I love taking my 2 labs here to self wash. The tubs are a good size and there is plenty of room. The staff is friendly and if you need extra supplies they do not hesitate to get it for you. They used to have oatmeal shampoo for the dogs in the self wash area but I haven't had it the last 3 times I was there to wash my dogs. My labs have sensitive skin and that shampoo works the best. They need to bring that back. Despite that though this place is great. read more

I really like them! My senior dog is difficult, he can be snappy and reactive with certain people but Jean has done beautifully with him. They are organized and remind you of your appt and they are timely in that your dog gets in and out in a reasonable amount of time. It seems very "stress free" as the dogs who are waiting to be picked up and/or groomed are content and comfortable. If you have a DOODLE MIX OF ANY KIND, STAY AWAY. If I could rate a lower star, I would. I've had many experiences here, that were less than pleasant as I have an active labradoodle who has 3 kids that he plays with daily. His curly hair, very easily gets matted, and Bubbles ALWAYS takes the time to shame me- as a dog owner for this. I thought that was strange, but continued to patronize as I am a small local business owner myself, and can appreciate the fact that Bubbles is in my neighborhood. However the INSANE PRICING combined with the lackluster and elitist customer service, was wearing thin. However, today's experience was different. I called ahead of time to schedule, letting the scheduler know that my dog needed to be groomed, and that he was very matted from some fun weekends in the snow. When I came in (actually, accommodated a last minute request from Bubbles asking to come in 30 minutes earlier) I reiterated what was scheduled for Rocco- a grooming and de-matting. YES! Says customer service rep, Jordan. Not 2 minutes later, I get a phone call asking for me to come pick Rocco up as whoever scheduled the appointment made it for a bath and de-matting, and that was not possible due to Rocco's matting. I was confused as I approached the appointment with FULL clarity, and the scheduler should have asked follow up questions, based on the information I gave them, to book an appointment appropriate for a dog who has matting. Nonetheless, there was NO plan B offered, even after a phone call with Jordan, after I kindly spoke of my frustrations, she offered me a forced "well, yeah... sorry" I also, informed Jordan that my business would surely be lost, in which case, that was ok with her, and she took that time to inform me, that they were VERY busy, anyhow. Although I am glad for the success of other businesses, it makes me sick to my stomach knowing there are businesses THRIVING so epically, that they can afford to be disrespectful, rude and not accommodating, such as Bubbles, while other businesses with more kindness, sincerity and compassion as barely getting by. I even gave Jordan an opportunity to make it right (mistakes happen) which was met with "we can shave your dog to the skin". So I let her know that was not a helpful option, and I felt it was my responsibility to share my experience on Yelp, so other FAMILY DOG owners do not have to go thru this, which she was ok with. Knowing that there are so many OTHER dog grooming options, I would NEVER recommend Bubbles, as apparently their business is thriving so substantially, that customer service is not a factor here. The OUTRAGEOUS prices match Bubbles OUTRAGEOUS snobbery. What a shame. read more

One of our dogs is a senior and very temperamental but she manages to look after him very well. She is very detail oriented and meticulous; my dogs always come out immaculate. . Our Bichons also love her and are always in a good mood when we pick them up from Jean at Bubbles Pet Spa. We've tried other grooming companies other groomers and the dogs just don't seem as happy on their return. Jean does a great job of de-tangling our Bichons (which can be quite a chore), and grooms them just the way we like them. She's also very accommodating with our schedules. I've been taking my dog to Bubbles for the past two years or so, maybe longer, and I have to say Bubbles is great! It's the only place I'll take my dog to. She's a rescue mutt, but they treat her like a queen. :-) They're always nice, do a good job, and I love that they give you an actual appointment. The groomers always take the time to ask me if there's anything specific or special I want done. I really appreciate that they take the time to listen and when I pick up my dog, always ask me if it's what I wanted. They work really hard to please their customers. I think the owner is there sometimes grooming or working the front desk, which says a lot. I recommend Bubbles...Isela, one of the groomers, ROCKS! read more

Bait and switch? I got a coupon for a free wash at Bubbles Pet Spa, so I took Dodger in for a bath. Turns out it's for the Hydro pet bath (which the staff person talked down), not a 'real bath' where they do the nails, ears, etc. For full service it was $38. I asked if the $20 coupon could be credited towards the full service...after a phone call to the mgr I was told no, it's either one or the other. I have my own business and know that it would have been smarter to let me have the discount instead of upselling me to something almost 2x the cost of the Hydro bath. A happy customer is better than one who left feeling tricked. Dodger still needs a bath. On the good side, they have a cute name and lots of interesting doggy snacks. read more

Took my dog for a furminator treatment. I have the tool at home but it's very exhausting work so I decided that for once I'd spend the $$$ and get it done, and then keep it up myself. It's supposed to be a package including the full bath procedure (a bath with Furminator shampoo, THOROUGH - girl on the phone described in detail how they brush for an hour and then some if necessary - brush out using the Furminator spray to loosen hair, nail clipping, ear cleaning, paw hair trim, teeth brushing, etc), so I thought it's stiff but I'll spend the $52(!!!). At drop-off I was told it would take "a couple of hours"; which I had expected, given the (described in detail) more than an hour of brushout alone, plus the bath & grooming. To my utter surprise, not even 1 1/2 hrs later I already got the call that my dog was ready for pickup...that already seemed really short to me. When I picked her up she looked like her flanks, back and butt were brushed out but anything from the shoulder blades forward looked like nothing had been done (I know what it looks like, I usually brush her out with the Furminator tool for an hour myself, and she doesn't have a "lion mane" anymore after). She did smell good...well, like that spritz they put on dogs (I don't because that's just a cover up masking the fact that your dog needs a wash) but she didn't really look washed, just brushed out. Her coat looked dull, not like after a wash (I usually wash her myself, I know what she looks like clean), she also didn't feel really clean or smell really clean (besides the spritz smell). Like I said, she still had her "mane" around her neck & shoulders, the main reason I brought her there (brushing out her flanks, back & butt is easy...thinnest coat!), her chest and front of neck were the same as before. (I went back to ask what shampoo they use...they don't even use the real Furminator stuff, just some other deshedding shampoo - no bueno!) Her nails were clipped, but apparently with dull clippers as they have splinters; they took barely anything off (another reason they splinter), and all four dew claws were untouched. Her ears were not cleaned (still smelled like ear & had the brown ear gew), her teeth not brushed, her paw hair not trimmed... WHAT DID I PAY $52(!) FOR?! No wonder it didn't even take 1 1/2 hrs... I will definitely be practicing "do it yourself again" and wish I would have invested the $16 for the bottle of (real) Furminator shampoo & spray, given the neighbor's kids $10 to brush her out with the tool instead of throwing the $52 out of the window (especially nowadays when things are tight anyway). We have taken our dog here several times. bringing him home, a few days later, we discovered he had fleas. This was the first time he had ever had them but thought maybe it was just a coincidence that he had just been groomed at Bubbles and thought maybe he got them elsewhere. We treated him and all was well. Now, after a few days after bringing him home AGAIN from Bubbles we just discovered he has fleas again! I do not think this place is keeping their place clean enough. After paying $100 for grooming and then another $100 on Frontlne I don't think I can trust taking my dog to this place again! Way too expensive to end up with fleas!!! read more

So i've taken my friend's dog here and they did a fantastic job, cut and wash for only $40. a couple weeks later i decide to bring my little guy in for a full service job. i brought in pictures and told them specifically to trim his tail fur and cut his dew claws-to which they did neither. they also charged me $49, that's almost 10 bucks more! later that night my baby otterpop was scratching like crazy and wouldnt stop so i thought he picked up fleas. I put frontline on him and thought i was done. no way...he kept itching and scratching and looked completely miserable so i knew it was probably because he still had soap on his skin (he has sensitive skin). i rinsed him off and the first cup of water that touched his skin flooded the sink with soapy bubbles. wtf?!?! they didnt rinse him off at all! by this point i was completely livid and exhausted because it was about 4am..im never bringing my baby back to this hellhole. avoid this place at any cost because i have never seen my dog so miserable after coming back from the groomers. the one star is for the fact that they did a good job on my friend's dog. minus 4 for the bad job they did with my babycakes then charged me 10 dollars more (when the two dogs weigh the same). ---------------------------------------------update-------------------------------------------- Took him back because I really like how my friend's dog comes out looking afterward. This time I specifically told them my dog had sensitive skin, showed them more examples of previous cuts of my dog, and he came back to me looking so handsome. I basically had to be really stern and sort of rude to get it through their heads what I wanted. After that I've brought him here multiple times. Really is a hit or miss, which is why I'm leaving it at 1 star. One time I got him back with his fur cut with an electric razor. WTF. I always specifically ask to scissor trim him, and he's a cairn terrier mix. You dont do that to cairns. The last and final time I brought my munchkin they didn't trim his fur at all, even though I paid and asked for it. They barely brushed his fur out bc his fur was still wavy (it does this when he's either dirty or not brushed out and blow dried). I'd rather not bring him back and rely on crossed fingers for a good job. Also, these days my friend's dog comes back looking over cut with a lack of attention to detail. read more

Will never come here again! Way over priced and they're jobs are hit or miss. The last time I came in my poor baby was in the cage looking miserable. She wouldn't even come out. The attendant kept yanking on her to come out but then I noticed that her collar was stuck on the cage wire. She was stuck in that position the whole time! Obviously these people are careless, and they didn't even feel bad or apologize. If I'm paying $114 a month to get my babies groomed, I would hope that you take care of them. NEVER again! read more

Bubbles has always managed to get my pooch in even if I call same day.. not that I suggest you do that to them ;-). Beside the ease of making appointments they've always done a great job! Our family has been down in the gutter not knowing if he were safe, lost or if he passed away. Eloisa took it upon herself to make 100 flyers and put them all around Redondo with a picture asking if anyone knew our family member. God Bless you. You brought back our baby!! I have been going to bubbles when they first opened and the manager was always a bit off and very rude unless she felt like being nice. I bring my dog in for the self grooming regardless how friendly they are not. I came in with my boy who is a service dog in training and we were standing at the counter for a while waiting for Sara the manager to do what ever it was she needed to do before I used the tub. This woman walked in and came right behind me and as trying to per my dog telling me he saw her like it was alright and I asked her to please not approach him and she got funny about it telling me it was just fine he saw her and I had no idea who she even was and instead of asking if it was ok. And then right in front of me Sara the manager apologizes to the woman for what I said! Very unacceptable and I think she forgot I was a paying customer also and he was my dog. Also while I was there washing my dog that same day from the time I walked in and the time I was done Sara was working on a small to medium dog and she had that poor dog tied up to the cutting table while she took her sweet time doing other things instead of grooming him and drying him and getting him down, if that was my dog i would have been very upset. Be very careful when leaving your dog here you have no idea what goes on while they are there waiting, most of the staff is very cold and have no social skills. Then when I told Sara I was going to talk to the owner she actually called me personally and told me she thought it would be best for me to not come back. First of all I go to self washing and have no conversation with this woman at all except she felt a need to treat me disrespectful in front of another customer for something she should have just stayed out of and she had no business calling me personally it's not her business she's an employee!!!! read more

The staff at Bubble Pet Spa is awesome! I've taken my dog to all of their locations (Torrance, Manhattan Beach, and Long Beach) and never cease to be incredibly pleased. They are friendly, courteous, and efficient. They take care of my dog as if she is their own! My most recent visit was to get my dog taken care of after she got sprayed point-blank by a skunk (she is a bit too curious at times!). After a drop off bath with the de-shedding shampoo, our lab has been shedding noticeably less each time. The decrease in hair and vacuuming is worth 5 stars alone! Well I went there the other day for a self service...I've been to a few of these but I felt uncomfortable there..I had to keep bugging the help for help..The water pressure kept changing from high to low (thought it had to do with other using it) and the temperature kept changing from warm to hot to cold..(not happy) I had to make sure I wasn't burning, or freezing my poor dog. The owner/manager finally came over (very nice btw) and told me how sorry he was and yes something was wrong.. He did give me a free wash for next time and I will use it..but the part I didn't like at all was the fact that before I went into the stall they cleaned it? Are you kidding me? It was a mess other dog hair all over the place. I had to have them come in and re-clean (or clean) it before I would wash my dog.. I went to use the brushes...GROSS!!!! I will be bringing my own tools.. I told the manager/owner about what a mess it was and about the brushes..I figured he needs to hear this and he thanked me..
