Nothing too special about the burrito I got, other than how ginormous it was. They didn't skimp out on the serving size. I was able to eat half and save the rest for myself the next day. The guacamole was quite good and tasted fresh but I felt like the chicken was lacking some flavor. I should've ordered the quesadilla, as I was told by the person behind the counter that it was the most popular item, even if he said it was "more fattening." My mother and I ordered lunch To-go. We arrived around lunch hour. There wasn't a line which was great. The staff are nice and gave great suggestions. Floors are clean along with the tables. The work station with all the ingredients looked appetizing!! I ordered the the Double Shrimp Burrito bowl- the Shrimp was cooked hibachi style. No flavor. The white rice is out of this world AMAZING!!! I should've added, guacamole---of course I totally forgot. The pork is great! Thought we were going to new one on 537 in Freehold which was amazing a few days ago when we stopped in there. This place is...woah. I wish I read the previous negative comments. They unfortunately were spot on. Food looked old and tasted stale. Flys everywhere. Place needs a thorough cleaning first and then a regular daily cleaning program. Vibe was weird too. Walked in, no other customers in restaurant. It was veey warm inside. Either AC was off or not working which to me is a bad sign either way. TVs on but normal energetic music was off. Dead quiet. Worker had earbuds so he probably didn't care. I commented about it so he turned it on. This seemingly alerted a crew in the back to come out and help with our order (3 people) and the party of 6 that came in right behind us. Overall, unless you burn the food or it's old, you can't screw that part up. But they did. Unless you don't clean regularly, the place gets grungy which it was. There was an employee making a meal and eating out in the dining area while we were there which is odd since another review said same thing. I live in the Freehold area and have in the past few years loved and hated Bubbakoo's based on their management. Around 3 years ago now I loved their bowl and burritos! So filling and not stingy with the serving size either and unfortunately they changed management under a man named Gary and he was horrible. It got so gross I refused to go back. But I'm back from college and saw the under new management sign a few days ago and thought I'd try it out. Can I say thank you to new management!! Bubbakoo's has not disappointed! The GM last night, I believe his name was Steve, was a true professional. We called in after waiting for over an hour and a half when they told is that our food was to be delivered in 45 minutes. When we spoke to Steve he was very nice and accommodating. He told us that he would remake our order again so it will be warm and fresh and also offered us a free entree. What started out as a not so good experience turned out to be an awesome one. When the delivery got to our house it was still very warm and it was an enjoyable dining at home experience. I kNew this place was here but forgotten about it. Was looking for a quick light lunch. We had never been here. Best friendly service EVER!! The nicest guy explained how it worked and told us about proteins and toppings. Very clean place also and everything made fresh. The steak and shrimp are made to order. They have tacos,burritos, bowls,salads, nachos and quesadillas all made to your liking. Plenty of mild pico de gallo to hot home made sauce. Which was perfect. My friend got a steak burrito that was huge!! I opted for grilled shrimp tacos which came with chips and salsa. A little on the pricey side but so worth it. Tons of toppings like pinto or black beans, rice, quacamole, cheese, jalapenos, mango salsa which was so fresh n light. I can't wait to go back and try so many other things. Even my picky best friend was raving about it for hours lol. Definitely worth a trip if your in the area, surpasses "other" places similar to it. Came here with my Asst. Manager to see if he was ready to take my title as El Jefe. He gave it a good shot but maybe he can conquer the El Jefe Assistante next time. This place is awesome. I'm sure many will make comparisons to Chipotle and Qdoba bit besides the Tex Mex offering, there isn't much comparison. Quick review to start. Comparable food quality to Moe's up the road in Marlboro. I'd probably give this place the edge though. Better/wider selection of foods here. Value wise I ordered a Siracha pork burrito (not double meat) with general toppings. I would have no idea how overstuffed it would be with double meat because this was explosively big to start. For a negative chips are extra (included at Moe's/extra at chipotle). Tater tots and others are available here though and although I didn't explore the menu completely the friendly counter guys and food for the money makes this the early favorite to be my local go to burrito joint. It pains me to update my review here but OMG this place has taken quite a nose dive. I ordered the taco salad (as always)and there was just too much wrong with the dish for me to keep the 5 star rating. The rice was over cooked and flavorless actually the entire dish including the marinated chicken lacked flavor. The taco shell was inedible as it was way too greasy. And the curly fries tasted very old as if they were fried way too long. We ordered through the app which was very convenient. Unfortunately, it took over an hour and a half for the food to be delivered. I will give this place another shot because I know how good they can be when they are at their best, but one more slip up and i'm done with this place. read more

First timer. Took the family and friend from CA and we all got the taco salad with shell. The meat is good quality. Very good ingredients and tasty for sure!
