TERRIBLE Service in Gastonia location. DONT GO. Waitress took order and brought drinks which was great. Then we sat and watched couples come in, eat, and leave right before our very eyes. Over and over again. I finally saw a manager and asked if she would check on our food since we had been waiting for 1 hour 20 minutes. She apologized and said sure. She then came back and said someone had just dropped all our food on the floor. LIE. She said the meal was on the house. We waited another 45 minutes and watched our waitress continue to serve other people food so we got up and went to another restaurant. We had been wanting to try this new place for a few weeks now but there were always people waiting outside when we drove by. Thought it must be good. Finally made it this week. The server was nice enough and made several menu suggestions when we asked. We decided on the onion ring appetizer and for dinner the classic burger and the shrimp poboy. We got a side salad with the poboy and fries with the burger. The onion rings did not come until later after we asked about them after waiting several minutes. The server said she thought they burned the first batch. The side salad came first. When the onion rings did come they seemed a bit under done. Everything was just "okay". Husband and I both ordered the Chipotle chicken and shrimp and were both very disappointed. My husband very seldom says something is ok so when I began eating I was just as disappointed. This is a dish we've both had previously and was very satisfied. This time my chicken was rubbery and there was no kick (spice) to the dish. I think I am done with Bubba's, the hit and miss isn't worth the 20 minute drive and the waste of money. Last month my husband was shorted on his wing order by 7 wings (count your wings ppl). This could've been a four star review if my waiter were more pleasant and if the appetizer were better. Starting with the waiter, when he walked up to the table he didn't speak he just stood there until I told him what I wanted to drink. It was very clear that he was not in the mood to be at work. I still left a tip hoping that would brighten his day but I was pretty much responsible for giving my own customer service. I ordered the fiesta dip and was disappointed. It's basically a can of Hormel chili with beans with melted cheese and toppings. I will say this though, The manager was very pleasant and our entrées were very fresh! We got our food in a very reasonable amount of time, the wait wasn't long, and when the food came it was piping hot. My son had the classic burger and fries and I had wings. The wings were great, but my goodness these people can make a burger! The fries were great, that's why they're not pictured because we ate them all LOL. The burger was juicy and delicious. The food portions were absolutely fantastic and the price was the least amount I have ever paid to get such a wonderful meal. Please try the sunrise burger if you like eggs and a double cheeseburger with sweet potato fries and honey mustard to dip into it it's not a mustard taste it's amazing.. We have been here twice since the dine-in was reopened. Made a call, got on a list, was texted within 10 minutes of checking in. Tried Bubba 33 for the first time last night. Take out of course. Our food was solid good! I had the traditional cheeseburger and cheese fries. Very good. Husband had the Stromboli he said it could of been baked a few more minutes but said the taste was very good. Son had the sunrise burger again very good. We will for sure add this to our rotation. Bubbas has really fallen off, me and my sisters went here for our monthly dinner and our server was the best but everything else was horrible. They had none of the drinks we asked for non alcoholic and alcoholic. My niece got wings and ranch and there was hair in her food. One of my sisters got wings and onion rings and her onion rings came out before her wings. Our drinks had way too much ice and tasted like all juice. We will never come here again. We ordered for the first time and the food was very good. Cold because of how long we had to wait but besides that each order had something wrong with it. I asked for no tomato and there would be one on there. Asked for broccoli and cane with fries instead asked for fries and cane with their hot fries. So sadly something was wrong with every order. I understand we may be partially open as a state during the COVID -19 pandemic, but we waited over an hour for a party of two and ended up leaving due to the long wait. This was our first time eating at this restaurant, or attempting too. We were not told a wait time and also after going back to the tent and asking they said they still had 15 parties ahead of us that were supposedly call aheads. I'm a really laid back guy but this was pushing my limit. We ended up going down the road to another burger place Bad Daddy's Burger Bar and walked right in. Great service and great and quick food. Let me first start by saying that the food here gets about four and a half stars...it is by far the beat burger I have had in the Charlotte area, hands down...and the wings are pretty good as well...I always ask for mine extra crispy and they have delivered on that so far. I have not triesd the pizza, but my neighbors really like it. I would also like to add that my wife and I have been about 8 times since they have opened and the first few times there were no issues whatsoever. However, the last few times there have been issues with getting our orders. We have been quoted times over the phone and show up just before the quoted time....and have had to wait an extra 30 mins twice....and the last time (Friday night) it was an EXTRA 70 minutes. Why quote 25 to 30 mins when it's actually gonna be 90 mins or longer? So on Friday, I pulled to the tent got my assigned spot and proceeded to park. I sat there as usual, but noticed that NO ONE in the lot was getting food. After about 15 mins or So, a couple of cars in the section across from me got food. Finally some one from our sectiokn got food and the car next to me asked her about their order...so I rolled down my window to hear what she was saying. She told them they were about 45 mins behind. I asked if I heard thatt correctly, she replied Yes, and I said thank you. She then asked if she could get them some drinks....which they did...and she walked away as I asked if I could get one as well.....apparently I was not allowed.to have one. In grand total it took over 90 minutes for me to get my order of 2 burgers and a dozen wings.....sitting in the parking lot for about an hour. I can also say that my neighbors have had similar experiences. I would have to say that there are some management issues, as in the beginning the staff was friendly comiing to your car, getting you parked and coming to your car to take your order. Now the staff is very nonchalant bringing your food and returning with your payment. Like I said in the beginning....the food is very good....it's a shame that the device has gone way down hill in a very short time read more
