Oh my goodness! I love Buccees! It's not near me so passing through AL we had to make a stop! Love the food! Love the merch! Love the atmosphere! I bought the brisket which was amazing and the beaver chips (potato chips). Yum! Their iced tea was even delicious! It's an experience you have to try!

First timer! Was in the area visiting family and was so excited to finally step into one after seeing videos on social media. I was like a kid in a candy store, so much to see and shop for. The sampler nuts were delicious, the brisket was tender and smokey, the beaver nuggets were not too sweet & crunchy. The store and bathrooms are very clean and well stocked. Everything was organized, everyone was friendly. I can't wait to return & fill my luggage with goodies!

There is truly nothing quite like Buc-ee's along the highway, especially when you make it a planned stop in the middle of a longer journey. It becomes more than just a refueling break - it turns into a destination of its own. I have been slowly collecting Buc-ee's visits, now up to 20, so I can compare them side by side. The Athens location? Every bit as impressive as the others, living up to the reputation that makes these stops so memorable. Brisket sandwiches, jerky, soda fountains, coffee, décor, and clothing - all the familiar Buc-ee's hallmarks are here in abundance. The store feels like a blend of roadside convenience and Texas‑sized spectacle, with shelves and counters overflowing with the things travelers have come to expect and enjoy. And of course, the bathrooms. We deliberately waited nearly two hours after starting our drive just to make this stop, knowing they would be worth the delay. Spacious, clean, and reliable, they are part of what makes Buc-ee's legendary. During peak hours, be aware that the ladies side can have a line, which is a small drawback but hardly enough to diminish the overall experience. This car stops at all Buc-ees. Even it's for gas and a bathroom break. Gas was $2.49 but if you got the works car wash they take $1.00 off gas. Car wash was $16.00 so actually we paid $4.00for it. It took 5 minutes to go through it. It does a good job soap 3 different times and brushes rinse, and wax and dry. You can also get the tire cleaner and the vacuum for free. Also, there's a machine that does your mats. Also a brush for them darn bugs. That was all at the Athens, Alabama location. No food this time but I did get a wine tag that that I'm going to use for a Christmas ornament. I think the quality of the food and merchandise is outstanding.

My first Buccee's experience! It is the most lively truck stop and there's so much to get. I loved the different flavored jerkey, sliders, and Buccee branded souvenirs. Parking is very easy, it's busy but efficient, definitely worth checking out if you are in the area!

I always love stopping at Buc-ee's, and the Athens, Alabama location did not disappoint. This time I tried their pulled pork mac and cheese and wow... it was so good. The mac was creamy, the pulled pork was flavorful, and grabbing a cup of their BBQ sauce took it to the next level. Buc-ee's is always clean, fast, and stocked with everything you could possibly want for a road trip, but the food alone makes it worth the stop. I'll definitely be getting that mac and cheese again next time I'm passing through.

Buc-ee's is still the best place to visit for one stop bathroom, gas, food, & drink when you're traveling. I recommend you get some gas, park the car, use the restroom, then get a soft drink or coffee drink to carry while you shop. Do your shopping, refill your drink, grab some food to go, then pay. So many great things to see and do in this store! I enjoy shopping the hot sauces, the jerky, and the fishing shirts. My favorite grab and go sandwiches are the sliced turkey and the chopped brisket.

We stopped at Bucees in Athens on the way home from Nashville to see what all the hype is about. First of all, I would love to meet their original marketing team because they have established a brand that it seems like the entire south knows about and worships! Second of all, this place is like a city in the middle of no where. I question what makes it any different than a Loves or Flying J? To me, when I'm on a roadtrip, any mega gas station where I can get gas, a snack and use the restroom will do. There were hundreds of people there when we went, but even with hundreds of people the place was clean, and we were able to get gas and grab our snacks quickly. The hardest part was trying to pull in because there was a line of cars.

Buc-ee's is a must-stop for us; especially with our EV, thanks to the multiple charging stations! This place has everything you could possibly need, or didn't know you needed. Craving jerky? Cokes? Coffee? Fresh bakery items? How about beef brisket or even a nice bottle of Pinot Noir? They've got it all, plus sunglasses, clothes, home décor, grills, and yes... 28 stalls in the women's restroom. Despite the massive crowds, the service is always impressive. Bonus: we spotted the store's namesake today: Buc-ee the Beaver himself. He's a legend!

I mean who doesn't love clean bathrooms and seeing a cute beaver on every surface known to man? This Buc-ee's is an oasis in the sea of asphalt. Not only are the employees very helpful and kind, but I have never seen this place dirty. Considering the amount of people that come through everyday Bucees is not only a gas station mogul but an anomaly. They always have many items stocked and cooked fresh and of course we can't forget about the gas pumps. The only complaint... yes I said complaint, oof, is their coffee... no bueno. I have gotten it on multiple occasions and it does not hit. All in all, this is the perfect rest stop to spend at least 30 additional minutes than initially intended but it is well worth the detour!

There are no squeegee's to clean your windshield at any of the multitude of pumps. When I asked the manager why, he said there are a few on the backside of the building. How would anyone know?‍ I have MS and have dizziness at times. There aren't any chairs at all to rest in. They sell awesome food but no chair/table to eat it at. You need to either stand and eat take your brisket to your car. Not very customer friendly. I really give it 2-1/2 stars. read more

Food is excellent! But this is not a restaurant! You have to take the food out to eat it. Buc-cees is known for their beef brisket sandwich which decanting! Delicious meat and lots of it. There is an area that I call grab and go that has cut fruit, puddings, salads, snd other fresh food items . All of these items have. Been good, fresh and ripe. read more

We stopped by here twice in one weekend. We were instantly greeted by friendly staff each time we walked through the doors. There is SO much to look at in this store. Stop by with time set aside to truly enjoy everything it has to offer. We tried the brisket sandwiches, chicken fingers, and sweet and spicy jerky. All of it was delicious but WHEW that brisket sandwich was on its own level. I would go back just for that. It was very clean and organized. read more

Been to three different Buc-ee's locations. The one in Crossville, TN, Calhoun, GA, and Athens, AL. All of them quite large and very busy. They have good gas prices and everything you need for a road trip. They have plenty of junk food and snacks galore! They also have a gift shop with t-shirts, swimsuits, sunglasses, home decor, grills, coolers, etc... The restrooms are very clean and have large private stalls. Prepare to spend money and look around for an hour or so. read more

Everything!! My family and friends were in Nashville for a few days so we rented a car for a day and drove for an hour and a half to the Crossville location. This was the second visit for three of us and the first for the rest. Everyone was in heaven with the shopping, food, and the clean bathrooms. We all loved the atmosphere and got our picture taken with Buc ee. We would love to see Buc ee come to the upper Midwest some day. read more

Buccees is not a truck stop and they will have you towed while you shop as well as deny your purchase and kick you out if you have a truck

WOW what a great place! Great new location. Plenty of gas pumps, doggy park, groceries, fresh food, souvenirs, this place has it all. Super clean restrooms. Delicious sandwiches, my favorite is the smoked turkey, OMG so good! Can't wait for the car wash to be running. I have been waiting a long time to go to Buc-ees. My brother told me last week about this one in our area. I finally made it there Friday. It was not as big as I thought it would be. Although I was still impressed. I got the pulled pork sandwich. It was one of the best I've had in a while. I brought 2 Italian hoagies home. The costumer service was outstanding. Everyone was kind and helpful. I figured since I heard they had everything they would have Buc-ees souvenir spoons. When I asked one of the employees. I was shocked they didn't. Overall I was finally happy we got a Buc-ees in our area. I will be going back in the near future and many times after. read more

My first visit to Alabama Bucees. Super clean, nice stuff but I was so disappointed that in milk section for coffee I didn't find any plant based milk (Oat, almond, soy,..). I tried veggie burrito and it was good but only one hot meal option for vegetarians. It would be amazing if you add beyond meat burgers or beyond meat Italian sausages in a menu. In US more than 9mln vegetarians and you would def get more loyal customers and become more progressive. read more

I was visiting my Mom in Florida and we had planned a specific trip to Buc-ee's. I'm from the North East and have never been to one, but I've seen them on various YouTube videos. Our plans changed, but we managed to stop at the Buc-ee's in Athens, AL. There were MANY gas pumps, no wait. A car wash and when we got inside, we went to the legendary bathroom. What a treat! I've been to some very questionable gas station bathrooms in my day. This was, by far, the cleanest one I've ever been to. The place was quite crowded. I really enjoyed the beef jerky area (bought a package). I also bought a pulled pork sandwich, which was pretty tasty. I was blown away by just how many different types of merchandise this store carries! The staff were all very friendly. There was even a Buc-ee mascot walking around, with whom you could get a picture. I was a little worried about the checkout process, because of how busy the store was. However, I waited for a VERY short time to buy my items. I WILL return to another Buc-ee's, in the future!!! read more

Well I don't recommend their "pulled" pork sandwiches. The pork looks and tastes like it came out of a can. The only thing you can taste is the bbq sauce that permeates through the meat. It is not worth the $8.50 they are asking for it. read more

First visit to a Buc-ee's ever! Went to Florence SC. Definitely an experience - every type of retail store rolled into one! HUGE!! I am sorry, though, I was not impressed with the fudge or kolache. The fudge was more like cake/cookie maybe even brownie texture - not fudge! And the kolache was like a cheese danish with fruit on top, not a kolache. We did not try any of the other foods, but did walk through the entire store, and left. Not sure if I'll go back or not. read more

poor customer services! to the manager on duty arond 1:30pm 7/5/23. do better!!! your employee rang up my order (bag of chips, frozen coke, bottle of water) and handed me the bag. I made it half way out to the car before I realized she didn't put the water in the bag. no big deal, I turn around and head back into the store only to be told by your employee that she saw the people behind me grab my water after I left. Normal customer services behavior would to say "go grab another water, sorry for the mistake, I should have put the water in the bag with everything else" " but no.. she called you and you had to "watch the cameras" before I could get another $1.19 water. I waited for a good 5 minutes on your before just paying for another. consider the other water bottle your tip for being so friendly (eye roll) You lost a customer for sure. read more

I've gone there several times on a Saturday closer to 8:30am and it was closed. The vacuums are hit and miss. Typically, I end up driving to 4 or 5 vacuums before I find one that works. The pay station where you enter seldom works the first time you insert a credit card. Someone has to typically come from inside to assist with getting the gate to open. I just don't feel this location is managed well. You could say it's always hit or miss when visiting this location

When she went outside, my family members that were waiting for me in their car, heard her talking about me to other employees and other customers! This is UNACCEPTABLE. In addition, she made an error in checking me out, so she told me I would not be charged for the addition. After I left - without notifying me - she charged my debit card the addiontional charges. When I called to ask why, I was hung up on three times in a row. I sent a message to the text message and asked the question; her response that she should have asked management first and she was going to charge it anyway. Again - UNACCEPTABLE! I was not even told this before they charged this to my card. We have a second vehicle to get done. After her rude and unacceptable behavior and the way she talked about me, I will find another business establishment. I hate it for the employees that do the work. She ruined it for the us all.

I swore I selected the package that included tire cleaning and that spray on tire conditioner that I can't recall the name of (included in the "better" package which I think was $14.00). Tires looked clean but did not have the Armor All. I really really appreciate that there is no music playing either from the business, or from the patrons. Nice touch. The vacuums are not good. At least the one I used was really, really weak. Getting in and out is a little tricky, too but nothing they could do about that. All in all decent car wash, just don't expect much from the vacuums.

Looks like a "fun" place to stop but almost everything about it is completely OVERRATED. Sandwiches are EXPENSIVE... and very overrated. Their pulled pork (pre-made) is DISGUSTING... and it is $7.99. If the pulled pork were good, that'd be a $3.99 sandwich at the very most. Sliced BBQ Turkey Sandwich (pre-made) $7.99... it's OK, but nothing special. Pretty light on the amount of turkey, heavy on the bread... I picked one up as soon as they put them out... it was barely warm. Texas BLT... (custom order from kiosk) comes with Mayo -- what they don't tell you is that it is a hot, spicy mayo that is LAVA FIRE HOT. First time, sandwich had LOTS of B, L, and T... and the hot mayo. Not just hot but nasty tasting. Second time I tried it... I got no mayo... but the B, the L, and the T were almost non-existent. It was mostly a bread sandwich. Salads -- at other locations (maybe they've changed), there were at least 6 salads to choose from... and they didn't choose the dressing for you. A salad included up to two packets of dressing - OF YOUR CHOICE. And they had about 10 dressings to choose from. Now, they put a tiny little cup of some Nasty dressing that they choose. And they have only three dressings in packets available... and they are 50 cents each. They only have three salads to choose from now, nothing good. No garden salad... no French, Italian, or Vinaigrette dressings at all. Breakfast sandwiches... whenever they have breakfast, they have the kiosks disabled.. They only have premade sandwiches... and ALL BUT ONE have disgusting cheese on them. Millions of people either hate cheese or can't have it... I hate it, myself. But there were several other people there on this one morning trying to find a breakfast selection without cheese. They had ONE: A sausage biscuit. No sausage & egg, like normal. Just a biscuit with sausage... nothing else... and it was $3.99!!!! The should sell two or three for that price! Their beaver chips weren't available (due to a 'manufacturing issue'). They substituted Tator Tots... but they had no ketchup available. I heard at least 20 people ask for ketchup packets.... only two of those people got the tots anyway... the rest of them bypassed them or put them back. What they are good for: BAGGED ICE, SODA, GASOLINE --- NOTHING ELSE. read more

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Buc-ee's for the first time, and it was an exciting experience. I had been eagerly awaiting its completion, and once I found out it was ready, I knew a visit was imminent. We happened to go on a Saturday, which turned out to be quite crowded, but that was somewhat expected, and the crowds didn't dampen my enthusiasm. The store itself is massive, impressively clean, and well-organized. What really stood out to me was the presence of third-party vendors who offered a variety of merchandise, some of which I had only seen online. It was a nice surprise to find these unique brands on display. Buc-ee's merchandise was equally impressive, with an array of shirt options and a wide range of items, from cups and stickers to stuffed animals and blankets. The best part was that everything was reasonably priced, unlike most branded merchandise that tends to be overly expensive. I also had the opportunity to sample some of Buc-ee's offerings, and they didn't disappoint. The fresh rice krispies, 3 meat BBQ sandwich, cinnamon roll, and banana pudding cup were all delightful and exceeded my expectations for food from a gas station. The staff members were fantastic and maintained their friendliness even during the peak of the bustling crowd. While I can't give it a perfect 5-star rating due to a billing error where I was double-charged for an item, it's worth mentioning that Buc-ee's customer service swiftly resolved the issue, which speaks to their commitment to customer satisfaction. In summary, Buc-ee's is nothing short of amazing. Despite the weekend rush and the crowd, I thoroughly enjoyed exploring the store, stocking up on snacks, and loading my cart with merchandise. I'm eagerly looking forward to returning and visiting other Buc-ee's locations in the future. read more

Buc-ee's (for the rest of the review going to be referred to as Buccees) is the worst business to ever come out of our great nation and a disgrace to everything good that America has to offer. It is one of the most unpatriotic companies out there and no Buccees will ever get my business for the time I have remaining on earth. This Buccees is a large contributor to this. The drive up to my grandparents house used to be beautiful and something I would look forward to. Hopping off Huntsville-Brownsferry road, seeing the old churches and mansions. One day I noticed they were doing construction. I thought they were just repaving the road until I saw the Buck-toothed, deformed chipmunk that this company uses as their mascot. I immediately tried to wake myself up from this nightmare only to find out it was a reality. I knew that this Buccees would kill some of my most cherished memories. There are now 3 Buccees in my great state and every single one of them sucks. The one on I-10 near Orange Beach has absolutely wrecked traffic. The one in Leeds has destroyed the entrance to the Bass Pro Shops, and the one in Athens has desecrated a historical exit. Why has this place become an attraction? It's a gas station with the worst mascot known to man, I mean come on a chipmunk, I could take on 1000 of those with my bear hands. Probably more if I started doing more cardio. The food is mediocre. Everyone loves to talk about their brisket sandwich. I got news for you, it tastes like (redacted). They have hundreds of gas pumps yet it still takes forever to find one. Also, everyone's favorite past time seems to be urinating on the Buccees bathroom floor. Buccees is participating in cancel culture with every single business it puts up. I cannot support that. I was surprised to see that entire staff was caucasion. From front cashiers to sales associates, and management staff. I saw one mexican coming from the back. I am really surprized to see this in 2022. Half the cashiers had no clue how to use the POS system for customers wanting only gas. Had to refer me to a night manager who couldnt figure it out either. Store manager needs to train them and get more of variety of employees. Not just old white people. read more

Hats off to the hard working staff.... This IS the standard... they set the bar high. I hope their employees are paid accordingly. I dont get by a buccees regularly.. so stopping here was a breath of fresh air! World known restrooms for a reason! I wanted to show my thanks so I made a few purchases that I hadnt planned to make simply to say thank you for the clean place to stop. read more
