    Our 2019 Subaru Ascent Touring
    Prentice M.

I highly endorse Mr Greg Bourgeois and the Bryan Subaru Team. I purchased a 2019 Subaru Ascent Touring after researching and shopping for 8 months. This experience was painless and empowering to acquire such an amazing product and service team with full support after the sell! Truly appreciate this team! Purchase with Confidence!

Picked up some locking wheel lugs for the wife's new car.

I knew in March of 2014 that my wife's next car would probably be a Subaru, as her 2005 Nissan Xterra (named Ruby), although running perfectly, would be turning 11 years old in 2016. I was already looking online and comparing compact SUV's, and the Subaru Outback and Forester had the highest IIHS safety ratings. I joined a Subaru Outback and Forester forum in March 2014 and began reading and listening to other Subie owners. Fast forward to March 2016 and the Xterra was still running great with 97 K miles. But it was time to retire Ruby and get my wife & child into a newer, safer vehicle. I began a "hard target search" and immersed myself in online reviews, magazine reviews, Subaru literature and YouTube videos. I also made a 36 column spreadsheet comparing compact SUV's, and the Forester & Outback were decisively at the top of the list. My wife put the kibosh on the Outback but stated she liked the Forester. My sister had recently purchased a new Outback based on my extensive Subaru research. She advised me that sales manager Mike Romagossa at Bryan Subaru had worked with her in an attempt to get her a Tungsten colored Outback. Mike sits near her at the Saints games and she vouched that he was a really good guy. So I made it a point to introduce myself as I knew we would be getting a Forester soon. Before my visit, I went online on Yelp and saw that Yelper Jennifer B. worked for Bryan Subaru and bought a Subie from them, as did Yelper Jen L. I reached out to them, and they both highly recommended salesperson Rex Bubacz (pronounced BOO-bock) at Bryan. Now I had my preferred dealership and all that was left was to negotiate a good deal. Upon our arrival at Bryan, we met with Mike Romagossa and he introduced us to Rex. Rex is not just an "ordinary" salesperson. He is a certified Subaru salesperson, which means that he enrolled in several online courses to become a subject matter expert (SME) on all things Subaru. It was immediately evident that he was definitely a SME, as there were no questions that he could not answer; and I asked a lot of questions. He is also a Subaru Summit Peak Performer, which means that within his sales district, which includes Dallas, Fort Worth and Houston, TX,; he is ranked 3rd in vehicle sales, which is no small feat. Rex is the Clark Kent of salespersons. He has a quiet demeanor and a subtle sense of humor that immediately puts you at ease. However, his professional appearance, product knowledge and honest approach to sales assures you that you are in good hands. Even though we wanted a Forester XT Touring with the 250 HP turbocharged 2.0 liter engine, we also test drove the 170 HP 2.5 liter naturally aspirated engine for a benchmark comparison. And there was no comparison, as the XT turbo blew us away. Rex was very informative on the 2 test drives, especially just before we began each drive, as he explained a lot of the vehicle's features. However, during the actual drive, he was quite unobtrusive and let us enjoy the experience; and only made pertinent comments as they relayed to a specific vehicle feature. I'll go on the record and state that Rex was the main reason, but not the only reason we decided to purchase our car at Bryan. Once we negotiated a fair deal, we ordered the exact vehicle we wanted and waited for it to arrive. Now it was time to meet with the finance manager, which is usually a very uncomfortable and sometimes frustrating experience. However, Business/Finance Mgr. Andy Daigle sets a new standard on just how easy it can be to buy a car. Since we had already negotiated a price with Rex, and received a top tier financing rate based on our 800+ credit score, we walked into Andy's office, signed all the required paperwork, received copies of everything we signed and were out of the door with our new Subaru keys in LESS than an hour. Talk about a refreshing concept. Kudos to you Andy. When we were ready to leave, we were escorted to our new vehicle by David, who for lack of a better term is a concierge delivery specialist. Normally, at other dealerships, this is done by your salesperson. He walked us through nearly every feature of our new Forester XT Touring (named Scarlet) and helped my wife pair her phone via Bluetooth, as well as demonstrating how the touchscreen stereo & navigation worked, how the X-Drive system worked and how the three different transmission modes (with paddle shifters) worked. Bryan Subaru was a pilot program for this service and I think it should be adopted by all dealerships. Lastly, although we did not get to meet Service Manager Mickey Rhodes and his staff, we did receive a complimentary factory scheduled maintenance plan for 2 years / 24 K miles. Therefore, we'll meet them soon enough. I like to support local businesses and Bryan has been family owned and operated for 61 years; so it was a pleasure to support them. If you are in the market for a new Subaru, go to Bryan and ask for Rex!

They are the only people in the greater New Orleans area that I trust to work on my car. THE ONLY PEOPLE. They are highly in demand because people know a good thing when they see it. I took my car over and spoke with Mike and Henry on the issue. I was really surprised on how well they treated me. When they looked over the problem they were able to quote me a much lower price than expected. Furthermore, I really felt as though they were looking out for my best interests. They saved me a ton of money on getting the car back to a driveable state without pushing additional unneeded repairs. When I picked up the car, not only did they fix the main problem, but also tightened my belts that were squealing with no additional cost. These guys are AWESOME!. Don't bother going anywhere else for your automotive work.

So I was able to drive it to Allen's Automotive on Utica St. in Metairie, La. I explain the repair work according to the diagnostic reading from the first shop who weren't able to do the work, the employee asked what code did the diagnostic machine give, I called the other shop and the tech sent via text, the code as well as a picture as it was still in his machine I shared it with D. DillenKoffer at Allen's Automotive Services, who then said to me yes we can take care of it for you. So I left my vehicle there at Allen's Automotive. Couple days go by and I get an email from Allen's Automotive in the form of a bill for $3,557.37, which I didn't have but I was relieved to see that there was financing available, so I had the work financed and approved in late January (2026) I got a text that my vehicle was ready to be picked up and because I had the work financed that all was a go I had filled out the necessary documents for the financing part and that it was cleared and I was able to come and get my vehicle, however when I arrived I was told by V. April that it didn't go thru (financing) but actually what he did was added the labor for a part I had supplied which I did not have a problem with but it was just the way he went about it, stating that the financing didn't go thru. I had started receiving emails asking to review Allen's Automotive Services at the time I wasn't quite ready to review Allen's Automotive Services. So I have my vehicle about two months and I noticed oil leaking from the exact spot where the work was performed, so I brought the vehicle back once I noticed the transmission oil leaking, once back at the shop explaining the oil leak I noticed that I was treated differently from when I initially went in for the work to be done, the tech got on it and tightened the bolts of the transmission pan, he used a small hand held battery charged rachet to tighten the bolts. I then get in my vehicle and left, I think that was in mid March, on or about August 4th or so I noticed another oil leak in my driveway under the vehicle so I took pictures of the leak under vehicle as well as oil on the transmission bolts on front of pan and on the rear pan bolts as well as the side pan bolts also, I got under vehicle and touched my finger on one of the bolts that had an oil droplet on it and rubbed it between my fingers, the color of the oil was red as in transmission oil. I called the office and asked if I could get a copy of a receipt that I had misplaced, the lady asked my name or number she located the receipt and sent it to me via email I wasn't sure if work was still under warranty so I brought the vehicle back to the shop again. I was explaining that the transmission was leaking oil again one of the techs said he'd come out and check transmission oil and top transmission oil off and that they weren't able to do anything else that day because they were full. The tech check trans oil and topped it off. He and I walk back in the office and he checks the work order just to be sure it was covered under the warranty the tech then tells me to bring the vehicle back Tuesday August 11th so I asked the tech if I could get something in writing because if I had gotten a trip out of town that it might've brought me over the warranty miles and another guy in the office answered as if he was irritated with my presence and questioning concerning the warranty and he snapped at me saying look we're gonna honor your warranty alright and I asked who he was and he replied in a puffed up manner oh I'm the GM over the shops, and if I say we're gonna honor it we will, it was V. April. So I leave the shop drove to New Orleans and then back to my home in Laplace, La that was Friday August 7th. I came home and parked vehicle and didn't move or drive it till Tuesday August 11th when I brought the vehicle back and it was parked across the street from the shop in back of some Banquet Hall, Wednesday (today) I get a text explaining inspection performed and that it was found to be motor oil blowing back on transmission pan bolts and oil leaking from valve covers on engine and I was sent another bill totaling over $6,000.00 for that work which I declined. I really don't/didn't feel they handle this properly and my warranty wasn't honored, nothing was done about transmission leak cause I know what I touched on my fingers was red transmission fluid, no one can make me think it was anything else.
