I went to this dental office after previously seeing another dentist, because my daughter's insurance was not accepted at the previous clinic. During my checkup, I was told I needed six or more crowns along with several fillings, which immediately raised concerns, because the other clinic never told me of such. After having one filling done, I began experiencing pain in a tooth that had never bothered me before the appointment. When I later discussed this with my family, they expressed concern that the treatment may have caused the issue rather than helped it. Over a month later, the office contacted me to ask whether I wanted to move forward with the crowns. (The gentlemen calling, said the doctor wanted to know if I want to start treatment with one crown) By that time, I had already decided not to return. My husband and daughter were also seen the same week and both felt uncomfortable with their visits. Based on our experiences, we do not trust the treatment recommendations and have chosen to seek care elsewhere. I haven't seen a dentist in about 11 or 12 years, (working for Korean employers means you're probably not getting health or dental benefits) so I've been neglecting my teeth for quite some time. Now that I finally have dental benefits, I decided to try btyDENTAL. I'm very happy that I chose this practice. Dr. Dom is very good at his job. During the consultation phase, he explained all the options I had and what the pros and cons were for each. He made it very easy for me to decide on my plan of action to get myself to better health for my teeth (and gums). During the two procedures so far (deep cleanings) he was very efficient and thorough in making sure that he got everything out. The two assistants that took care of me are amazing! I'll start with Reggie. She took care of all the x-rays and assisted Dr. Dom during the deep clean procedures. She has an awesome personality that put me at ease. I was very nervous and apologetic for what she was about to deal with because my teeth are jacked. She assured me not to worry and that their team was there to get me fixed up. After the cleaning procedures, Anahi took care of the polishing, flossing and fluoride wash and things like that. She also put me at ease and took very good care of my teeth. Both Reggie and Anahi have great singing voices btw and they will usually be singing along with the radio while working. Little things like that helped me feel comfortable during the procedures. After Anahi was singing along to Paparazzi, I showed her my video clips of the Gaga concert I went to and she just gushed with jealousy. Everyone at the practice is great! Every 3 months, and there's a whole new ass crowd working in the front, don't know what they doing. over charging me for shit, things I didn't even now about until I got the bill 6 months later. I have been a client here for slightly more than 2.5 years keeping up with racism and mistreatment from the front desk. I think that I'm better off getting COVID-19 than remaining a client at Rainer Dental in Bonney Lake. There is this woman with fake blonde at the front desk. She's VERY rude, openly racist, and probably thinks that she's doing us a favor when she serves us. I have been mistreated by her on two different occasions during check-in to the clinic. Today she canceled my appointment for no apparent reason. After rescheduling my next visit and leaving their office, I sent a text to the office line notifying them of my experience in their office earlier today and the unfair, and mean mistreatments just so that it may get the attention of someone there, but to my surprise, I immediately received a text response saying "...you can move to another dental office...bla..bla.." Like seriously?? I bring to your attention the state of your customer services and poor services offered at your front desk and without even a question, I am automatically the unwanted client regardless of the more than 2.5yrs that I have been your client. WARNING: If you're a person of color, spare yourself your time and money. YOU DO NOT HAVE to go through the mistreatments that I have undergone in this office. Absolutely HORRIFIC dentist! I (like several other reviewers) had what I strongly believe to be at least one false filling here that has caused me problems for life! I had excellent oral health and no tooth pain at the time, so when they said I needed one it came totally out of left field. It actually ended up being badly done as well and another dentist had to redo it. They were also so ill-mannered about it too--the dentist gave me a big smile and said "one cavity today!" like it was a good thing?!? I literally left their office crying! Additionally, an EXTREMELY RUDE hygienist (some country bumpkin) worked on me a number of times, saying awful things while I was unable to respond or defend myself as she was cleaning my teeth. I'm fairly new to Rainier Dental, but I have been there a few times. I normally dont post reviews, but i felt this needed to be said. I have no idea where these negative comments come from. I have NEVER experienced any rude behavior from any of the staff. Everyone has been very pleasant, doctors and staff alike!! I believe I was in the office when one of these "gentlemen" came into the office. From what I gather, he was late for his appt, more than the 10 minutes grace allowed like any other dentist/doctors' office. He wasn't happy with the receptionist, who, by the way, is the sweetest and smartest young lady I have met when she let him know that the hygienist couldn't see him now due to him being late. He says that it was "unfair" and yet rescheduled his appt. NOTHING that the receptionist said was racist fueled or rude. I think she handled like a pro. She was just doing her job, very well, in fact. If he thinks his treatment was "unfair," he has a rude awakening when he goes into the real world. read more

I started going there about three months ago,the first visit was a bit of a mess because the beloved Dr.Barchar had up and left and I ended up with a sub,not good,I was frustrated and said I was never coming back but the bookkeeper who had brought Me our a estimate for getting started with false teeth explained to Me that they were left short handed for the moment but They Do have a lovely Lady Dentist named Dr. Alkebsi,She sounded good so I got a appt. With Her,they sent Me all the paperwork to fill out then I got covid,no problem,they said call back when I was well so I did.They have just great Friendly staff,very helpful,I wish I remembered names better.They are still short a Dentist and one is on a long vacation so Dr. Alkebsi is a busy lady but,worth any time you have to wait,trust Me on this.I am an Anxious Person,not just at the Dentist but with anything unfamiliar. Dr.A is very sweet and calming,I had full mouth impressions which I just hate because of a bad experience,She understood this and coached Me thru it even had me in a half hug for Mom type comfort.Yesterday was the day to get all of My upper teeth pulled and permanent dentures placed,I took meds to calm and then trusted her,Her wonderful assistant right there tuned in to what either if us needed.3 hours later we were all tired but She made it so much easier.Today She had Me back to make sure I was on the mend and I was feeling good,and healing good,the Male assistant whom is wonderful as the others heard My complaints the dentures were making some sore spots,She and Him figured out the issue's,fixed it and sent Me happily on My way to finish healing. Worst place I have ever gone. According to the orthodontist, they pulled teeth on my daughter that should never have been extracted. Twice they lied to me about procedures they did on me. Then I requested to talk to owner and he was very late to see me ( though I was his first patient of the day) & totally blew me off, could have cared less about me being lied to by two different doctors that worked for him. These people are the best! The dental care is top notch, and the staff are just outstanding. My story: I had the tooth part of an implant fall off -- while working on the road in Texas. The original dentist who did the implant 8 years ago (also did a great job) is in Illinois, my home is in Florida, and my next stop for work was Seattle. In a panic, I got a reference from someone I new in Puyallup, and I called the office -- at 6:15pm Pacific Time -- expecting to get voicemail. Instead, someone cheery and extremely helpful answered, got my info, looked at her calendar, and set me up for an appointment less than 48 hours later. I flew in to Seattle the afternoon of my appointment, drove to the office, filled out the paperwork, and an hour later, walked out with my tooth completely repaired. I also got great advice from Dr. Bashar about my implant, and life is good! I can't recommend these folks highly enough. Rainier Dental is the best! read more

While I will say the office is new and modern, clean and tidy...I have since left this dentist office. Pros: hygienist was nice, thorough and did a good job. Chairs are modern with tvs to watch while being worked on. Cons: Every time we showed up, we were told we were a half hour late. We were never late according to our appointment time given, so that was always weird. My children were treated for more cavities than I ever thought possible. Finally I was told I had a cavity as well. They even pointed it out on the X-ray. I decided to wait to have it fixed. By the next year I switched to a different dentist where my sister was a hygienist. After X-rays, I was told there was not one cavity. Not even a start of a cavity. To this day, I believe the multiple cavities my children were treated for were never really cavities. I would never recommend this office unless you just want to get your standard cleanings and don't trust their suggested treatments for anything else. Get a second opinion on anything else...cavities, root canals, etc. read more

I am a relatively new patient to Rainier Dental. My husband referred me to them when my dentist closed their office near me. I would like to share my thoughts and experience with this team concerning my 4 it 5 visits to them for various dental work and cleaning over the last 18 months. The team at Rainier Dental are wonderful! From the appointment scheduling, reception, dental technitions, hygenist, up to and including Dr. Tiffin all express professionalism, courtesy, individualized care and supportive and positive input concerning the care of my teeth! While they are extremely professional, their courtesy and friendliness calms and guides me through each procedure before we begin and then reviews the work to my understanding if any additional care is needed, or steps I should take in the care if my teeth. They are a great team, offer flexible hours, offer text reminders for appointments, (good for me!) and are just great people. I would encourage anyone who is dissatisfied with their current care to visit Rainier Dental and see if you are as impressed as I have been! read more

I 1st of all have had many bad experiences with dentists over the years. I have small teeth (or so I'm told) & my teeth wear down easily. I recently found Dr. Bashar & Rainier Dental & have been very happy with the care I've received. I was told I'd need a root canel when I broke a tooth from another dentist but went to Rainier Dental for a 2nd opinion & it was fixed in 20 minutes. I have since gotten 4 crowns to build up my teeth with Dr. Bashar. I would highly recommend this dentist. read more

Still waiting for a call back! Had a great experience my first few visits. Then set up an orthodontist consult for my daughter, which was still great. I forgot to ask a few questions so I called later on that night. I asked if they would give a discount for paying all in cash. I was told they would get back to me. Didn't hear back so I called again and was told that they offer a cash discount, but wasn't sure what it was And they do not take cash at that office but they would call me back. I still never heard back, so I called again, and finally found out what that discount was, but they couldn't answer my question about not excepting cash at the office. Once again, I was told I would get a call back, and I never did. I left a message on their voicemail about my experience and I still haven't gotten a call back again. So I have switched dentists and have reached out to a for an orthodontist consult at a different place. I know people get busy, but I shouldn't have to call four times and never receive a call back. This is poor customer service. I even tried to allow them to rectify it, and they still have not. read more

The staff at Rainier is excellent They really care for you ensure that your visit is the best it can be from service times and friendly greetings all the way through to the dentist. Dr. Bashar is so aware and so skilled that he is the best dentist I have ever been to. His work is second to none and he does the extra things to make everything the very best. He and his assistant kept me very calm and I never even noticed the extraction and it was my very back tooth, so that one is hard to get to. Here's the short sweet and simple, This place is sketchy, false treatment plans, poor quality fillings, and ripping your money out of your wallet every chance they get. Go any where else to get your teeth done, avoid this place. Now here is why...A few months ago i left this dentist because they had suggested that i needed 4 fillings, possibly a root canal. So for such a big procedure(and my teeth didn't look bad) I went to a second dentist to get another opinion,and it turned out i only needed 1 filling. This dentist would not send my treatment plan over to the other dentist and my new dentist had to call multiple times to get my records(something smells fishy). Everyone makes occasional mistakes, but this is hardly their first. 3 fillings i have had from this location have fallen out(this giant filling i had just came out of my mouth while i was flossing and why i decided to write a review). In addition my new dentist offers only white fillings, it costs nothing extra and is covered under the same plan i had at this dentist. Except that this dentist charges an extra $100 per white filling. read more

Turned away my 88 year old Dad. He has to prep for a dental cleaning with antibiotics due to a heart murmur. He moves slowly and we do have a 30 minute drive to get to Bonney Lake from our location. We arrived exactly 11 minutes late and the dentist said NO WAY they would see us as we were too late and would mess up the appointments for the rest of the day. We were the only people in the office and apparently the first appointment of the day. We are obviously never going back. I understand the need to arrive at an appointment on time, but that is a bit of overkill. read more

Great providers but terrible billing practices. It takes them four to five months to bill primary and secondary insurance and then they accuse you of not paying a bill after you actually had. Desiree at the Bonney Lake location was verbally abusive to me and sarcastic and demeaning. I'm lucky that I have not once waited 10 or more minutes to be seen, but to be fair, I normally show up exactly at my time, or 5 minutes after my schedule appointment. So I am seen extremely fast. I love the Bonney Lake location much more than the Sumner. I transferred up from there because of the staff primarily. My dentist is genuine and he has a sense of humor, both I appreciate. I am someone who doesn't fear or loathe the dentist, so I never have a problem to make my biyearly appointments. The staff is so sweet, I am always surrounded with smiles and laughter and we have a good time as opposed to having a negative attitude. It's nice looking forward to seeing the staff especially if I'm not exactly looking forward to getting a filling done or getting a teeth cleaning, makes it less of a pain because everyone is genuine. Price wise, like most dentist offices, they're about the same. Wish it was more inexpensive, but that's dental for you. read more

If there was a choice to mark no star that would be it. Since we have been going to this location their main focus is strictly monetary gain. They suck you into thinking that they have your best interest at the center and tell you that their services will be a certain price, only to be informed later that insurance will not cover it - causing you to fork over money that wasn't planned. Then they try to get you to take x-rays ever visit - when it is not necessary. Today my husband went in for a cleaning and told them he didn't need x-rays and they would not clean his teeth. I just read the reviews and it seems that they're either totally positive or totally negative. I can't understand the negative ones. I've always been a little early and they take me within a few minutes. The staff are great with me. No billing problems. Dr. Bashar rocks !!! I had two partial plates made and was dissatisfied with the appearance of the bottom plate. He fixed it right there in the office. I recommend them to all my Washington family and friends. I have been going here for several years. My children have as well. My children have gotten great dental care and have had several "no cavities" visits. They are considerate and kind, very helpful and I had to leave to another dentist because of insurance but I am able to come back now.. Very happy! read more

I had a very unpleasant experience with this operation. I started as a patient in November 2012. From the first appointment, I made clear to them that I was a woman of very limited means, a single mother with an 8 year old child, money was and is very tight and that I needed to take care of my dental issues because they were effecting my health. They said don't worry we'll work with you. Dr. Rae was the first dentist I saw. She was compassionate, understanding and professional. I said to the office help at every appointment, we need to set a payment schedule for work to be performed. Each time I was brushed off - "we'll let you know" and I have paid them almost $1000 out of pocket plus whatever they have billed my insurance. They have also never given me a statement of billing. Then I had an emergent situation. I called to see Dr. Rae and was told she was no longer there. They had a new dentist, Lisa McCoy and I would need to see her. I asked if I could see one of the other dentists that had been a long time staff member and was told no, she was my only option. As I was in pain and needed treatment, I went to Dr. McCoy. She performed 2 root canals without putting me on antibiotics for a few days before treatment. She was chilly in her manner and didn't seem to want to hear about my situation. I saw one of the older dentists about 10 days later because of on going pain and inflamation and he was really surprised that McCoy had not had me on antibiotics before the root canals. He told me that he always has his patients on meds at least 3 days before a root canal. He prescribed a heavier duty antibiotic and all seemed to be well for another 3 - 4 weeks. Needless to say I am still fighting infection. I contacted her over this past weekend due to a tremendous amount of pain. She did return my message,prescribed a mild antibiotic and pain reliever. She told me to make an appointment with her on Tuesday, she wouldn't be in the office until then and really didn't want to pass me off onto one of her co-workers. She said we would evaluate my problem and then possibly refer me to a specialist. I again told her of my financial situation and that I didn't have an unending source of funds for procedures. My feeling is that she didn't want to fix her mistakes and only wanted to pass me off to another dentist. When I got to the office for my appointment, in tremendous pain and a 1/2 hour drive in pouring rain from my home, I was told by the office staff that Dr. did not need to see me and gave me a referral. The treatment I received from this office was callous and unprofessional. I am highly dissatisfied with this office. read more
