Absolutely amazing! I tried Cold Stone Creamery for the first time ever last week, and was blown away by my experience. You get to pick an ice cream flavor, then pick one free topping mixed in, additional toppings cost extra. I got Cake Batter flavor with Oreo mixed in. It was phenomenal! The ice cream is expensive though, so I definitely think this place is for special occasions. The ice cream cone was also way to much ice cream for me so I may get a small cup next time. Cold Stone separates themselves from any other ice cream shop because they specialize in making the particular sundae that you desire right in front of you on a chilled stone (or something resembling stone) counter. The last time that I visited this particular location I received excellent service and had the pleasure of feasting upon the "Strawberry Banana Rendezvous," which had strawberry ice cream, white chocolate chips, strawberries and bananas. The only thing that I thought Cold Stone needed was a larger selection of ice cream. I see here that people complaining about coupons. The same happened to me a couple of times saying it was a mistake or the coupon has to be connected to an email - even with the address on the coupon! The young man working told me that they don't get to keep their tips and the owner has a camera on the box. How crappy is that? He was told that "he has to prove himself" to get a portion of the tips. Then he told me that there's always something off with his pay check. Employees don't punch in, the WRITE their hours. This gives the owner an opportunity to mess with the times. I am certain Stone Cold Creamery corporate has in their POS system a time clock feature. Me and my husband decided to go to that location after dinner to get some ice cream. I have a peanut allergy and I am well aware of all the risks. I have been to A LOT of cold stones and everyone has always been super helpful and nice . THESE ladies gave me the usual speech (I always get and know they have to legally do that) about cross contamination and I said yes that's fine. I then asked them if they could just do my one mix in a tub, instead of the actual stone and I got a look like I was asking them to love the earth and the stars. EVERY other Cold Stone has done it for me and actually taught me I could ask for that. I'm just tired of people not wanting to even TRY to do their job. Meh? Cold Stone could be such a badass place. In fact I kind of think was when they first came out. Taking your unique flavors of ice cream and rolling the toppings into it more evenly is pretty smart, though I do kind of get weird feelings watching them wrangle my belly batter with those metal tongs. Something disturbing about it, almost like watching them change an alien baby. The ice cream is rich, too, in a weird way. It seems like somehow they forced more milk into the product. Its Cold stone. What is there not to like. The staff are always high school students and the service is always good no matter what. The ice cream is always awesome as well. HA. The only reason they got 4 stars instead of 5 is because when I ask them to split one order into 2 cups for my young daughters I might as well be speaking another language to them. For the past 2 years this has been our son's favorite place on Earth. Every Friday (if he is good all week at school) he gets to go get a treat and of all the ice cream/cookie/yogurt/toy stores in East Cobb, this has been his choice for almost 100 consecutive weeks. Ms. Palomi and Ms. Ally have treated our son like family and have gone the extra mile week after week to make his Friday's special. The store is always clean, full of smiling faces and happy customers. They have seasonal desserts, fun flavor combinations and a great atmosphere. Our son already wants to work there when he turns 16 and I wish more places in East Cobb would make families feel the way this place does week after week. I love Cold Stone, but this location can leave a bit to be desired. I did order an ice cream cake from here once which turned out great, but the in-store service can be hit or miss. My friends and I came here on Saturday night. The door clearly says open noon-10pm on Friday and Saturday nights. We were told rather brusquely by an employee that the store closes at 9 but they would still serve us when we came in at 9:10pm and joined the line after a large group of teenage girls. Okay. The employees seemed to be getting angrier and angrier as more people were coming in until finally one of them stormed over to turn the open sign off with quite the dramatic flair. Our ice creams were all barely mixed. I'm talking just a chunk of yellow cake mix-in in the middle of the ice cream. Just a couple more seconds to massage the mix-in into the ice cream would have been much appreciated. The employee seemed to cop quite an attitude until eventually shooing customers out of the store and spraying the tables with cleanser before people could even stand up. She then locked the door and began feverishly rage-sweeping, turned the lights off then apparently decided she couldn't see well enough to sweep. It was an odd environment for a place that is famed to have employees sing for their tips. I come here to be happy and it was a little tense. They were also out of sweet cream ice cream -- probably should just lock the door at that point for sure. read more

I am extremely disappointed in the service that I received this evening at Cold Stone. There was no warm greeting. Instead, the 2 people working seemed to think of my presence as more of an annoyance. Due to the pandemic, it had been a while since patronizing the store. Instead of kindly asking me to order on the other side of the counter, the employee was very rude about my ordering at the cash register. ( I was the only one in the store). I simply forgot where to order. If I had been greeted properly, there would have not been any mistake about where to order. She was also extremely abrupt about telling me to stand behind the blue line that I did not initially see. I was behind the railing with my mask in place. I've always had a good experience with this Cold Stone. It was a very upsetting visit today for other reasons as well that I will not share in this review. My boyfriend ordered a strawberry ice cream with 3 toppings to go for me. He didn't monitor them making it and he didn't check it before he left...not that he should have to. When he got home I was so disappointed to find that there were only traces of the toppings that I ordered. Traces. Literally a dash cake CRUMBS (not pieces of cake as it should have been), 4 walnuts, and if there was caramel in the ice cream it was completely undetectable. It was such a ripoff as it was 95% ice cream and 5% toppings. I'm being generous with 5%. The best part is that I called to speak to a manager and would you believe that the manager actually argued with me telling me that it WAS correct and up to par. I order this particular mix religiously yet the manager told me that I was wrong and I didn't know what I was talking about. Inferior product. Horrible customer service. My wife and I ventured out in one of the first trips to a restaurant (if you can call Coldstone that) since the whole pandemic. Paid nearly $12.00 for two cups of ice cream. But the problem is they only tossed in a few walnuts and argued with me when I told them it needed more nuts. I honestly thought they made a mistake by not putting in enough walnuts but I was wrong. According to the lady I spoke with, they are only allowed to give me a small teaspoon of nuts. I have to say this: during this economic collapse we are going to shortly face, it's going to be extremely difficult for people to justify paying these exorbitant prices and not being satisfied with their purchase. I'm not a complainer and I don't like to make a scene, so I didn't make a fuss. But I hope this Coldstone goes out of business because their service is horrendous and their prices are a total ripoff. this location of cold stone isn't really my number one preference. they're located in the same shopping center as kroger that's off of lower roswell rd. and johnson ferry. it's in the tiny breakaway strip that's in front of kroger and right between the wine store & ted's montana grill. the staff seems to be all high school students. they seem to lean towards hiring more girls than guys. nonetheless, the staff here are cheery and friendly. service has been good for the few times I've been here. just know that the crowd here is mostly high school students (probably friends of the staff). there are times that the whole place is packed with groups of families and their kids running around. in the end, it's just the crowd that keeps me away. read more

In any case drive 14min to this location and was not disappointed! The ice cream is great but it seems like they have a scam going on. For the last 3 years they have been in the Entertainment coupon book yet every time you try to use it they say it's a mistake. Amazing how they get this great free advertising and foot traffic and are able to then refuse the offer that we essentially paid for. They actually said they've considered legal action against Entertainment for this terrible inconvenience. I should have just walked away from the order. I assume that would've cost them more than $2. Without a doubt best ice cream, definitely my favorite but this store in particular has the absolute worst staff out of all locations. I've had a bad experience once but decided to let it go, but a couple of days ago it happened again and yea, not gonna let it go this time. Once me and my sister stopped by and the line was HUMONGOUS so we decided to go to the fridge and grab one a ready one from the fridge with the birthday cakes and what not, so we could get going, so we got a couple of ice cream tubs and as we stood at the cashier, this lovely RUDE AS HECK employee told us we'd have to go all the way back in line TO PAY FOR THE ICE CREAM THAT WAS IN THE CONTAINER READY TO GO! How does that make any sense?! Even other customers looked at us shocked because that's the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. So we just put the ice cream back and went somewhere else, unfortunately I forgot to grab the gentleman's name. Okay cool, let that go, but just two days ago, me and my brother decided to grab ice cream, headed over, arrived at 8:56, yes a little close to closing time but still enough to make a little ice cream. As soon as I walk in the girl (Andrea) looks at me and says "I'm closed, it's 9:00 and the open sign is off" I quickly checked my phone and noticed it was NOT 9:00 and that the open sign was still ON, otherwise I wouldn't have walked in. I showed her the time on my phone, and pointed at the ON open sign, and she proceeds to walk from the counter all the way to the door to turn the sign OFF without even looking at my face....? Very rude, lazy and unprofessional, wouldn't take more than 5 minutes to prepare two little scoops. Very disappointed AGAIN.
