Have ordered from here a few times on doordash the first couple it wasn't bad but the last 3 times they've completely messed up the order. There's a lot of good things about this place but there's also bad things. Good: The food is tasty. It's very similar to Chipotle in the type of food but I personally think the taste is different. Rice is good, carnitas was tender, hot salsa was just right the list goes on. And I was full and satisfied at the end which is always a good sign. Bad: So I said I was full right? Well that was probably because they put so much rice into the bowl. A lot of rice to make it look like it's a lot. And they don't add a lot of meat. Also, they are very conservative with the add ons. $1 for pepper and onions when I get it for free at Chipotle? No thanks. There's so many extra prices that you need to know before ordering. And it's slightly more expensive than competitors. This place is new so they're probably trying to find their niche. Give them a try because they have good food! read more

While some have said that (this) Bubbakoo's (location) is similar to Chipotle but with more variety, that's about the extent of the likeness between the 2. The food, is decent. I've probably been about 15-20 times since they opened and a handful of times, there was an issue with the food- rice not cooked all the way through, over cooked protein, way too much salsa slopped on, but nothing majorly wrong. What does this place in time and time again for me is the service (sorry employees that work there but from a service perspective, Chipotle has you beat far and away). I literally just got back from lunch there and being the only one on line, I stepped up and ordered. Steak tacos and chicken burrito (for dinner later). The guy shouts back "steak up," to someone in the back kitchen who I guess starts cooking the steak (Chipotle has all of their proteins and the such out- if there is a reason why Bubbakoos does it this way, I am unaware). I walk down the assembly line and as he starts to fold my burrito, it breaks...I was on the phone holding for customer service for another company so I just watched as he went over, grabbed another burrito tortilla, and proceeded to empty out the contents of the ripped one into the new one. By no means am I bougey to the point of turning the result away, plus I was hangry, but if this were done at Chipotle or even Moe's, said person would be demoted on the spot. I just sat there, and waited for him to wrap everything up, and I left, hangry and with the same feeling of 'why do I keep doing this?' And that's the problem with Bubbakoos, for me anyway- I constantly go back and I am constantly disappointed, mostly because I do want the place to do well and stay here, but I am constantly left with that not being the case. read more

Like the other reviewers said it's very similar to chipotle... The food is good not amazing but they deliver (which is awesome) and are pretty quick to deliver... My only issue is if you use their app to order drinks they aren't the same ones they have in the store so every time they end up calling me to change it (and I really want orange soda!) I have to say though I LOVE the management and the young kids who work there. They are pretty new still but I think they will do just fine! read more

Basing my review after first time experience. Yes this place is similar to chipotle but with way for options. I got tacos with salt and pepper shredded chicken, lettuce, cheese, cilantro, pico, and ghost pepper sauce OTS. What I liked- good flavor ingredients fresh and delicious. Service was good. Loved the ghost pepper sauce and overall the amount of options available. What I disliked- the chicken wasn't shredded it was chunks so not what I expected. The tacos come with chips (didn't get salsa but not sure if that was suppose to be included) and they were a bit stale. Otherwise I'd go back and I think this place is worth trying. read more

First, I hate leaving a less than stellar review, but there are things which need mentioning. The Good: Food is deliciously tasty & tender! Very well prepared & ingredients taste nice 'n fresh! The manager (I thought I wrote name down, but I don't seem to have it on notes inside paper menu) is very helpful when placing online orders if you call w/a question. The Bad: Portions. If you don't specify beans & rice On Side, the selected "wrapper"...in my instance, quesadilla, will be full of the beans & rice w/not so much of the selected protein choice (beef, chicken, fish), my choice: Hibachi Steak & Shrimp. When I remember to note beans & rice on side, quite a big difference: Nice portions of steak & shrimp inside quesadilla - Nice, not plentiful. I think for plentiful you'd have to also select extra protein & there's no option for steak & shrimp - 1 or the other. Important to note the steak pieces are cut small & the shrimp are baby shrimp. When I forget, there's meager portions of steak & shrimp & (sometimes) plenty beans & rice inside; other times skimpy on all ingredients. It'll probably also depend on who's making 'em. read more

I went into this restaurant last week and noticed how hot it was in there. I figured something must have happened to their AC unit since it's been so hot. Well, today I went back and I couldn't even breathe especially with my mask on. It had to be 95 degrees in there. It's been over a week since I was there last time. So obviously they still haven't got it fixed. I feel bad for the workers in there because it was so hot and they have to wear their masks all day. They were all sweating profusely and looked like they were gonna pass out from heat stroke. There were no fans running either. I honestly don't think it's even legal to let those poor kids work in those conditions. I will be reaching out to NJ workplace dept. to let them know. Absolutely terrible, I will not be back to this restaurant just because the owners obviously don't care about their workers. read more

Staff is very attentive the second you walk in. The store is never packed so are very attentively engaging you in the menu. I think the choices are very good and different than the other chains. This location only just opened a few days ago. Popped in and wasn't disappointed. Very friendly staff who greet you and will make recommendations if you aren't sure what to order. Think Chipotle with a much more varied menu. Definitely some out of the box options here like the nacho cheese rice ball, Ghost Pepper chicken, etc.... Of course, when it was suggested to me, I had to go with the Ghost pepper shredded chicken burrito. Rice, beans chicken, ghost pepper sauce, jalapeno, pico and some guacamole for good luck. Great flavor and just enough heat. looking forward to trying some of the other items on the menu. If you like Chipotle, I think you will find this place to be a notch above them. Bought burritos for diner for the family on 5/5/16. Aside from the burritos being generally below average, woke up the next morning violently ill. Threw up the burrito and then bile the rest of the day, stomach cramps so bad that I couldn't stand up strait. Missed my first day of work in 10-years! Less than a day later, my daughter was also taken ill with the same issues. I generally do not like writing bad reviews but this is one case where it affected my family and crossed the line for me. You may have a totally different experience and you shouldn't necessarily take this review as a dire warning against eating here. It's a pretty casual place. They have a HUGE variety of food. I really love the atmosphere here which is one of the reasons why I choose to go here rather then chipotle. Although they are similar in many ways, bubbakoo's not only has WAY more variety then Bubbakoo's, but also has a WAY better atmosphere then it.
