The tech came out and showed me the report. Everything was good to go. my Mom swears cjs has the best service but every time I go I end up having to go back not to late after because something else is wrong. Not only that they say they can't clear codes so my check engine light is still on from after I got it fixed. And a little story, my girl friend and I took her car to get fixed for an oil issue. A few days later (1-2) her check engine light came on and we called them back and someone had told us it was normal for the check engine to come on after that maintenance and now (1-2 months later) her car is having serious issues and I'm getting it checked out tomorrow. it's randomly accelerating and decelerating. What the fuck. Now Im not Saying it was 100% planned but i almost have a gut feeling they knew it would happen so we had to take it back. But again I can't be positive obviously. read more

***Update - My transmission completely failed this morning, about 40 miles from home. CJ's refunded me $480, but I am still out over $1,000, and will need a tow and a new/rebuilt transmission*** I will start by saying that I have been a longtime customer of CJ's Tire and Automotive in Lititz. I took my 2008 and 2013 Civics to them for oil changes, tire rotations and anything else they recommend. For a simple oil change and tire rotation, they are great. However, if you're taking your vehicle there for anything beyond that, I would strongly urge you to look elsewhere. I recently took my 2013 Honda Civic in because it was shuddering badly. They mentioned up front that if it was engine-related they could help me out, but if it was transmission-related that I would need to take it to a transmission shop (completely ok with this). They had me bring it in on 4/6/2023 to see if It was a repair that they would be able to tackle. I got a call that day, and they diagnosed it as needing new ignition coils and spark plugs and said that it's a repair they do often. I had them do the work, then went in to pick my car up later in the day, thrilled that they were able to do the work, and that it wasn't the transmission. The replacement of the coils, spark plugs and labor, set me back $870.78. Upon paying my bill, and making the 1.5-mile drive home, I noticed my car shuddering badly, doing the exact same thing as before the repair - misdiagnosed problem. I called the shop and they had me bring it back in. Luckily, there was still a technician in the shop, wrapping up his day. He jumped in with me and had me take him for a ride to see if we could replicate the problem while he was with me. No more than a half mile from the shop, the vehicle began shuddering badly, and he said "yep, that feels like transmission to me." They asked if I would be willing to leave my car with them for another day so that they could take another look, to which I said "sure" - I just wanted to get the problem resolved. Around 2 PM the next day, 4/7/2023, I get a call with a new diagnosis. They mentioned that a part failed, and that the failed part caused the engine coolant to mix with the transmission fluid. I'm not a mechanic or very mechanical for that matter, but I think they said it was the transmission oil cooler. The thought was that if they replaced that part and flushed and refilled the transmission fluid that it might correct the problem. Shawn called around to see if he could find a used part to save some money, and he couldn't, so they had to order an OEM part (not a big deal). The estimated time on the part was 3-5 days, and that's about what it took, as I did not get my car back until the following Friday, 4/14/2023. So, to "save me money," they pulled the recently replaced engine coils out and put the old ones back in (who does this?) but left the spark plugs. I picked the vehicle up around lunchtime yesterday, and it was still shuddering on my drive home, albeit not quite as bad as before. This time, it was an additional $667.45 out the door, in addition to the $870.78 that I had paid the week prior - so $1,538.23 all-in. I did end up talking to Shawn on the phone regarding the bill and the fact that the vehicle is still shuddering, He said that it could take time for the new fluid to work its way through and that things may settle down over time. I told him that I would be back and forth to Harrisburg next week for work and that should give me a pretty good idea. Turns out, I don't need to wait that long - I've been out and about quite a bit since then, racking up about 75 miles, and the vehicle is no better than when I initially dropped it off. It is still shuddering badly and feels like the transmission is going to fall out onto the ground. I am beyond displeased with the way that CJs handled this situation. If this was a job that they couldn't handle, they should have never taken it on. I am now out over $1,500 and will need to take my vehicle to a transmission shop, or a mechanic that is able to work on Honda transmissions. This will be thousands of dollars on top of what I already spent with CJs to not fix my problem. I work in an industry where I deal with customers daily, and I value the customer experience over anything else - CJs obviously does not. I'm a person that learns from my mistakes, and using CJs for anything is a mistake that I will never make again, not even for tires or a simple oil change. A large part of customer service is word of mouth, and up until now, I highly recommended CJs to my friends, family, and colleagues at work. It will be quite the opposite now when I converse with anyone about your shop. You have lost a customer and reference for life. read more

I have gone to C J Tre many times both Lititz and Mechanicsburg and never had an issue. I took my Dodge Caliber to Lititz for an oil change and had my tires rotated. A few weeks later i took my car on a trip to NC and there was a vibration on my car and loud sound while on the highway. Before i could get it checked out my tire came off my car and i had to spend money getting that fixed. Turned out it was loose lug nuts and when the mechanic checked the other lug nuts they were a bit lose. I now have damage to my car which insurance company says is lower than my deductible. Not sure i will ever take my car back to them. They may have the best prices but apparently not the best service anymore. I gave 2 stars because the guy at the desk was friendly but not happy about the damage to my car read more

Dropped my car off for some major work specified by mfg which included numerous fluid flushes plus resetting timing belt replace the water pump, etc. Their estimate compared with another local auto service facility was 20 -25% lower. This wasn't the good news though. I got a call from the mechanic working on my car who advised that he owned a car similar to mine and that in his opinion the timing belt looked fine. He also said the fluids all looked good. What kind of an operation suggests that you really don't need to spend money needlessly? Because of this experience I'll be using CJs of Lititz for all my future service needs. read more

Just moved to the area so I was looking for a good shop to bring my car to. This place was around the corner so I figured I'd give them a try despite the bad reviews. When I called they answered promptly and I was able to schedule an oil change for the next day. That's where my 2nd star comes from. Awesome that they could get me in the next day. But that's where the good stopped. They called me at 11am to ask if I wanted some extra services which I declined and then they said my car would be ready in 20 mins. I arrived at 12:25. It's now 12:50 and my car still isn't ready. It's here for an oil change which takes 20 mins so who knows why it's taking so long. Super annoyed. The whole point of dropping it off is so I don't have to sit in a dirty poorly ventilated waiting room. Will not be coming back. read more

This place has poor management, takes on way to many jobs for the day, dropped off my vehicle the night before to be serviced next day and they still could not manage to get it done in a timely manner. Store closes at 6pm waited there until 9pm for them to do inspection and alignment, save yourself the time and go somewhere else. read more

CJs was recommended by several people so we gave them a shot so we bought two sets of tires. 1. They recommended BF Goodrich Advantage for my 2008 Avalon which were problematic from the beginning (serious vibrations on highway) Numerous trips back there (8+) to get it rebalanced. After about a year and nothing fixed, they replaced a tire but i had to pay a pro-rated amount. Still having problems and they told me I needed an alignment which I got. Nothing fixed so I brought it back 3 months later, they told me i needed an alignment????? I told them they just did it so they told me to file a claim with BFG. I did and BFG told be I should have filed a claim when I first had the problem and they would have replaced the tires. Why didn't CJs tell me that to begin with??? Bought Hankooks for my wifes 2008 Odyssey. Having problems with them as well, a vibration/thudding on the highway. A handful of rebalances and guess what, they sold her an alignment!!!! Did the problem go away? Of course not. The guys are pleasant and appear to care, but at some point you just have to question their competence. I had BFG recommend another dealer, we'll see how that goes. read more
