    Three beef tacos
    Bridget B.

We stopped in here on Friday night for a quick bite to eat. What I liked about the menu is that they have a ton of options for those that want tacos, burritos, quesadillas, salads, rice or cauliflower bowls and wings. We ordered three beef tacos, a chicken burrito, Buffalo cauliflower and a side of chips and guac. I give it four stars because I would have liked the food a bit hotter and the burrito wrapped a bit tighter. Overall, it's a great spot for a quick bite to eat with a variety of options. We will be back!

Chipotle has certainly created a shift in the quick-serve restaurant scene. Bubbakoo's is another entrant into this market space with a few minor changes, more of a combination of Chipotle and Moe's. Where Chipotle minimizes it's menu in an effort to streamline the process, Bubbakoo's has a huge selection in terms of the proteins/mains available. Once you choose your entree and protein, you work your way down the serving line, selecting additional toppings as you go. I went in for lunch today, and the place was absolutely jumping around noon. Seemed like a lot of people checking out the new joint, but there were a few return patrons that the servers recognized and acknowledged in line, something I took as a good sign for a place this new. Eavesdropping on the group ordering in front of me, I opted for a chiwawa (according to the menu board, a "lightly fried panko crusted cheezy rice ball covered in nacho cheese and topped your way") with grilled chicken, corn salsa, queso, jalepenos and Sriracha ranch. It was quite good, and incredibly dense. I could barely get through it all, and at $8.50 it seemed like a good value. My wife ended up having a kid's meal beef taco and a side of rice & beans, which ended up being a nice sized serving for lunch. She enjoyed both. So, Bubbakoo's will seem familiar yet slightly different for most diners. I think the fun may be in exploring the huge number of options available. The service was still a bit slapdash, albeit very friendly, and the to-go packaging was not assembled/packed very well, but these are small forgivable sins that can easily be chalked up to a new business still working out the kinks. While this place doesn't seem to be anything particularly special, I do think I'll be back. I hope they have better luck than the two restaurants that have occupied the same space this year.

this is seriously what they charged us $12 for and it didn't even have hot sauce

I wish I could add a picture. We ordered a $12 burrito and it was literally 4 inches long. Was this your idea of a joke? Were we pranked? Can you prank the money back into our pocket? It didn't even have the super spicy hot sauce that was advertised. Are the burritos supposed to be 4 inches long or do yall just exaggerate inches so much you thought it was actually 8 inches?

I would give it three stars and half stars if I could. The food was fresh, the shrimp and other ingredients but my rice was under cooked. It was a big order and I couldn't eat it all but it was ok. I went back to get a side of guacamole and it was 2.45 which is too much to me. This food is good for young adults on the go but I wouldn't make it a meal on a regular basis.

Located off Nottingham Way in Hamilton, Bombay Feast is a a fast casual type of Indian street food…read moreeatery. I've been there twice and can't in good conscience call it a restaurant as service (1.5/5) is the bare minimum, where you have to get up to get your own water, and aren't once asked if you want beverages or desserts. Nobody checks in on you to ask how the food is or if you want anything else, yet they still mandate a 12% service charge after some mystery 3% fee they impose on everything on the menu except their parathas (prior to calculating the tax and service fee). A scrupulous business adds any fees on the subtotal of the menu price, but here you wind up paying extra tax and service charge on the additional 3% which is tacked onto the menu price, which I assume is a credit card fee. Doing the math, they're collecting an extra 3% in both tax and service charge as well, so customer beware. You aren't given a check at the end of your meal, so you have to walk up to the front podium to pay on a tablet (not a fan of this practice), where you're given a few awkward seconds to stare at your bill, and unsuspecting customers won't have time to analyze the charges, and will likely wind up paying both the service charge and additional gratuity for the very minimal service provided. We've ordered various parathas (3.5/5), the chole bhature (4/5), butter chicken (2.5/5), pav bhaji dosa (3.5/5), and naan (3/5) over 2 visits. The parathas and pav bhaji dosa were excellent on one visit, but unreasonably spicy on the next visit, so they need to work on consistency of their spice levels. The chole bhature was good, and served with a massively sized bhature, which was greatly appreciated and more than enough for the chole provided. I would stay away from the usual North Indian food menu items as they're overpriced (above $20) and not that good compared to other Hamilton area Indian restaurants. The gravy for the butter chicken was underwhelming average, and not something I'd order again. Their wheelhouse for tasty food seems to be the parathas, dosas, and snack food/quick eats types of items. While the cook in the kitchen is decent, the lack of service and mystery charges really detracts from the overall experience, so I won't be back and would not recommend Bombay Feast to others. They really need to hire an additional person with customer service skills to attend to guests to ask if they want water/drinks, desserts, additional food items, and check in to ask how everything was. We had to proactively wipe down our dirty table, ask for additional utensils, and get our own water. On my 2nd visit, they took it upon themselves to add an additional gratuity on top of the service charge, which really rubbed us the wrong way as we analyzed their payment screen on their tablet and asked for a printed receipt; we noticed it a few days later when checking the credit card charge. They seemed genuinely apologetic about it and refunded us the extra amount via Venmo when we called them up to question it, but that really left a bad impression on us. I'd add this to my growing list of highly overrated Indian eateries popping up in NJ with a somewhat decent kitchen, but major disregard for proper customer service.

Recently I noticed a photo and review mentioning meat dishes, when I looked at the website they indeed have a small section devoted to carnivores, this brought them to the forefront of my list. After work on a Friday I grabbed a takeout here. Zarani Murgh(chicken!) aloo paratha and veg samosas. The order was nicely packed so I dare not disturb it until I was home. The paratha came in a med sized pizza box, the bread part was perfect and the filling very tasty and more than is usually included when I order this elsewhere. This was the best I've encountered in this area and will reorder next visit. The veg Samosa was good too, similar potato filling as the bread but with a few veggies. The chicken dish seemed to be tandoori but had been liberally covered in yellow curry. There was not much of a sauce and no rice was included. I used the paratha to scoop up pieces of the boneless and juicy white meat that had been bathed in the curry. There were also cooked onions that went nicely. The raita was tangy and thick. This was a very generous portion too. I didn't get a great look at the interior but it seems to have been updated from the last failed restaurant. Customer service was quick and friendly. I think it was wise of them to include a few non veg dishes. I'm planning to eat in next time but will also resort to takeout. There are several items I'd like to try, including a curry that features trout. I'm at 4.25 stars, with potential to go up.....

This isn't just a place to eat, it's the kind of old-school establishment that's been around long enough to have stories. You can feel the past in the wood-paneled atmosphere, the classic bar, and the sense that generations of locals have gathered here over good food and long conversations. There's a subtle throwback vibe that hints at Trenton's more colorful eras, the kind of place where, decades ago, important conversations might've happened over steaks and drinks rather than phone calls and emails. It has that timeless, no-frills charm: confident, comfortable, and unapologetically traditional. The food is solid, hearty, and satisfying, classic dishes done right, with portions that don't mess around. Service is professional and respectful, like they've learned over the years that consistency and discretion matter. You're treated well, but without any forced friendliness, just genuine hospitality the old way. If you appreciate historic spots with character, where the walls could probably talk and the traditions still matter, Homestead Restaurant is a must-visit. Five stars for keeping that classic Trenton legacy alive.
