Had a good experience after dinner today at this Bruster's. This location is part of a not-so-busy strip mall, and is at the very end. Parking is always available in the free parking lot. Employees wear face masks, and customers are required to wear face masks. A barrier of plexiglass separates the employees from the customers at the order counter inside the store, but the same types of barriers are not installed on the half height wall separating the customers from the employees scooping the ice cream. Employees were quick and efficient, but weren't the welcoming types; no "Welcome to Bruster's," or "What can we get you?" or even a "Thank you!" Not even a smile. Just blank stares, and just standing there until lwe told them what we wanted. Tonight's orders were two scoops of nutty coconut and a scoop of double fudge brownie in a cup, and two scoops of mint chocolate chip and a scoop of chocolate chip. The ice cream orders were scooped up perfectly and paid for within two minutes. The ice cream flavors were good; my double fudge brownie ice cream has chunks of brownie in it, and the nutty coconut had big crunchy toasted coconut flakes in it. No other customers were inside the store, so we didn't have to stand in a line or even have to social distance. There aren't any tables or chairs inside this store, but there are tables outside on the side of the store where customers can enjoy their frozen treats in nice weather. As an option, there is an order window at the front of the store near the door, where customers can place orders if they choose not to walk into the store. There is a sign on the front door that states that the maximum number of customers allowed inside at any given time is 6. Bruster's periodically changes up its menu to include seasonal or holiday related desserts, and is currently featuring an eclair brownie and a strawberry shortcake sundae. If you have a dog as part of your household, this Bruster's location offers free doggie sundaes. read more

If I could give negative stars, I would. Let me paint you a picture: I walk into this "ice cream shop" (I use that term loosely because calling this place an ice cream shop is like calling a glacier a gelato stand), and I'm immediately hit with the soul-crushing realization that I've made a terrible, irreversible mistake.I ordered what was supposed to be a scoop of chocolate ice cream. What I got instead was a frozen, unchurned brick of dairy sadness. I tried to bite into it--big mistake. It was like gnawing on an ice cube that once heard about vanilla in a dream. Texture? Think gravel mixed with disappointment. I've had better consistency from frostbite. Flavor-wise? Imagine licking a freezer burn. That's it. That's the flavor profile. If flavor were a crime, this place would be serving life without parole. And the staff? Oh, bless their chilly little hearts--they looked about as excited to be there as someone getting audited at the DMV. I don't really know what was going on or if they have a system in place. Went in the evening about 45 minutes before closing time and there was a long line extending out the door. I've been to several other Bruster's and service was fast enough. It took us 20-25 minutes to get 2 small cups. The same people that were taking the orders would then go back and get your order. But there were other people working there. The system or way they were going about things just didn't make any sense. One of the employees looked like she was absolutely miserable being there...not sure what that was about but I'd say long term that will affect business and not in a good way as other customers were talking and picked up on it as well. And then we weren't even given a napkin. One other customer had to ask for a napkin. Thought it was something you got and not something you have to ask for especially being that icecream is sticky. Not sure that I'd go back again or recommend. read more

This place is absolutely the best ice cream joint around. All the ice cream is small batch artisanal made. There sundaes are out of this world. Hubby get the banana split & it is large & the toppings are fruity & full of flavor. I have had the strawberry shortcake sundae & it was fruity @ the sponge cake is fresh & springy! Also had the Turtle sundae & it was creamy, fudgey, w/caramel & tons of pecans! We had a hospitalization in the family that required us to be in ATL for a week & we stopped every night to get a sundae while we were there. Its employees are a bunch of H.S. kids but the are polite, responsive & make one helluva sundae! Highly recommend!!!! read more

The new owners are ruining the Brusters experience. We have been coming to this location for 20+ years and have been through several different owners. They instantly raised all their prices, the employees are miserable, you can see it on their faces, and now they're even skimping on doggie cones. Very very nice but needs some help. Their ice cream is amazing along with some of their workers. They have a nice eating space outside with benches and tables. I love to bring my dog to brusters because they offer free pup cups! The last time I went their, the service was not good. The person taking my order kept yawning in my face and overall was rude. If that's not enough he also you got my ice cream without gloves , and he touched the cone with his bare hands. We came here on a Friday night after dinner with a few friends. I've never had Brusters before and so I was taken back by the extensive menu. I ended up sampling a few flavours since there wasn't a huge line behind us. I tried coffee oreo, chocolate raspberry truffle, and s'mores. For $3.50, i got a small sugar cone of coffee oreo and was very pleased with the portion of ice cream i received. Brusters is located along a strip mall so there is plenty of parking. The seating inside is very limited but there is also a small courtyard/sitting area outside the store which would be nice on a sunny day. Considering it was Friday night and there wasn't a huge line, our service was great! I'll definitely come back if I'm in the area and craving ice cream. Great job! read more

She gave him mm and Oreo.. I got brownie mms and had peanut butter cups inside as well.. I am allergic to nuts and had a severe reaction last night. My throat is still scratchy and hard to breath. Update 10/3/2015 - 3 STARS Stopped by this Sandy Springs location for a cup of my 2 favorite flavors. The Graham Central Station was creamy and delicious but the Chocolate Turtle had ice crystals in it which was disappointing. Freezer burn degrades the taste of ice cream and is easy to prevent. The young girl that waited on me was almost nice. 7/8/2015 - 5 STARS Rich, Delicious Ice Cream. I especially love their Graham Central Station, Chocolate Turtle, Tin Lizzy, Key Lime Pie, and Sea Salt Caramel. The ice cream is good. But the portion sizes vary. Some visits, it is good. Some visits they are stingy as hell. I got a regular with only two scoops. Didnt feel like complaining. Just will come here less. The Dunwoody Brusters is better. And yes, sometimes the ice cream tastes like it is half melted which I dont mind too much, but it is worth mentioning for those who might mind. read more

Awful experience! The scoops are like the size of half a scoop. And the black cherry ice cream had maybe one cherry in the so called scoop. My daughters got to My scoops as well. Totaly rip off! THE WORST! It's a Friday night and the staff there can't seem to figure out what they are doing. Not paying attention to customers, talking to each other and messing up orders. There was only 1 couple ahead of us when we walked in and 2 employees. So this started out not busy. One of the girls kept her back turned away from the customers content to continue her chat with her coworker as the line began to grow and never seemed to care that there were other people around. At the point I left was when they called for help from another employee and then said to the customers "oh she's in the back talking to her boyfriend". The girl walked out looking completely confused and still took a good amount of time to figure out what was happening.
