Our food took over an hour to get. Water isn't free. The Chicken Al Pastor is amazing.

When my wife says " Do you want Mexican for lunch " I jump in the car , because I know we're coming to Freehold and Tacos TKO !!! I tend to always get the Carne Asada Burrito. $9.95 Which reminds me of my home in San Diego. The flavors are Spot on. You'll be lucky or really hungry to even finish it. Pair it with the Avocado Salad $8, for a cool, tangy, refreshingly good salad. I love this place and can't wait to come back.

Very very good tacos found in freehold, everything is fresh and nothing is to dry. Will definitely come and try other stuff on their menu. Keep in mind, your unable to buy 1 taco at a time.

WOW!!! Fresh, flavorful!! Delicious Mexican food! I ordered the birria tacos and literally was sipping the sauce! I ordered the avocado salad, and then ordered additional chips to finish the salad with because licking the plate clean would be frowned upon. As long as this place stays in business I will be a regular!

Alot of bang for your buck. Ordered the tacos pastor. The meat was well seasoned and I liked the home made tortillas. Definitely will return.

I went to Taqueria Tacos TKO on Friday afternoon for lunch with a friend. We were originally planning on going to the Mexican resturant across the street, but it was closed so we wandered into Taqueria Tacos TKO. I was pleasantly surprised by the variety of Mexican options customers have here! The decor was nothing too special but this is a nicer version of a chipotle style type of Mexican food. The food was definitely better than a chipotle as well! After we ordered we sat down, talking and catching up. Time seemed to go on and we were still not served our meals yet. The gentleman who took our order gave us complimentary chips & salsa while we waited for our meals which was very nice. I give this resturant an A+ for customer service. When we ordered, I decided to go out of my comfort zone and got a chicken huaraches with verde sauce. Normally, I would've just gone with the safe option of my usual chicken burrito, but this gives me more time to go back. My friend got a burrito with carne asada. My meal was HUGE, I had the other half to take back for dinner later that night. Although I did enjoy my meal I felt that I would've enjoyed the burrito better. But my friend tried mine and said it was very good. So it may have just been my preference in menu items. Both meals came out hot & fresh which was delicious. My friend ate his entire burrito and throughly enjoyed it, he told me that the meat in the burrito was very tender & full of flavor! Both meals were delicious. I'm not a big spicy foods person, so I thought both meals had just the right amount of spice, however my friend is a spicy food fanatic & he would've liked to have the food be a little more spicy! So if you like spicy food, I would recommend asking to add a little more spice or asking for some hot sauce on the side! Overall, we enjoyed both of our meals, staff was very accommodating! Would recommend!

-Portions are decent for their prices. You will definitely leave feeling stuffed -Food taste great -staff cares about your experience, they always offer free chips and salsa if they mess up -nice selection of Mexican beverages, from pre packaged sodas to homemade horchata -unique and colorful interior decor -easy parking on the street or behind in a public parking lot Bottom line, if you want a spot on place to satisfy your taco cravings this place is it.

Very nice spot to grab some tacos. Try the green sauce, it won't let you down. The chef was friendly and had good vibes.

Along Howell Township, you will find this Mexican restaurant within this gas station. I have been…read morewanting to go there ever since discovering that chicken mascot a while ago. Brand: 5/5 El Buen Taco and Grill fits within this gas station in Howell Township, and I will say that it fits well, for it contains so much potential. It manages to evoke the Mexican restaurant vibe, which would not have been effective if it did not bring me there in the first place. Inside, you will find many aspects of Mexican cuisine everywhere, from the beverages to the candies to the menu dishes. I did like the brochure design, though I am not sure if the establishment is undergoing a name change. I am going to miss the chicken mascot if it does. Website: 5/5 Coming to the opening page immediately sold me on this establishment, for you are greeted with the chicken mascot during the loading screen. The red-and-green color scheme exemplifies the website, and the functionality of the website feels slick with a few exceptions. You are also brought to the description of the eatery, along with the menu that brings you various meals, from breakfast to lunch, though the images at at the bottom of the page. They also offer catering. Wait Time: 5/5 I did not have to worry about waiting for my order, even though I abruptly said "No" when asked if I needed anything else with my order, just to search around. Ambiance: 4/5 The Mexican music plays over the radio with a welcoming volume. You will also find a coffee machine. There are also glass counters showing the various dishes. While every part of the interior seemed festive, I did not find a place to sit at. Food: 5/5 I ordered the Huevos a la Mexicana, which consists of scrambled eggs with onions, tomatoes, hot peppers, rice, beans, sides of hot sauce and green sauce, and a couple of rolls, with a Bocadin chocolate bar. Every part of the dish had a well-prepared texture, from the rolls to the ingredients. The rolls held their form every time I added the ingredients. While I did think onions had some crunchy texture, I nonetheless enjoyed the scrambled eggs, while the rice had the right amount of seasoning. For more than one year, I have been trying to keep up my bean intake, but I never would have thought that beans could be prepared so savory as the ones in this dish. That just might be my most favorite part of the dish, with the gravy somehow adding to the taste with every bite, whether eaten by themselves or within the rolls. Service: 5/5 The owner managed to take my order without any issues. Worth The Money?: 5/5 The authentic Mexican cuisine absolutely reflects El Buen's brand, from the website to the very plastic container with my order. While I did get my order on time and the food was appropriately cooked for the time it took, I did think that the establishment would have needed more people working there, even if it was a small, gas station eatery. After a day of snow, I will say that the Huevos a la Mexicana managed to warm and fill me up throughout the day, and the owner put a lot of work into it. The greatest contribution food can give you is if it gives you a positive feeling throughout the day. The dish managed to do that, despite a winter day or even no place to sit at inside. Nonetheless, the ambiance did not dissuade me from waiting patiently. If anything, it accurately reflected the overall brand. My order did come with a free soda or water, which I politely declined both offers. In which case, I will absolutely say that the order was well worth it. Rating: 5/5 Stars Small eateries that have large amounts of good tastes give me hope, and El Buen is no exception. This establishment has so much potential. I would consider it a third choice for Mexican cuisine, but I would always want to try more of the menu items. Recommend To... Anyone looking to immerse themselves with Mexican cuisine and treats (of course, specifically anyone looking to brush up their Spanish language knowledge). I also recommend El Buen to anyone who works on the road and need a quick, filling meal.

Before we entered the restaurant we were "distracted" by the vibrant ice cream store in the same strip. We walked in and were overwhelmed with all the ice cream options. Speaking to the owner, he said his family owns the EL Primo Plaza. We were on a mission for food, but will definitely visit the ice cream store in the future (our plan was after dinner, but dinner was so delicious and so filling, there was no room for dessert this time...better planning next time!). The restaurant is in a Mexican convenience store, but this is not your typical Mexican convenience store. They had so many options for everything. And they have this great bakery in the back before the restaurant. Everything looked SO good! In the back is a full sit down restaurant. We were seated and it is nicely decorated and has a view into the kitchen to watch them make the food. Our server promptly greeted us with some chips and what I think was a mole sauce. They were very tasty. We decided on a watermelon drink and shared mixed fajitas. The watermelon drink was fresh watermelon and it was very refreshing. The mixed fajitas came out piping hot, full of steak chicken and good sized shrimp. Sometimes at other places you get the baby cocktail shrimp, but these were a good size and nicely grilled and seasoned. You get a nice amount of sides to make your fajitas. There was so much food that we asked for extra shells at no additional cost! We thought we put a dent in the food, but we had so much still to take home. Everything was so fresh and seasoned well. The meat was nice and tender. There was a good amount of peppers and onions but it wasn't overpowered as sometimes also we have gotten fajitas elsewhere when there is mostly veggies and very little meat. We were absolutely stuffed by the time we left. Very good. We have added it to the list of places to return.
