Alright, NON-VEGAN checking in here. Take everything I say with a carnivorous grain of salt. This place feels like you just walked into someone's house. The staff are probably a vegan family, or at least that's what I'd assume. They were nice. Can't say anything bad there. They did their best to accommodate our imperfect Spanish with some English menus. We started off with a tapa. Only one, though, because the tapas were all around 8 euro. We received five different types of dip ranging from black olive paste to hummus. I liked four out of five. Nothing crazy delicious but good to snack on while talking and drinking sangria. Oof. The sangria. It's goooood. Mine came with red wine, sherry, orange, cinnamon, and some other ingredients of wonder. It was warm and sweet and the perfect strength. They don't mess around with their sangria. My friends and I all got the Bruno sandwich. It was okay. I didn't love the yellow spread that came on it (some sort of bitter mustard?) and the sandwich was very messy. It was very filling, and the burger patty consisted of some sort of lentil base. I could tell it was trying to be meat. For a vegan meal, I didn't exactly feel light and energized from the sandwich. Overall, I was disappointed with the food. I'm sure this is a vegan paradise. They have vegan tiramisu and vegan brownies and probably vegan everything. But I thrive on steak and eggs and everything dairy. Oh my god, a vegan tapas and sangria bar in Barcelona?! Did I win the lottery or something?! Just came in for a snack, but I looooved the spicy patatas bravas. They were smothered in a chipotle aioli and tasted so decadent. I also went for the bread with tomato and it was the freshest I'd had in Spain. They had a whole menu of different types of sangria. I went for a white wine and limoncello concoction which was just heavenly. The best part about it was that it wasn't far off the beaten track at all. We were exploring a touristy area by the beach and this was just a stone's throw away, down a charming alleyway. Yelp app has to be one of the best apps ever created. Bar Celoneta is a hidden gem in Barcelona. Located down a small side street Bar Celoneta is small and quiet but it has a really relaxing vibe. While the menu is fairly small the vegan paella is nothing short of amazing. We just stumbled upon this place. How lucky we were! It has a huge Vegan selection and large portions at low prices. I had a tapas selection as a starter (artisan bread sticks, houmous, black olive tapenade, romesco sauce and another dip) which was great and enough for two people. For the main I had the "red burger" which was lovely . Perfect size without being too much food. Cocktails (and mocktails) were also great and the owners were friendly and very quick at serving. I was in Barcelona last weekend for a short stay and stumbled upon this amazing vegan/veggie restaurant. So I went there twice in the two days I was staying in Barceloneta. The first day I had a lovely vegan burger, the second day I checked out the vegan tapas (tempeh skewer, zucchini towers with vegan cheese)... simply amazing. My fiancee is vegan so we had to stop by here after all the great reviews. It definitely did not disappoint! First, the drink list was solid. 15 options for sangria? Non-alcoholic sangria? Craft beers? Semi-full liquor bar? Yes, yes, and hell yes. Second, the atmosphere is a stereotypical vegan/hipster joint. The wait staff was great (other than forgetting my drink this one time out of 5). They had English menus and spoke English well. I knocked off a star simply because the alleyway that it sits in is kind of creepy and dark. It's only 2 streets away from the main road and the beach, but it still felt a little creepy. Definitely don't walk it alone, but you have to go here if you get the chance. read more

This was one of them we had shortlisted.. a little far away from the touristy las Rambla area, this little spot is closer to the beach.. we had our very first vegetarian paella here and were not disappointed! This place has potential - the idea of a sangría bar is brilliant and their concoctions, at least as listed on the menu, are inspired and whimsical. Unfortunately, the drinks we had were ruined by being too sweet. I know sangría is "supposed" to be sweet, but these drinks would have been delicious if they had had more of a balance (one drink tasted like pure rose-flavored syrup...an ingredient not even on the menu!). The saddest part of this bar though is its veganism. You're going to be sorely disappointed when all of the "fish" and "shrimp" and "calamar" have quotation marks around them because they're actually composed of some soy product made to look (and, I shiver to think of it, taste) like these fruits de mer. Ugh. Anyway, if you're into that sort of thing, maybe this is the place for you. We were sad to find no vegan alternative and left promptly after our sugar shots. read more

We just left. We were vacationing and found this place on yelp and walked down here because they had a Yelp check-in offer. There were two other tables, we showed the waitress the check-in offer and she said it was for yesterday. I told her no it says I can use it today. She said she would ask, she never returned, there was nobody else working. Two people walked in and she started waiting on them. How rude and not a good way to do business! It's a little bit difficult to discover because it's located in one of the interior streets of Barceloneta but it's worth to visit, expecially on weekends for Brunch, tasty omelette and quality buffet. The Sangria is AMAZING. It honestly might be the best sangria I've ever had in my life. We started off with potatoes as the tapas. They were good! Nothing superb about the potatoes but they did the job to help satisfy the hunger before the paella came out. If you're a vegan, the paella is phenomenal. It has great flavor. However, as someone who was expecting a typical paella just with vegan ingredients, it wasn't my favorite.
