This place was crazy! First time visiting. It's on the 95. North or Orlando. Lots of traffic. This is a huge gas station. Parking was a shit show and the store is chaotic! The Buc-ee's craze is definitely alive and well in St. Augustine, OMG what a mad house I stopped in to fuel up but my real motive was to check this location out. After filling up with regular at $3.09 a gallon I locked my vehicle and headed inside, this place looked like Walmart on "Black Friday". If you were looking for a visual example of a cross-section of America I recommend you start here. As the crew tending the BBQ counter worked to build the Texas BBQ sandwiches the line continued to grow, the sandwiches disappeared as fast as they could make them I witnessed serval people filling their handheld shopping baskets and waiting for more like the brisket supply chain was about to collapse. I guess the novelty has worn off for me it's like going to the same amusement park everyday I mean I can only ride the merry go round just so many times before nausea sets in. It appears the layout of the store is setup perfect to let the kids run free unattended there's no doubt this little beaver is additive to some. I finally found my way to the exit as the crowd kept building, now I know what it's like for a salmon to swim upstream the rush of kids was a little daunting this large, amphibious rodent maybe on its way to replacing the world's most famous mouse (Mickey). I applaud the founder his empire is rapidly expanding across the country although it seems he's got all the bases covered, I hear rumors that this is just the tip of the iceberg, the beaver fans want more, more than being known for America's Cleanest Restrooms and for not allowing 18-wheelers to enter it's property and of course the brisket sandwiches. The cashiers at this location were extremely rude and made this trip wholly unenjoyable. The cashier yelled at me to come over and then moved registers immediately leaving me confused. They were already pushing me out of the way and calling the next customer while I was trying to quickly grab my things, and they did not even give me a bag. Another new experience during our Florida trip, we were introduced to Bucee's and happened to stop by this location early in the morning.  Originating in Texas, apparently these used to be rest stops/gas stations for trucks and then it evolved into much more.  They still offer gas and are a rest stop of course but upon entering you see a large assortment of things from Bucee's themed clothing, memorabilia, all kinds of food, a bakery and more. To our surprise, we learned that Bucee's is known for having one of the cleanest bathrooms (so of course we had to see for ourselves) and there are staff members there constantly cleaning!  It was in fact quite clean. While surveying the wares, our group ended up with some Bucee's gear and we got some hot breakfast food to go as well.  They had breakfast tacos and biscuits sandwiches.  It's a bit tough to ask for customizations since different items are being pumped out constantly but I was able to get a sausage biscuit with no cheese.  I was pleased that it was warm and other folks liked their breakfast tacos. Definitely a fun place to take a break and better than your average rest stop.  We ended up going to one of their other locations when we passed through Orlando and both places were consistent from a quality perspective. read more

Excellent location and Buccees store. Plenty of gas pumps. Clean bathrooms and main floor. All kinds of interesting items to buy. Staff is friendly. I found some healthy options for breakfast and snacks like protein bars (Built Bar) and toaster pastries (Legendary). They even had a childhood classic, Dunkaroos! Really cool. Update: Went a year later and same great experience as before only that now we came with our little one and she got a plush Buccee beaver. This mega complex is one of the two that I know of in Florida. It's a destination by itself....there are large billboard signs telling people that the store is soon approaching as you travel on the highway.... When you get off the highway, there's a line of cars waiting to get in and park. As I walked inside the store, a bunch of ladies greeted everyone walking into the store with a happy and cheerful hello or good morning !!!! I could not pass the Wall of Jerky....Buc-ee's is world renowned for their jerky and you can get them pre-packaged or by the pound at the "jerky deli counter". They have mild and spicy versions for those who like a bit of a kick in their snacks... I got a sausage egg and cheese croissant, which for $3.99....it was not a bad deal...it was a large stuffed croissant...the sausage had a nice spice to it, not too spicy, but enough to give the sandwich a nice touch...the egg and cheese were a bit on the bland side..... Like most American stores, the croissant had more of a "bread" texture than a croissant texture...still not a bad snack for under $4. First time at this location and just like the Daytona one this is a super neat and cleaned spot. Came here to charge up the Tesla and was smooth, they had a few spots for charging and since I was there took the time to go inside and get a bite to eat and use the restroom. The restroom here is spotless and huge. Never have to worry about it not being cleaned. I feel like the pricing for the items there are pretty fair. I got a pulled pork sandwich for about $8 and a drink for a buck. The staff were very friendly and were efficient. Always a great spot to stop at on a road trip. read more

I don't think there are enough words to describe Buc-ee's. This place is the best roadside stop anywhere. Regardless of the location I think each Buc-ee's has the same type of items and atmosphere. Each time I've been I'm always greeted when I walk in and then it's a chaotic mess of people walking around trying to take it all in. It's quite an experience. You can get just about anything your heart desires on your road trip at Buc-ee's. If you are craving fresh smoked meats that make your mouth water, they have it, if you want fresh made fudge in all sorts of flavors, they have it. If you are wanting beef jerky, then this is the place for you. There is a meat counter like you'd find at a large super market lined with various types of jerky. All sorts of flavors and meat types. There is fresh roasted and candied nuts, fresh fried chips, a bakery, burritos, a wall of prepackaged Buc-ees's snacks and nuts. There are rows of hot sauce, cold packaged items like meat, cheese, crackers, even healthy veggies if you are so inclined. There are desserts like peach cobbler and banana pudding. I can't even describe it all. There is probably 50-100 soda dispensers, no joke! I haven't even gotten to the coolers, clothes, fire pits, pool/beach toys. Buc-ee's is truly overwhelming and fun to enjoy. I always fine so much that I want and don't need. It's a roadside haven that cannot be passed up. read more

Although I am writing a late review, I actually visited this Buc-ee's on opening weekend! It was my first ever visit and I do believe it lived up to all of the hype. It is super conveniently located right off the highway and I love that this location has about 3-4 entrances and exits to make getting in and out slightly easier. Very clean bathrooms, delicious brisket sandwiches, and more snacks than you would know what to do with make this an excellent stop. I was tempted to take away a star because this place is dangerous. I was raised in Brooklyn, currently live in New Jersey, for those who have never experienced Buc-ee's it is like a Wawa had a baby with Superman and then heavily juiced that baby up with steroids and radioactive materials. It is beyond explanation. I was unsure why my cousin who wanted to show us Buc-ee's insisted we eat lunch first, now it all makes sense. First off this place is immense. Literally about 5 times the size of a Wawa. I was unable to count the amount of gas pumps. When you enter it is like some metropolis from out of space. From your standard rows of cooler doors, chips and snacks to Buc-ee's branded jellies, candies and nuts to a counter with pastries and jerky. YES an actual counter of jerky sits next to a wall of bagged jerky. Then in the center is a huge area where they're smoking, saucing and preparing bbq sandwiches of BRISKET, pulled pork, turkey and sausages. And each time they pull or sauce a brisket the team announces "SAUCE GOING ON!", where the hell am I? But that's not it, no no no. Venture deeper in to find lots and lots of buc-ee's branded clothing and merch then some fishing and hunting gear and oh, did I mention very nicely curated home furnishings? I'm unsure who came up with this concept, I know they originated in Texas where everything is bigger. Well gol-ley, Buc-ee's I'm in love. I loved that they gave us samples of the beef jerky and the workers were very friendly. I asked if they had dippin dots because I thought they used to years ago, the worker was new and I told her not to worry about finding out - she found me shopping a few minutes later to tell me they didn't have it but recommended a different ice cream. The only disappointments were that we weren't a fan of the kettle corn, and they forgot to put BBQ on my BBQ pulled pork sandwich and we had left before noticing. A one stop shop! We didn't get gas here although you can! My little sister raved about Buc-ee's bbq sandwich while visiting Florida and we knew we had to stop in. They have home decor, clothes, food, drinks, desserts and of course so many souvenir items with Buc-ee on them. The man at the beef jerky counter let us try some flavors before we settled on about 6 different ones we wanted to buy ( cherry, jalapeño, teriyaki, Korean bbq, lemon pepper). Most items were reasonably priced. They are home to the world's most famous restroom! we left with water, a bbq sandwich (trip tip, sausage and turkey), beef jerky, a t shirt, and a chocolate pie. Description I went to the buc-ees in st Augustine and Daytona but the reviews are going to be the similar since I had a great experience in both and they are up to par. My husband has been to one before but I never had so he said to check it out. This is not just a gas station it is a whole other thing on the inside, they sell fresh food, snacks, souvenirs, home decor, cups, clothes, belts, drinks, coffee a lot of things that I cant even write it all down. Their coffee station has the Starbucks flavored pumps for you to customize to your liking, they have icees of about 12 flavors probably over 20 different fountain drinks. I am never stopping at another rest stop outside of this one that is how strongly I feel about this place. The bathrooms are SUPER clean, each bathroom has an assigned person to maintain them clean throughout the day. The food also has to be sold within a certain time limit and it shows it on the label. The food is made right there for you to grab and go and they have like a couple of hours or so for someone to get it so it's that fresh. What I ordered Chicken sandwich which was DELICOUS. This actually had me shocked excuse of the fact the they are wrapped but the chicken was very crispy not soggy at all like I thought it would be. Lunch here is definitely a go to. Value Everything is on the lower side of the prices to me things seemed fairly orchid or cheaper. Ambiance/Crowd Everyone of all ages in all sorts of attire were here. They even have a buc-ees mascot that you can take a picture with. Service All the workers here were super kind and sweet. We also bought some of their jerky (hot and spicy, teriyaki, red maple), banana pudding, candied almonds and a cinnamon bun - all SO good. They also sell fresh fudge, sandwiches and popcorn. My husband Bryan and I were visiting his dad in St. Augustine and one of the major stops I had to check out was Buc-ee's. Bryan had been before and I heard the story where he had spent $80 in one trip, so I was a little worried for myself. First off I want to say how huge this gas station/ convenient store is, there are so many gas pumps and the store is so clean, even the bathroom is in tiptop shape! They have a couple of walls of jerky but you can actually try it before you buy, there is a station where you can purchase the fresh jerky and sausages. They also have a little bakery for cookies and other desserts, a station for fudge and a station for bbq sandwiches, you can either get a custom sandwich or choose from the many options that are grab and go. Bryan got a turkey sandwich and I got a chopped bbq brisket, these were so good! I also bought myself a wine tumbler, shot glasses for friends and a dog shirt for our little Pomeranian. They also have lots of clothes, my husband was gifted a Buc-ee's Beaver onsie and now he matches with out dog lol. We had many stops with overnight stays on the way up which also included seeing friends Buc-ee's was one of the places we stopped as we were curious. Let me just tell you this place is awesome! It's like a Wawa's and Walmart rolled into one. So many items to choose from like tacos, burritos, slurpees, to barbecue grills and more! The burritos were sooooo good. We tried the chicken fajita and the cheesesteak. We ended up passing at least 2 more as we continued up and found out there is only 2 in Florida, which are St. Augustine and Daytona.
