I enjoyed my visit to Buc-ee's on Sept 5th 2023 and it was Labor Day Monday. The store was extremely busy and the gas lines were all full with cars. The food I got was a turkey wrap and some potatoe chips for my ride to Jacksonville Fla. The Turkey wrap was delicious. All the things I heard on Social Media were not a lie. It's the "Gas Station" God would build in Heaven. Everyone should go and experience Buc-ee's once in their lifetime. I can't explain my amazement. My 1st visit left me stunned. Hot sauce, coffee, clean & shiny bathrooms... In a gas station! Grills, singing staff, a mascot taking photos. More pumps than I'd ever seen before. We love this place...most of the time! If you've never been, I would highly recommend going. That said, today we had to return a pair of pants that my daughter bought my husband for Christmas. We asked the staff at the checkouts who were rude, wouldn't look us in the eye, and simply said no. We went looking for a manager and found Riley and Kyrstin who were beyond helpful! The pants obviously had a hole due to poor manufacturing , were still being sold. Kyrstin took the time to look up the sale and make the exchange. Thanks for great customer service, Kyrstin and Riley. Hope the other staff (a middle aged blonde woman and a younger man with a bun) have a better understanding of how to handle these situations. read more

When I say this is the Disney World of gas stations I 1000% mean that this is THE Disney World of gas stations. This fine facility screams hallelujah when you walk in. Not only are you greeted upon your arrival right through the door, but you feel an instant boost of serotonin swooping in your brain. CLEANEST bathrooms ever. BEEF JERKY everywhere and SO MANY FLAVORS. FRESH ROASTED NUTS - SO MANY NUTS! The brisket is FIRE FLAMES and so is everything else. My boyfriend and I spent over $400 here and went twice on our road trip because we were that addicted. There are so many great options for gifts as well! Staff is super friendly and helpful. We stopped at 2 separate locations on Christmas Eve 2022 and it was super busy but super fun! The first location had a line in the bathroom that moved quickly. The bathroom was clean and the customers were pleasant. The staff were very friendly and the checkout lines were moving super quickly. Some people were not listening when asked to move to another register for service. I had to go back a second time and again the line was ridiculously fast - no wait! The food was delicious! The fries were hot, fresh and lightly salted. The chopped brisket tasted like more and I got another one. read more

We decided to take a road trip from Charlotte to Florence ,SC to visit the infamous Buc-ee's. The place was busy! However it was organized and not chaotic. After 2 hr drive I needed to nearest restroom. I detest using public bathrooms. Initially, the line was approximately 50 people deep! But as I mentioned earlier it was ORGANIZED! The line moved quickly (about 5 mins) as the attendant monitored each stall as it emptied ensuing cleanliness and calling for next in line!! Okay the store carried EVERYTHING!! My mother visited the Florida location and they were short or out of most popular items. Fortunately, the SC location was good to go! We tried the brisket, triple meat sandwich, beaver nuts, as well as purchased souvenir soda filled cups. At check out, same organization and were immediately checked out! My husband decided to buy gas, as it was approximately 20 cents less per gallon than Charlotte. Great day out!!!! read more

I don't see what all the hoop- la is about. It's like walking into a Walmart store the weekend before Christmas. Store is packed with people. I had a brisket sandwich and it was smeared with way too much barbecue sauce. I wanted ice tea but they have no lemons ( come on, this is the south!) so I settled on a bottle of water. Nowhere to sit so you have to eat in your car. Best feature of the whole place was clean restrooms. It's fine for a gas station but otherwise not so much. read more

It's great because it's Buc-ee's but the customer service is horrible. I travel for work constantly and normally have a great experience at all the Buc-ee's except this location. The employees are very rude, and it's surprising that the culture is already this toxic at a fairly new location. If you are going to have employees that are front-facing to your customers, and they are wearing masks make sure they can be understood through the mask. Also, please explain to your younger employees that customers are the key to the success of any business. ALL customers should be treated with respect not an attitude, a gum pop, and a roll of the eye. If you're expecting a great customer service experience at this location prepare to be disappointed. read more

This was an eventful evening filled with torrential downpours and dangerous unpredictable lightening. Out of the darkness and into this wonderful world called Buc-ees. Now this particular location is smartly marooned in sight of I-95 as a beacon to the worn down, travel sick family begging for a clean restroom,good food,and a little stretch. Did I say that the city Florence S.C. should be proud of this incredible location , and this communities well trained, courteous staff. My frequent trips from Georgia to North Carolina and back gives me the chance to write this review as a satisfied customer. I would have given this business five stars, but I feel when you visit that you will see according to what day and time you visit​​​ how extremely overcrowded it can be. But you know what ? First timer. And we went at noon on a Saturday ...... there had to have been A thousand people there!!!! That was the crazy. Everything was cool. We had brisket sandwiches and a chopping block sandwich ( amazing deliciousness). Buc-ees chips, fresh and hot. Lots of neat little stuff to buy for any occasion. And of course bucees merchandise. We spent over an hour there and didn't see it all! The restrooms were very nice. My mom is handicapped and the staff was awesome !!! Opened a huge private bathroom for just her. This place is a sheetz on steroids!!!! You gotta go read more

I love Buccee's, being from Texas and all, but after today, not so much. The return policy is absolutely bogus. I don't want to say don't buy here, but beware of your purchases. On the website it says for returns to ask for a manager. It doesn't say anything about any type of return policy. Neither does it say much on the receipt. I had bought a bag of nuts that were candy coated. I wanted to give them a try but after the first one, they were just too difficult to bite into. When I went back to the same Buccees 4 days later, I asked for the manager, thinking they would allow me to swap it out for another, but instead she told me "We can't return it because it's been opened and we can't resell it.." I'm sorry, what about customer satisfaction??? I've never known a Texas Buccees to turn away people. Very disappointed in Buccees in Florence, especially because its just not like the Texas ones. Buyer beware of your purchases. read more

It's basically a food court. Sorry...they don't allow 18 wheelers or bobtail trucks on the property. I get it,but I don't like it. It's Un-American in my opinion. That being said,this was a decent experience. Some of the staff is friendly and others are just doing their job. Ok...you'd think making $18 to start they would be a little happier. The guy working at the fudge station was extremely outgoing and friendly. The cashier's were about 50/50 The Bbq sandwich was ok. Got one sliced and one chopped. Brisket was ok,but it's certainly not up to par considering it's 'TEXAS' Bbq. A little salty. A little dry. Not huge portions. Again,it wasn't bad,just not great. Lots of other food choices like burritos and pastries including Kolach's....which can be typically filled with fruit or even sausage and cheese . Will hit those next time. Also lots of toys,candy and SC souvenir's. Handbags,wallets etc. Basically something for everyone. It's touristy and big and bathrooms are spotless. It's kind of a unique place. It's supposed to be the biggest one yet. I'm sure that won't last long. If you get a chance I'd recommend you stop in. Sure to find something you like or want. Cool place for the kids! read more

This place is total chaos!!! We stopped to do the whole tourist thing and to fuel up both car and humans. Totally disappointed to find out we only have to stop again just to get a diet Mountain Dew. Beware buc-cees does not carry Pepsi products. A big store like that and they limit there drink choices. This store is different than the one in Kentucky which was much nicer. Coming back from the beach after visiting our daughter, granddaughter and son-in law we wanted to try the Buc-ee's experience. This is one of those places you try once and then after that once you've seen it there is no need to go back as it will always be the same. I agree with the reviews that prices on most things here are high. The jerky bar has lots of types and flavors of jerky, but at $33-36 a pound that was a hard pass. Same for the bags of jerky priced at $9 for every 4 ounces. We thought the brisket sandwiches were good but it was $19 for two sandwiches and two large teas. Also a major drawback is that is as large as this place is with all the food they serve there is no place inside or outside to sit down and eat so we had to have our lunch in my SUV. Another thing the reviews are accurate on are the people inside acting like zombies going in every direction, cutting you off ect. We waited to get our sandwiches while a woman blocked them carrying on a conversation with someone behind the counter. I also had to wait to get my tea while some old woman just stood there blocking the tea and she wasn't even getting any, she was just standing there, so I finally just had to push my way past her. Also when I was using the restroom, some idiot kept banging on the door of the stall even though it was locked which indicated outside that it was occupied because he had left his cell phone in there. SMFH!! This was on Tuesday 9/27 around noon and it was still way to crowded for my taste and the daughter says if you hate crowds don't go on a weekend as it is beyond crowded then. We got some sugar free chocolate fudge which we thought was good. The restrooms were clean. We got gas 8 cents cheaper at a Wal-Mart Marketplace near our daughter's apartment than here. Overall, been there, done that. I'm not saying we will never stop in here again, let's just say stopping here is not a top priority on our list anymore. read more

My family and I stopped at the Florence SC store Sunday. While I was amazed at the variety of items they had everything is not as it seems. I bought a red Christmas shirt and when I got home I tested to see if it was colorfast and it faded pretty bad. I paid almost $20 for a shirt that fades and red no less. I would imagine the green ones do also. I feel like I took a $20 bill and tossed it in the wind. read more

As someone who's never been a Buc-ee's and decided to stop in Florence, it was PACKED! The bathrooms were very clean and food was great!! Good food to just pickup and go on a road trip.
