There is one large loop around the main lake, a smaller loop around another lake towards the back, and a trail off the main lake that meanders around the woods for awhile. I got in 3 miles and enjoyed every second of it. Lots of different scenery, birds, and several fishermen enjoying one of the first warm spring days. I will be back!

I came for the annual Trekking Through Autumn, but as a first time visitor I didn't know where the trails were located. Around the main lake path there a few mowed offshoots that don't seemingly go anywhere. Unless they did, but with no park map available it was difficult to tell. I tried to make the best of it. There is also a large overlook where you can sit & enjoy the view. However, the view was a bit frustrating as the entire pond had large amounts of trash surrounding the edges. You can fish here but it is strictly catch & release. Although, other than a large amount of dead snails & fish I'm not sure what you'll find. I realize the pond was low but this should make it all the more easier to maintain. There are at least two trails winding through the woods but it's difficult to tell which path you're on on where to go. The only signage marking the paths are random planks of badly weathered wood with dull red or blue paint. Some are broken and lying at the base of trees, others were attached to trunks but blended in with the bark. Perhaps new signs with bright colors would be more suitable for visitors. The trails are wide dirt paths with very few obstructions, however you might get stuck in the mud if it's damp out...I would not recommend these trails if you're in a wheelchair. Towards the back of the property is an ugly cookie cutter development- such an eye sore! And the trails are littered with broken benches but are very quiet & relaxing. There's even a neat old fireplace and a few pavilions with grills. It also offers a large playground and huge field. I think if the park was cleaned up a bit & things were fixed it would be one I would return to regularly.

My daughter and I went together, and it was such a relaxing and refreshing experience. We walked about a mile up to the hill and watched the moon come up, which honestly felt magical. There were lightning bugs all around us, almost like little fairies, and the whole setting felt peaceful and secluded. The group was small, which made it even nicer, and the park ranger leading the hike was so sweet and did a wonderful job. I wish I had gotten her name because she really made the experience feel welcoming and special. I loved the property, and we will definitely be back to hike there again. Such a beautiful park and such a memorable night.

They helped us get fitted with jackets and kayas. Offering singles and doubles. The lake was great to paddle on and much larger than it looks. There was this little girl with rosiest cheeks I've ever seen laughing as she walked with her family. She and her siblings were laughing and running with her siblings. This made me smile as I thought those are great parents taking their kids for w walk in this winter wonderland. It was in the 20's but it felt great. I'm so thankful for all of our parks in Ohio. The waterfall looks so pretty. The trails are not difficult to do. There are your slight inclines, with snow and ice it can be a little slippery just slow down or make sure you have proper footwear. People on the trail are pretty friendly and will say hello as they are walking by. You got this!!
