We loved the shuttle! With a park pass, you can ride it free. The shuttle stops at all the main sights within the canyon as well as the campgrounds & lodge. It also stops several places within the town. The RV sights were spacious with beautiful views. Trees in every space. They also offer tent camping & teepees. The community showers are locked with a code needed to enter as well as some of the restrooms. All were very clean & smelled good. The campgrounds also have a shuttle service that will take you to places on & off the campgrounds. They offer a reasonably priced laundry with needed supplies for purchase. The room was very clean & well kept. The dryers take quarters or electronic payments. Ruby's is more than just an Rv park with many activities & things to do. There is a cowboy town with ice cream & cookies. A general store with souvenirs as well as a good selection of groceries. We went to Ebeneezer Barn & Grill in the evening. The food was surprisingly good & we watched a Bluegrass band. I highly recommend this as a vacation spot for families!

Staying in National Park campgrounds always seems like a hack to me - close to trails, affordable, and peaceful. Recommend Fairyland Loop for stunning views and fewer hikers, sunset point for sunrise (trust me) straight into the Queen's Garden to avoid crowds, and Bryce Point for sunset. Bathroom was clean, metal picnic tables. Quick drive to Sunrise/Sunset Points, I know the FCFS (first come first serve) tent only spots are closer, but I liked the certainty and peace of mind of a reserved spot.

After I saw both campgrounds, I recommend North campground. We reversed at Sunset but ended up getting a spot at North because it was close proximity to the rim, 1min! Also, close to the general store, which has firewoods, and camp gears and shower. Shower is $3 for 8mins. Last shower is at 4:30pm. Usually campgrounds shower is like warm but here shower gets hot! From Sunset, you have a little more walk and cross the road to go to the rim. And campgrounds were a little tighter than North. So we decided to dump $20 and get a site at North campground. Take the Loop D. It's the closest to the sunrise point. My kids and I went every morning to see the sunrise diuring our 3day-stay here. Just wake up and walk a min! In the Loop D, the best sites are 81 and 83, because their tent spots are very flat, and a little more secluded pluscloser to the rim. We stayed at 99. It's a little slant, but not a bad one. We liked it. Overall, Loop D has good camp sites. This is first come first served, so if you want a spot, it's better to come around or even before 11:30am whichj is checkout time. People even leave earlier like 9am so if you really want good spots, come early. We stayed on August 6, 7, 8, 9 (Thurs-Sun) and surprisingly, there was still empty spots during weekends. I'm glad that we came a little far To Bryce than Sequoia/Yosemite which is closer to our home in LA.

First, it took a while to reach the campground from the main highway. Near the beach area, it can be very sandy. If you have a rental car, be careful to find a path with flattened sand unless you're driving a 4x4 jeep. Second, the view of Lone Rock was not impressive due to the lack of water. It used to be possible to kayak around Lone Rock (when it was surrounded by 20 to 50 feet of water). Unfortunately, without the lake water, the view of Lone Rock is meh (comparing the 2023 photos with snapshots from 2019 or 2021). The low water levels are the visible effect of climate change and diminished snowmelt from the mountains feeding into the Colorado River. I did not stay at the campground, so cannot speak to that experience. But if you're looking for a view of Lake Powell - I would drive over to the Wahweep Marina on the AZ side of the state border and take a sunset photo from the boat launch area there.

Camped here with a friend in early September 2020 and it blew our expectations out of the water…read more We were nervous about the first-come-first-serve camping policy and not being able to make a reservation, but there was plenty of room even when we arrived on a Saturday evening on a holiday weekend. We pulled up about an hour before sundown, found a place to park and set up our tent, and enjoyed the beach. There was a stunning sunset and sunrise. Everyone we met was very kind and helpful. The other campers answered questions and helped us find our way around. It seemed like most of them camp here regularly, which gave it a nice community feel. The only downside we found was that it was a little loud in the evening, especially from the ATV's zooming around. Since it was really dark at night, we were even afraid they'd accidentally run over us in our tent. The next morning there was a long line to use the public bathrooms and showers, which are located fairly far from the camping ground, so be sure to account for this if needed. Beware if you have a vehicle that's low to the ground due to the sandy roads. We drove a sedan slowly and didn't have any trouble. The only mistake we made was accidentally driving over a few big rocks at our camp spot, so be on the lookout for those off the "road" I would return and camp here again in a heartbeat.

They have 30 amp and 50 amp., showers, laundry room, even a dog wash for your dirty fur babies from all the hikes they are doing. A local stream is behind the campground, which is really cool you can walk to, for the dogs to play in. They even have a large gift shop and each campsite is equipped with a fire pit. They sell the fire wood and fire starters inside the office. They will even deliver the firewood to campsite if you choose to. This campground is only open for the season and usually closes after October 31 and reopens around April. Will definitely come back!!!!

The amenities alone stand out--clean, well-lit facilities, warm showers, and even heated floors (yes, heated floors!). Everything is thoughtfully provided on an honor system, which adds to the welcoming, trusting atmosphere. When we arrived, we realized we had accidentally booked our stay one day too early. Instead of turning us away, they graciously offered us a boondocking spot and invited us to a once-a-week complimentary dinner for all guests. It turned into a wonderful evening around the fire pit, connecting with fellow travelers. Meeting the owners was an added highlight--they were as warm and inviting as the meal they shared. We feel incredibly lucky to have stumbled upon this special place in the middle of such a beautiful desert.

The shared area for lounging and relaxing is so well appointed and just kind of magical. The owners are just terrific, friendly people and made us feel so welcome. I was about to pay for my ice-cream and the owner who we were chatting with said NO it was on him. There are so many little touches and thoughtful things at your disposal. They have really thought of everything. We are coming back in late fall for an extended stay and can't wait.

The visitor center will likely be the only place you'll have Internet connectivity, but that's okay, because there is so much to take in here. A great outdoor area, gift shop, and even ice cream. And the bathrooms are super modern with a rainfall showerhead with hand attachment as well. There is even a really cool laundry room located in an old west style saloon building. These are excellent amenities and exactly what you need after a long day of hiking. In addition, the park itself is picturesque, with great design and privacy for most camp sites. Even though we only stayed one night, the host had our name accurately filled out when we arrived (our other sites had old information and never changed it. Not that this is a big deal, but it was an extra detail showing the care for the site). Navajo Lake nearby is AMAZING and there is plenty to do if you plan ahead. We will definitely be back!

Upon pulling into the park noticed a law enforcement ranger vehicle (real police but for the NPS) parked in the shade beside the road. Bathrooms were clean, showers located in main office/gift shop so it was a hike from loop A and even more of a hike from other loops. I would stay again but personally would avoid peak season months as I can see that it would be really busy due to the lake.

Staff would not help me get change so I could do my laundry and suggested I walk a mile down the road to get change. Manager wouldn't help either. Update the washer/dryers to accept CC if you want to be cashless and don't leave your guests in a jam.
