#115 Okay, they have a Bubba Gump in the Bay Area but this one is a little different. It is not on Pier 39, and it is not necessarily a "tourist trap." It is located in the airport in Mexico. They sing a song to who ever buys a Margarita. I have been too hung over to eat, so I can only review the service and the cocktails. Yes, best hang over cure is another cocktail--I learned that in NOLA. Anyhow, our server was exceptional. We needed wifi and got a password, got stellar drinks to start and some amazing looking food (I will try and take pics of my friend's food). Have always wanted to try Bubba Gump, so we don't have one back at home. I had a lot of time left before my flight, so my sister and I decided to dine in here. Of course, since it's in the airport, everything was overpriced. We shared a Blueberry Lemonade and an appetizer sampler, called The Across America Sampler (I think), and it came up to almost $30, including tip. The sampler came with chips and artichoke dip (average), peel-and-eat cocktail shrimp (average), fried shrimp (pretty good), hush puppies (yummy, best I've had), and some kind of buffalo mini chicken strips (delicious!). Service was okay, although the waiter was friendly. A lot of tasty-sounding items on the menu, and I do love seafood, so I would want to try out Bubba Gump again when I get a chance. read more

Food & drinks were good. Had the cajun shrimp appetizer with garlic bread and some fries. The garlic bread nicely complimented the garlic sauce. Finished it all off with some key lime pie which had a nice (not too) tart flavor. Also their passion fruit margaritas were good. Forgot to take pictures. read more

This is a cookie cutter novelty dining spot in the Puerto Vallarta airport. Ordered a burger and fries, which pretty much was like a meat in a cold bun, fries came cold, had to request hot fries. Everything here is Way overpriced. Our two burgers and 2 pints of beer came to over $1000 pesos. Will try to avoid this place next time. read more

Our server was so great. He was fun, friendly, and was extremely attentive. I always don't expect much from airport restaurant's. The chicken tenders were okay, and margarita's were okay. I usually try to avoid chain restaurants, but I do love them at any airport. Chain restaurant deliver expected average quality of food - not below expectations as a lot of airport restaurants do. It was my first time to Bubba Gump and I loved the idea and decor. I love the movie so it was fun to remember different moments from the movie. The food was average and absolutely met my expectations. The Asian shrimp salad had plain ingredients with sour sweet dressing that made the salad tasty. Grilled shrimp was well cooked. Clam chowder had a lot of potato pieces and some clam pieces. It was a little more creamy than I would prefer, but great for the airport good! If I'm back to PV airport, I'm getting my lunch at Bubba Gump again! read more

Sat there as we were starving before our flight. There were about 12 waiters waiting at the front desk as the restaurant was 90% empty. We initially wondered why but once we opened the menus we quickly understood: Judge yourself: - $5 USD for 500mL bottle of water - $19 USD for a cocktail - $20+ USD for any entree - $10 USD for any dessert - $10 USD for a Caesar salad w/o chicken "Overpriced" would be way understated for this airport restaurant. Do yourself a favor, don't ruin the last day of your vacations, pass your way, anything else will be better. read more

To all of my foodie friends I want to be clear...this is more about service, location, price, and some food. After spending a week in Puerto Vallarta we were sad to leave and arrived at the airport way early and needed food. We thought it would be safe to try a chain place because at least we would know the food. This place was wonderful. The hostess sat us in a little corner away from the screaming ill behaved kids. The waiter was prompt and friendly. He explained how the "Run Forrest" and "Stop Forrest" signs worked and took our drink order. He quickly returned and with the drinks and took our order. The food was perfect and tasted just right. It's a very busy place and there were some people that got a little (bad word here) and it was upsetting. They came into a busy restaurant :30 minutes before their flight and complained it wasn't fast enough. So sad. The kids work hard and it shows. We had a great time and will probably eat here next year when we return to PV. read more

The food is ok, but not great. Portions are very ample, but the pricing is just insane. Airport pricing at its finest! We ordered a chicken sandwich, the seafood feast, two pizzas meals for the kids, four vigrin Pina Colada's, and one diet Coke. After tip it was $1760 Pesos! That's just crazy for very mediocre food. I am only giving this restaurant three stars for the food. The garlic shrimp we ordered were very small for the price but the flavor was delicious. The cocktails were good and the staff was attentive and friendly. I think we over paid at $35.00 USD for only four things but that's just me. read more

At the Puerto Vallarta Airport, we decided to have a meal at Bubba Gump. I paid $60.47 for one hamburger with fries, one Caesar salad, one order of onion rings (6) and two sodas. The hamburger was overcooked and tasteless. The onion rings were excessively greasy. Although I paid for refills, I didn't get one (my soda). The restaurant looked nice and staff were friendly. A much better choice would be to take advantage of the Carl's Jr. before going through security. Better food, better prices. read more

This place was suprisingly good for being in an airport. We ordered the Fried Chicken Burger with fries and the Steak with Mashed Potatoes, and both were really delicious. Worst quality food ever and WAAAY overpriced. Stay away... We ordered the shrimp Mac and Cheese, horrible. Clearly made with the cheapest quality ingredients ever. I tasted margarine, and chicken bouillon cubes and the clam chowder tasted just like the Mac and Cheese. It turns out, the same ingredients in both!!! The Ceasar salad looked like it came from a kids school cafeteria. Pale old browned on the edges romaine served with shredded dried out parmesan and mayonnaise-based so-called Ceasar dressing. Thick and disgusting. Yuck! WTH is with that? Bad food and high prices. Yup you'll be outta' biz soon. Oh but wait, you don't care, you're in the Airport. You'll never see us again? This is a pathetic excuse for a restaurant. Even an airport restaurant. The bartenders and waitstaff are too busy flirting with each other and playing around to take your order. And it's not like they ever make eye contact with customers to even notice you want to order. Instead, you have to loudly flag them down and get treated to an eye roll or annoyed sigh. This might have been the best choice for some last beers and something to eat while killing time before the long flight back home. My Cajun chicken sandwich was tasty but it had so much stuff on, it needed to be eaten with a fork and knife.
