Happy Birthday to my husband - amazing celebration
    Marlene R.

Love, love, love Cordoba!! The food delicious. We had the pork belly, Cesar salad, hanger steak and the mussels. All extraordinary!! The food, the service incredible. We had an extremely attentive server and the key lime pie was to die for! I really recommend this experience and the hotel is gorgeous.

Intimate, clubby spot for a nightcap in the hotel. Of at least the Moroccan- style, dimly lit bar and lounge area is -- there's a bigger formal dining room in back. I had a perfectly garlicky Black Garlic Caesar Salad with chicken and Parker Rolls (ate at the bar), paired with a nice glass of wine. Service from the pro bartender was top notch, even when she got a late rush of about 20 people. Spendy, yes, but this is a hotel joint, so no surprise. Good quality though.

This restaurant is beautiful from the front to the back room. There's several spaces that you can sit at depending on what vibe you're going for. Since I spent a week here I got to experience all of those spaces and get to know their staff a bit. The front bar area has some high tops that's first come first serve and a handful of bar seats. Molly, Rona and Curtis took great care of me. They have good Happy hour and daily specials and had some great craft cocktail options. The weekend here was very lively, they had a pianist Friday and Saturday that played beautiful music, from classical to throwbacks and rock. I found out they also have a showing of a local magician on Friday nights which was super cool. When I would eat in the dining room I was able to try things from their small bites and dinner menu. I really enjoyed their version of Caesar salad as well as the grilled pork and octopus. The tomato jam was so delicious! The branzino tasted fresh and light and the tomatoes on top gave it a nice touch. I wanted to shout out to the different servers that took care of me while I was away from home for a week. Thank you Heather, Izabella, Michael, Christina and Connor for making me feel welcome and serving me a good meal each night. Also to Lasandra and John for my last breakfast before heading out.

While the haute cuisine and elegant ambiance were spectacular, our server, Isabella is mostly responsible for the 5th star of this review. She was amazing. She knows the food well and with just a few questions, she can make perfect recommendations. I was attracted to a signature cocktail but asked her opinion. She asked if I like my cocktails to be refreshing. I don't. I like nonalcoholic beverages to be refreshing. I like my cocktails to taste like cocktails. She recommended the martini and it was so perfect. She steered us to appetizers, entrees. and desserts perfect for us. Dan and I both got the grouper. It came with a lovely presentation and it tasted as good as it looked. Our appetizers and desserts were equally delicious. We may never pass that way again, but the memory of that romantic dinner will remain with us forever.

It's been a long time since we have had dinner, at the restaurant in the Casa Monica. Friends had gone to the Brunch, and said, It was quite good. We decided to give it a try once again. It is on the pricey side, so you expect it to be very good. The hotel lobby and bar were decorated tastefully. The restaurant was redecorated. Still not as magnificent as the original design, but definitely better. Natalia was our waitress, and she was professional, and timed every thing perfectly. The menu was much improved, but there is always room for improvement. The foraged mushrooms were different, but many were tough, the steak while done to medium rare lacked in the presentation, Wagyu meatball appetizers were tasty. Our guest enjoyed the Mussels. Our dessert was the Key Lime Tart. The valet parking made everything easier, during this very busy holiday time in the heart of Old St Augustine, and you are adjacent to the festivities. This is a +++++++.

Went for Prix Fixe brunch for my wife's birthday and since it had been a number of years since we had dined at the Cordoval restaurant inside the Casa Monica Hotel, we weren't sure what we were going to experience. Fortunately, overall it was really good and a delightful experience. The first course of the four courses for the brunch started off with a delightfully gooey and delicious Monkey bread along with a Berry and yogurt parfait that was good and refreshing, but I would have preferred vanilla flavored vs. plain yogurt (personal preference) and candied bacon deviled eggs. The deviled eggs were minuscule and had little to no flavor. The second course consisted of a delightful smoked salmon croffle consisting of smoked salmon on toast with a refreshing lemon cream cheese, capers and chives and a flavorful applewood smoked ham and cheese croquette. The third course consisted of your choice of six, entree sized different items--my wife had the Shakshuka Flatbread which had a baked egg on top of stewed tomatoes, peppers, herbs and goat cheese. I had the shrimp and grits which included five, nice sized shrimp on a large grit cake bed with andouille sausage, mushrooms and roasted tomatoes. It was one of the better shrimp and grit dishes that I've had but I wish they had a little more spice in it (datil peppers anyone?) and not left the spice to the excellent sausage. The fourth course was the dessert course and we received a selection of bite sized sweets including cheesecake; chocolate mouse bite; two macrons and lemon and raspberry pastry bites. All were very good. Our service by Jake was very good, professional, attentive but not obtrusive and the manager/maitre de came over a couple of times to see how things were going. the Cordova restaurant is inside the Casa Monica Hotel and the atmosphere is, while nice and elegant is a bit dark. Also, my wife's espresso martini and my Sangria were outstanding and worth the extra expense. Overall, it was a very nice meal--nice variety, tasty, and filling even though three of the courses were small bites--it really did leave us satisfied. The price ($39/person not including drinks) also seemed reasonable for the quality and variety of the food and atmosphere---it's something definitely worth trying if you're in St. Augustine.

This restaurant is beautiful. We walked in and the hostess was soo inviting: I think her name was Brittany. Lovely lovely personality. Then we proceeded to our table our server's name was JR. He was sooo attentive and inviting. Then he dropped the bomb that he was onlynon day 2 of his job. No way! He was great. Now the food. We went there for brunch on Sunday and it was yummmy. All three courses. I can't wait to go back. Everything was top notch. Then the Manager came to visit our table and make sure everything was to our liking. All I can say is it was my first of many many visits. Well worth the money. Service was everything!

Porsha made our 40th anniversary Amazeballs!!! So friendly and helpful. She's the best!! The food was great. Ribeye, duck breast wedge salad, mushrooms. Each dish was so unique and delicious. Thank you chef!! Well done

Food is not good, yesterday on Wednesday food was better. We were told yesterday was a different chef named Stephen. Cobb salad had wilted lettuce and small amount of dry cold chicken, airport salad is better and fresher. We use to go to this place before the renovation and they had filet minion and chocolate cake. Now venue is cheap food, badly cooked, restaurant is completely empty. Off our list

Had an appetizer of fried oysters that was wonderful followed by grouper that was even more so. Wish I knew how to put such a perfect crust on a piece of fish while leaving the center so moist and tender. Isabella took wonderful care of us. The restaurant is inside the historic Casa Monica hotel with its rich decor that hints of Mediterranean.

I had bought a gift certificate for brunch for two for my husband for his birthday. We decided to use it today. The restaurant is inside the beautiful Casa Monica hotel in downtown St. Augustine. Both the lobby and the restaurant are beautiful. They serve brunch on Saturday and Sunday from 10 to 2. You get deviled eggs, monkey bread, a yogurt parfait, croquettes, and a smoked salmon item to begin. Then each patron gets to choose one of their seven entrees. I had the shrimp and grits and my husband had the chicken and waffles. Both entrees tasted delicious. To finish off the meal we received a small plate of dessert bites. They included macaroons, cheesecake and one other lemon pastry. I highly recommend this place.

The goal is to try every item on their menu. It's Mediterranean (Turkish) cuisine folks, which I call "guilt free, healthy eats". What to try you may ask. If you are striving for that "Olive Garden Salad + Bread combo"... let me suggest Kofta's version which is the Coban Salad and Puffy Bread. They're not offered as an all you can eat combo, but it should keep you filled between the two. - Coban Salad (5/5): A must try, soooo delicious. Fresh ingredients. The dressing, I could drink them in shot glasses. - Puffy Bread (5/5): It's made to order. Comes out nice and hot and puffy. Plenty to share with others. - From the Grill menu. Kofta Plate, Chicken Shish, Adana Plate are all good choices (5/5) - Sandwiches/Wraps: Their Doner Wrap was just okay to me (4/5) Service (5/5): no complaints here Pricing (5/5): Best value when you eat during Lunch. But Dinner items are not too pricey. Lastly, Buffets are also offered...on Sundays I believe. I haven't tried it yet but it definitely gives me a great reason to come back to Kofta.

Inside, the waitress (who I believe is the wife of the owner of the restaurant?) kindly greeted us and seated us immediately. The menu was extensive, plus they sometimes have off menu specials like fish. We ordered the adana lamb and adana chicken, as well as the mixed appetizer plate and calamari. It was way too much food for two of us, but it was all delicious. The meat was a little bit salty, but it was balanced out by the rice and other vegetables on the plate. The mixed appetizers were delicious. I don't think I would order the calamari again. Overall, great Turkish cuisine, owned by Turkish couple who moved to the United States a few years ago.

I really can't believe I haven't reviewed this fast casual restaurant yet…read more We have been going here at least once a week since they opened. The food is great, fresh and the serving size is awesome. They have $15 specials with an appetizer which is a good value. My husband and my MIL almost always order the small salad with gyro meat. Susan and I visited The Great Greek Mediterranean Grill expecting a traditional sit down restaurant…read moreand instead discovered a counter service spot that completely won us over. From the moment we walked in, the space felt clean, bright, and welcoming, with a simple Mediterranean style that made it comfortable to dine in. There was a steady stream of customers coming and going, both dining in and picking up takeout, which immediately told us this place has built a loyal following. The food is where The Great Greek really shines. We started with the four dip combo, and honestly, that alone is worth the visit. The hummus was smooth, creamy, and full of flavor without being heavy. The tirokafteri had a bold kick that built just enough heat to keep things interesting. Paired with plenty of warm, soft pita, it is an easy dish to share and one we would happily order every time. For our main dishes, I ordered the gyro, which I often use as a benchmark when trying a Greek restaurant. The meat was flavorful, the pita was fresh, and the tzatziki sauce really stood out, tying everything together beautifully. The feta fries were another highlight and were hard to stop eating. Susan ordered the Atlantic salmon, and it ended up being the biggest surprise of the meal. It was cooked perfectly, well seasoned, and paired with sides that complemented the fish rather than overpowering it. Portion sizes are generous, pricing feels very fair for the quality and amount of food, and service was friendly and efficient throughout our visit. Even though this is a counter service restaurant, staff brought the food to the table and checked in to make sure everything was just right. We even left with leftovers and dessert to enjoy later, which is always a good sign. What we thought would be a quick meal turned into a really enjoyable dining experience. This is a restaurant we will absolutely be returning to and one we are happy to recommend to anyone looking for great Greek food done well.
