He relies on his nebulizer, and today the machinery unexpectedly burned out. Haider is the on- call "doctor" for my father's PCP. We called to request a Rx for a new nebulizer, to which we were advised by the answering service that Haider was too busy at the hospital to return my call, and that my father will need to contact his PCP on Monday. My father's COPD is severe, and he most likely will be unable to make it through the weekend without another ER visit. My father has the medicine he needs and only requires the nebulizer machine. However, Haider cannot be bothered to return my calls in an effort to help my father. I am astounded at this lack of professionalism and basic caring for another person. Unbelievable!!

First, I was charged a no-show fee for an appointment with a PA that I never scheduled. Second, I was charged a no-show fee for a Monday PT appointment during a major ice storm, when schools were closed for multiple days and the City of Irving Police Department advised residents to stay off the roads. Most businesses, including grocery stores and banks, were also closed. If the clinic had used its texting system to clearly notify patients that appointments were still being held and that no-show fees would apply, that would be different. But expecting patients to travel in unsafe conditions without any communication is unreasonable. Because of this billing approach, I'll be continuing my care elsewhere.

I was able to get into surgery within a week (the condition wasn't emergent, but did need to be dealt with), and the procedure went really well. Follow up went smoothly, and the information I was given about recover times and expectations was spot on. The office staff were also very professional, especially in keeping me informed about the status of appointments, and in working with the surgical center in Southlake. Of course, I hope I don't have to have a similar procedure again, but I have been very happy with how well this went, and definitely recommend Dr. Elieson and the Mid-Cities staff.

Per my insurance company, it is on the same tab in Availity - Providers- TriWest; when you submit the referrals (as the provider). Only a referral was made and PT requires both. So now it still needs to be submitted but now they are saying my PCP needs to. This was the same way in east region (now west for Texas) so I don't know why this is like a new thing to them with authorizations. They worked me into rehab in the meantime which is nice; when I called they wouldn't do that without charging me per visit out of pocket. I love her and will not be changing doctors any time soon. They open early, you can get an appointment at 7:30am and they even have some Saturday hours. They are a small practice and they definitely put their patients first.
