He didn't show, I texted and he said he missed his reminder, apologized, but did not try to reschedule. I texted him again and we set up another appointment. He texted me that day and said he was stuck on a job and couldn't make it. No attempt to reschedule. I texted 3 times after that and left a phone message. No response. The temperatures are in the 30s at night, but I have not turned my heat on yet while I try to find someone to repair my furnace. I'm cold, pissed, and don't understand how you stay in business when you treat customers like this.

John Daley has been doing work for me for years. When my…read morehusband & I retired we wanted to move into the garage so that we could have a tiny house. John needed to bring in water & sewer into the building. He had to plumb the bathroom, laundry area & kitchen. He also had to run new propane lines for our cooking stove, Vt Castings propane heater & on demand hot water. It came out perfect. A couple of years later, he had to install a new boiler and all new piping along with all new plumbing for an old house I bought in Huntington. He also ran propane for a clothes dryer, and on demand hot water heater and cooking stove. Again the results were perfect. Recently he installed a water purifying system under our kitchen sink so that we did not have to buy water again. In each and all of the 'jobs' he has done for us, his work is well thought out with money saving recommendations on appliances. His work is impeccable so there is never concern about the safety of all he does. I certainly would recommend him to help anyone who is looking for a very knowledgeable person in his trade. He takes great pride in his work and is reasonable in todays environment.

Our first experience with Plumbums was excellent - we had an emergency issue, Jim was able to come…read moreout within an hour or two and get it fixed, and he was on his way. When our pipes froze during the big storm this January (thankfully, without water in them), we decided to hire Plumbums again. That didn't go as well. Quality of work: The fixes Jim suggested (a series of individual junction fixes) seemed reasonable for the repairs needed, but in some cases replacing whole sections would have been more time- and cost-efficient (according to other plumbers we've had in our home who have seen the work done). And we needed four return visits within our first three days living in the house to address issues that had not been resolved or that popped up as soon as we turned systems on. One problem (heat running constantly on our first floor, making the house over 80 degrees in the winter) was unresolved until I researched possible causes myself and communicated that to Jim, who sent out one of his guys to implement the fix. Professionalism: We were frustrated by the lack of care shown toward our property. Jim's guys left plumbing debris (not just the stuff our homeowner's insurance requested, but just straight-up trash), food trash, and drywall dust in our basement and living areas. This means that the first thing we had to do after driving 3,200 miles to move in was clean up after them. Drywall was removed roughly in several locations, and although patching was not included in the estimate, the cuts themselves appeared unnecessarily sloppy (and our new plumber neatly cuts and replaces drywall as a matter of course, leaving the mudding to us, which is fine). Plumbums did work well with our insurance company to get our claim handled, and ultimately we have working plumbing. But our experience wasn't great.
