I am a chocoholic, so every time I get the chance to go to a chocolateur or chocolate factory, I do not skip the chance. On this outing, I was able to visit Bruno Chocolates in Fort Pierce. The building stands out since it is a canary yellow with the moniker emblazoned across its storefront in black letters. Not hard to miss. Inside, it is a cozy chocolate shop that sells different kinds of chocolates, box chocolate sets, and even ice cream. Needless to say I was impressed by the selection. The center island seems to be where the bulk of their chocolate is located, or at least what seems to be the chocolate made in their factory which is also viewable through the glass window. I personally like white chocolate and was happy they had a nice selection of white chocolate covered foods and nuts, and pralines. Amazingly, they also show much love for people who need sugar-free substitutes and there is a section in the glass case set aside for them. Just like all chocolate places, it is relevantly smaller than the rest. The service was very nice and they did their job well helping out those who need help. Only "issue" if you want to call it as such is there is only one register. Ergo, if there are plenty of people and they all happen to check out, then you'll wait in line for sure. What a lovely stop at Bruno Chocolates! Walk in their cute yellow building with lots of curb appeal, open the door to the waft of sweet reward, and let the tasting begin! We enjoyed our visit with Tammy behind the counter, watching the two young ladies making/dipping the chocolates behind a window with a view of the inter workings, and finally a peek at Mr. Anderson in the back supervising :) I built a box of assorted chocolates: imaginative Pringles dipped confections, then some rich truffles, a few fruit filled, gotta have some nuts, throw in some caramels ~ I got them all!!! We discovered this place many years ago ,it's time to share .We last went in August and Tammy gave us excellent service and pointers ! The chocolates were delicious and btw Tammy loves children ! We took our 3 year old grandson , she was patient and helped him with his choices . The shop has many gift options not just candy . If you wanted to create a small gift basket , there are many things to choose from . A hidden jewel of home made chocolate candies and fudge ! Supporting local businesses is important to our family ! OMG! I live in Lexington, KY and my dad is in Lawnwood Regional Medical Center in Fort Pierce after his back surgery. I was trying to find someone to deliver some great chocolates to his hospital room. I looked on Bruno's website and it had great reviews but I couldn't find out if they delivered so I called on the phone. Darlene (the sweetest woman possibly in the entire world!), answered the phone and advised me that unfortunately they did not deliver. I asked her is she knew of any place that would deliver as my father was in the hospital. Darlene said "Which hospital is in?" I told her and It blew me away when she said "I will take it their for you but I don't get off until 2pm today!!" I could not believe that this sweet little lady volunteered to personally deliver chocolates to my dad herself!! Darlene completed my order of a Deluxe two pound box of chocolates and even helped me pick out a Get Well Soon card over the phone and wrote in the card what my husband and I wanted to say!! I tried to pay her for some sort of delivery fee but she refused and said they don't have a delivery fee because they don't deliver, lol!! Darlene said "I will be happy to take them to your dad, what room is he in?!! I told her his room number and she said, "I will have it to your dad by 2:30 today, is that okay?!! (ARE YOU KIDDING ME??) I asked if the owners were present and she said that they were not in the shop. I asked their names and she told me. I also told her that I was writing her a review on Yelp, that I never hardly do BTW. I asked her if she knew what Yelp was and she did not. I told her it was an online review sight and that I was going to write her an awesome review! She said, "Oh, thanks and laughed!" The BEST variety and flavor of chocolate covered treated you'll find ! I've had Peterbrooke, edible arrangements, store bought, and NOTHING compares. My husband and I recently moved away from Port Saint Lucie to north Florida and I have been craving this chocolatier since the day we left. Was pleasantly surprised when i walked in. Only went in to see the fudge. Ended up leaving with choc pb fudge and salted caramel fudge and a few truffles. The girl that was working was nice. Will def be back. Pricey but to be expected if you want good chocolate read more

I was cloaked in the sweet smell of warm chocolate when I walked through the door, given it was a few days before Valentine's Day, they were in full production mode! The staff was patient, knowledgeable and friendly and suggested the exact size box I would need to fulfill my craving for sweets. The product is good not great especially if you have even a little experience in confections. It's no different than those chocolate factory type tourist spots in every beach town. Good for a fix bot don't plan on discovering something unique. We have been in and only dealt with the (how do I put this) slender young lady and have always had a nice exchange with her. This review has to do with the other more robust and rude worker there.The one with the bad red dye job & disgusting make-up. I guess the combination of heat and the high glucose smell of chocolates gives her an acrimonious (noun. sharpness, harshness, or bitterness of nature.) disposition to put it mildly. The owners should consider more acutely who or what in this instance is the face representing all the hard work it takes to earn a new customer. I took my elderly Mother In Law there yesterday who cannot wear a mask because she is asthmatic, The fat girl was so mean & condescending to her as she demanded that she wear a mask...of course Fatso told us after we paid for $45 worth of very expensive chocolate; ruining our experience. Whelp, anyone who's lived here a while.....has known this place has been around for a bit! I haven't been in sooo many years, so while in the area, We decided to go in & check it out. Right off the bat, the lady said " NO PICTURES! " I tried to explain Yelp, which She had never heard of, but that the pictures would add a nice touch to the review, I said! Bahaha....I had already taken a few pics, but no since in posting. The chocolate just wasn't what I remembered from so many years ago! Now, it's probably the exact same chocolate! I've just discovered some incredible chocolate out there! There are some favorites that are absolutely incredible, so just wouldn't bother going there.....EVEN Whitman's is the same if not better! So, just don't see the need to go out of Your way for the same ole same ole, Will post some chocolates that I love when the names pop back in My head! Very cute place with nice and helpful girls working. We went through the whole display pointing out their more unique options like chocolate dipped potato chips, ginger, orange peels, etc. (unique to my families palette at least). The girls were very welcoming, helpful, and patient in giving their honest opinions of their favorites. I don't make it my lifestyle to eat chocolate, but if I find something I like; I'm more than likely going to frequent one place for it (in this case chocolate chips). Bruno's Chocolates is located almost in the middle of nowhere; as the only things that are near this area is a nature trail and gas stations. So if you are in this area, I'm sure you'll find something that is to your pleasing as they have various chocolates. I recently moved back area and since holidays I thought I would pop in and get some fudge and chocolates for gifts. The clock was exactly 5:22 tried to open door and locked the sign said open until 5:30, a lady approached and unlocked door and said "sorry sweetheart ( even though she was younger than me) I closed the register for the evening and come back tomorrow", I explained I work and thus thus is about best I can do, " sorry" she said again and locked the door, surprised they are still in business with an attitude like this. We stopped by Saturday to pick up some chocolates and the place is fantastic. The staff was beyond friendly and helpful, and the chocolate was by far the best we ever had. Granted, it is pricey, but you certainly get what you pay for. Could not recommend a place more. read more
