We stopped at El Señor on our first day in Puerto Vallarta -- right off the beach, so location gets a perfect 10/10. The outdoor seating is ideal for people-watching and its proximity to the sand made it an easy first stop while we were still without pesos. Service was excellent: Jesús took care of us and was friendly and attentive -- 10/10 for service. Food was okay overall. The fish tacos were disappointing because the breading was too thick, which overpowered the fish -- I'd give food quality a 7/10. We ordered two rosés (or two margaritas?), two tacos: one fish and one beef. Price-wise it felt overpriced for what we got. Our bill (two drinks and two tacos) came to about $180 USD -- not great value, especially for a casual beach meal. If you arrive without pesos and want something convenient, it's fine, but for value you can do better elsewhere in PV. We had a dinner here on a Monday night out on the beach, which is of course a lovely setting. We appreciated being in the front row able to listen to the waves. The server was friendly but a bit too focused on upselling both liquor and food - there were a few times I was accidentally worried I'd ordered a lobster or the expensive tequila. We had our final dinner at Sea yard Beach when we went to our trip to Puerto Vallarta unfortunately it was the most unsatisfying borderline may have gotten my husband sick and most expensive meal $165. My daughter barely ate her chipotle shrimp tacos I had the mole plate. Which I did not find good. I'd have to say that the mole that I make at home from jar bottle. Was better than theirs. My husband ordered the most expensive place, which was the surf and turf on the menu. It said blue shrimp and one type of meat. I'm not quite remembering what it was but they didn't provide that they just gave him half a lobster which was really small, but he was so hungry. He didn't complain my son got a bean burrito I believe and he did not like it either they said chips and salsa would be coming on the house but never came. We waited over 45 minutes and the place was empty. I know we could've complained and made a big deal but I didn't want to do that and ruin the evening, but I will never go there. The ambience was ok. We loved both of our drinks here! I came about 3 years ago and got the stuffed pork and have been thinking about it since. When we booked our trip to come back to PV I told everyone that we had to eat here so I could get it again. I'm so glad I did! Just as good as I remember. A nice dinner spot DIRECTLY on the beach? This is the place. On our trip to Puerto Vallarta, we wanted to venture out of the resort to a place with good food and a great view. We found it at Si Senor Beach. We arrived for dinner on Saturday night and to our surprise, the restaurant was not very busy! The main entrance is on the beach side, but there is a gate from the back and to the top that leads down into the restaurant. They offer large indoor seating but we were here to eat outside, on the water. They gave us a nice table directly near the edge where there was nothing but waves in front of us. I truly enjoyed this view the entire time I was there. Plus, this is great photo opportunities for those of you who have photography lovers in their group! The drink menu was vast and the food menu had all the fan favorites. I ended up going with an old fashioned and the mixed fajitas. For appetizers, we ordered the guacamole and chips. I highly recommend you do order this as the waiter will make the dip in front of you. The guac was very fresh, tasty, with a hint of spice. I typically don't like spicy foods but enjoyed it nonetheless. Our server spoke English and was very nice. He explained the special and checked up on us as the dinner progressed. The bill was paid with a credit card on their mobile CC processor but I made sure to give him his tip in cash! Overall, very good experience. I enjoyed the food and the service. Yes, sir playa! Sí Señor Beach was the best for a breakfast of the best avocado toast I've ever had w/ a great cup of coffee and some sugar across from azúcar. We stopped in around 10 am and were guided to a table on the beach, there was a good amount of shade, a light breeze and that amazing tug of ocean washing up on the sandy shores. Looking over their menu options in spanish as well as inglés ( just flip over your menu - I definitely learned some new words...como la avena for one aka oatmeal). The Toastado de Aguacate was just what the doctor ordered. Los Especiales Del Chef because the chef is a master! Toasted bread, sautee veggies, avocado spread on the toast and slices on top with sesame seed was so rich blend of flavors paired with light crisp crunch salad topped with apple, strawberry and a sesame dressing... Sí Señor! The service was excellent, coffee refilled - con leche para el y sin leche para mi. For breakfast you have your pick of omelettes, platos de huevo, dulces (sweets) and specialities (Chef and Mexican). For almuerzo (lunch) y cena (dinner) - take your pick of sopas (soups), entradas (appetizers), pescado, and a variety of specials. So many options including a wide variety of all the beverages. The service was incredible from start to finish with a great view and a small crowd for breakfast/brunch time. Love this place! I come every year, making a reservation around 10 and posting up on a chair all day. The food is great, the drinks can be a bit weak but are good, and service is excellent (altho they're often busy so sometimes you have to wave them down- but they're always kind and helpful). I got the fish ceviche which was very good- chunks of fish, not ground up fish, with some onion and veggies. Not too spicy. The chips are really good. I also got the octopus arriero. It came in a very garlicky buttery broth with a bunch of potatoes. In hindsight I think I personally prefer grilled, but it was cooked perfectly and very flavorful. Please avoid this place, far nicer and cheaper along the front in the other direction. Pushed/railroaded us all into $5 US Evian water, why they don't sell local water I dont know or offer filter. Fish tacos were very bland and had a strange off taste. I was sick all evening and night after eating them. My boyfriend's mole chicken was very sweet and he said it didn't taste authentic. We paid over $55 USD for the 2 poor quality dishes, 2 water and one beer. Over priced. The vendors were constantly coming to our table. About 50 times in the 90 minutes we sat there. The service is great. It's a great view right on the beach. I ordered the guacamole. They make it at your table. He told me that part of the avacado was too hard so he only gave me half a portion but charged me full price. The guac really wasn't that good either. I've had better guac from a grocery store. When they brought out my shrimp all of the bugs swarmed my table. They followed the shrimp from the kitchen to my table. I even moved tables and they followed the shrimp. I think the bugs were trying to warn me. When I bit in to the shrimp it literally tasted and smelled like poo. I don't know if it was spoiled or they didn't clean them, but I spit it out. With so many bugs swarming my plate and the fact that I don't want to get sick, I didn't even want to eat anymore. So I paid $60+ US to eat a spoonful of rice and a few scoops of guac. Had a very bad experience there last night. Initially it set out to be a wonderful evening being seated at the front of the restaurant in the sand. There was a wonderful sunset. Temperature was perfect. We started off with a couple of their specialty cocktails, noting that they seem very low in alcohol at the time, but we were OK with that... as we're here on vacation, low alcohol is actually OK. We ordered the shrimp special along with a Caesar and tamale soup. The tamale soup was very bland. Tasted like tomato soup from a can. Added some salsa to it to give it a little kick. The salad they brought was not a Caesar, but something else which I didn't catch until the table next to us got a Caesar and how they prepared it for them was to order. With dinner I ordered a Pinot Grigio. They brought the shrimp but forgot the side of vegetables that we had ordered. As we waited for those, my wife then ordered the Pinot Grigio as well. When we compared the two together, it was clear they had watered down the wine for her. We let the waiter know and he did take one glass of wine off our bill. We will not be back. read more

After three years in a row of vacationing in PV, I've come to learn that the better restaurants are not located on the beach. However, my spouse wanted to try this place after seeing them grill a whole fish on their outdoor grill last year. ATMOSPHERE: Similar to other beach establishments they have open-air indoor seating, two bars and on-the-beach seating which is what most people want. The Los Muertos Pier is in plain view. MENU: Apps, salads, soups, fajitas, steak, fish, Mexican entrees. FOOD: They issued a coupon for two free apps because we were indecisive on dining here. We received their Guacamole worth $8 and Romana Calamari worth $13. Both were good but mainstream. Whole Red Snapper - $22.00 The five of us devoured this deep-fried fish in no time despite it having hardly any flavor as we were hungry. Pass the salt, please. Black Bean Cream Soup - $7.00 I had a spoonful of my spouse's soup that was disappointingly lukewarm. The flavor was very subtle. Throw me a life ring as I'm drowning in blandness!? Fresh Sea Bass Fillet A Lo Macho - $21.00 My dish was very good as the tender fish was lathered in a flavorful cream sauce and topped with octopus tentacles, shrimp, a sole mussel and onions over jasmine rice. Highly recommended! Rib Eye - $23.00 Think thinly cut, medium rare but tough and dry. So not the traits of a good rib eye. The baked potato was tasty but insultingly tiny like bliss potatoes. Very disappointing. DESSERT: Flan Looks can be very deceiving. The flan was thick and gritty. Pass. Chocolate Lava Cake Now this was good. The cake was moist and wasn't overly sweet. SERVICE: Like all of the beach eateries, they're sharks when you walk by. All of the servers were friendly. Food delivery was quick and synchronized.
