One of the few options for breakfast place is busy, decor is a bit outdated but very cute. Service is attentive and fast. Tried their baked goods and to ho breakfast sandwiches. All delicious and good selection of specialty lattes.

Very fast service with no wait on a Thursday morning. When I tried to eat there on my way home (the next Monday 10 am) the place was so busy I gave up. Food was amazing, and choice of special coffees. Only one choice of pastie (beef). I got a MINIrhubarb pie to go that was completely exceptionally yummy. The rhubarb was more finally chopped than I was used to, which made it fabulous. Good luck parking: the nearby motels don't seem to mind.

The food was fantastic- admittedly, it is hard to mess up breakfast. The prices were fair. Good service! The plates were huge. Very nice selection of baked goods and crafted coffees. Overall very clean. From out of town but would definitely stop here again.

The food was very good and fresh. I wish they had some smaller optioned meals. The bacon had a nice Smokey taste and the potatoes were really good. They had 4 different syrup options which added a nice touch. The service was good. They were very friendly to the locals and non locals. It was really cute in there and clean. The homemade donuts were great. They were so soft and had a fresh taste.

Not impressed at all, service was fine, but the breakfast was very bland. So many other places in St Ignace that I would recommend instead.

Corned beef hash seem like it was from a can and they put American cheese on a Benedict. Dry frozen potatoes. Coffee was decent I guess

Well lit with kitschy decor-a mix of colorful murals and teapots (teapots are for sale), and other items, like puzzles and cute boxes. Uneven floors add to its charm. Menus are cute newspapers, with "articles" about the place and area in case you're interested. Nice coffee options, like espresso, cappuccino, and lattes, though we elected to have just regular coffee. Served hot with free refills, and choice of half & half or flavored creamers on the table. I ordered the biscuits & gravy with eggs and hash browns, while my husband ordered the lobster Benedict. Food came out relatively quickly and we were both pretty happy with our orders. We ordered extra crispy hash browns and they were the only item that fell short, not being really extra crispy. But they were good enough considering how good the rest of the food was. Our sever came by several times to check on us and give us coffee warm ups. Really just a great experience overall. Sometimes tourist town restaurants miss the mark, but Java Joe's isn't one of those. We loved it and are looking forward to coming back!

But it turns out that you…read moreshouldn't judge a restaurant by its name, because Chuckwagon served us what was probably the best meal we had on Mackinac Island. And it was the cheapest, too! Blessed from all directions. A patty melt was on the menu, so that's what I got. I can't not get a patty melt if I see one on a menu! This one was beefy and melty, with caramelized red onions between two slices of rye bread. All of the burgers and sandwiches come with plain potato chips and a pickle spear. We also got a regular cheeseburger and bleu cheese burger. All of the burgers are served on a pretzel bun, which is not my favorite type of bun, but I wasn't eating those burgers, and the eaters didn't seem to mind. Chuckwagon has a small kids' menu (the Lil' Buckaroo's Menu), with four items on it. Your kids can choose from a pb & j sandwich, a hot dog, a grilled cheese sandwich and mac & cheese. My little buckaroo chose the mac & cheese, which I believe was Kraft mac & cheese. Kids' menu items don't come with anything additional. This is a small restaurant with limited seating. You can sit at the counter and watch the action happen, or if you're lucky, you can find one of the few tables lining the wall or located in the back of the restaurant. Either way, depending on when you visit, you might encounter a crowd! But I think it's worth it to visit this old-school diner-type restaurant.

Staff was very friendly and patient with the chaos in the store. The place is pretty big, and a little confusing with two separate lines, plenty of people and you still want to see what baked goods they have. And they do carry a huge selection of baked goods. We got a breakfast burrito, bagel with avocado and tomato (vegan), giant cinnamon roll, apple fritters, one regular coffee and iced matcha latte with oat milk. Total $35 plus they charge you for cc payment. Not cheap. The bagel was delicious, chewy and fresh, hubby enjoyed the burrito even if a little small for the price, , the apple fritter was too dry, not many apples were there. Cinnamon roll very good. Iced matcha was good, but the coffee was very mediocre. They have a huge sitting area where we relaxed and enjoyed our food.
