I just love this store. You can get delicious made on the spot sandwiches. Or breakfast foods, deli foods, homemade fudge. They have kolache's. Fresh jerky !! They have a lot of cashiers. So you barely wait in line, even when they are busy. I love shopping here for that alone. They have huge clean clean restrooms too. I always find gifts here. This place screamed quintessential Texas gas station. The store was huge and filled with a myriad of unique items ranging from jerkies of various animals to, folding chairs with umbrellas, to smokers (both the kind that cook brisket slowly as well as the kind that have raspy voices and yellowed teeth). There are so many things here, it's easy to be overwhelmed. The only aspect that holds it back is the gas pumps, for me - four big blocks of pumps, but it was a free-for-all to get to them. For the first time; I've been here 10-12 times, a 20 person line for bathroom access. Also line to wash hands, several closed. Also, when I went to get brisket sandwich & ask for pickles was told not offered any longer. Why?? The number of gas pumps, the number of bathroom stalls, toilets, urinals is seriously unbelievable. I never understood the hype until I came here. WOW. Very overwhelming. I mean the amount of stuff that is in this place is crazy! So many branded things and gift type things. Not to mention all of the normal gas station stuff like soda and snacks. You could EASILY spend two hours in here just looking at everything. I had a breakfast burrito with sausage, egg, and cheese and it was quite delicious. If there is ever a next time I would go for the same burrito, but with green sauce in it. YUM. I go every single time I go to Dallas to visit my Family. The brisket alone in my opinion is the WORLDS best!!! So tender, juicy and full of flavor. I wanted to return a shirt!! I bought it and when I tried it on it was a bit to tight on me. I wanted to exchange it for a shirt that fit less snug. It had the size sticker on it still. The manager said that because I wore it she couldn't return or exchange it. I never wore it I tried it on it had deodorant on it from when I tried it on. So I expressed that if they had a dressing room I would have tried it on in the dressing room with the same outcome. She then said they have a dressing room. I was in the store a couple of days ago and witnessed an absolutely disgusting display of Buc-ee's management. A manager (name-tag said "Taylor") was reprimanding an employee in front of customers. This poor girl was in tears, it was completely uncalled for and I felt so bad for her. I've seen this employee many times before and she always has a smile on her face. I'm sorry but I enjoy being greeted with a smile and makes me want to come back again. To see this from your management is sickening! Well now I can see why some of the employees here look miserable since this is the kind of management you hire. An ode to Buc-ee's... Where did you come from? Where have you been all my life? I was first introduced to Buc-ee's in 2016 when I decided to venture into Texas for the first time to visit my cousin near Austin. She was all excited to show me the biggest truck stop/gas station/convenience store in the history of all the aforementioned and since then I haven't looked back! I was doubly excited when I learned they were going to build one in Royse City near my parents' abode. Upon opening I've been frequenting this location and it never disappoints. They have everything you could need or not need in the case of getting gifts for my nieces and nephew. Just so happy to have this Texas original in my life. I've been to Buccee's mini mini times, and the one time I actually needed something you don't carry anything to actually help someone if they're having car trouble. Got a flat need some help... nothing. I cannot fix a flat a plug kit an air pump nothing. This is the worst gas station I've ever been to. This Wal-mart of gas stations is ridiculous! It is huge! Very clean and staffed heavily. Everything from home goods to BBQs to branded snacks and drinks. A really neat tourist shop. We got some fudge and snacks to see how it was. And it was actually pretty good! Similar to small shops in other tourist places like Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg. Except all in one shop. Prices were ok for a gas station, high for a shop, IMO. Still, this is worth checking out if you happen upon one and need a stretch on a long car ride. read more

Charged my wife for tap water in her own clear cup after spending a ton on gas and another rediculous sum on food and drinks for my whole family. We expressed shock and were told, "yeah, we charge for everything". Ive spent a lot at the buckees chain and I always liked their stores, even if it's over priced. I am very excited about this location and hope they make it more convenient to get to/from the highway. My biggest issue is the parking. Everyone was parking at the gas pumps instead of fueling and then parking elsewhere to go inside and shop. Maybe they should mark off certain pumps as "fueling only/no unattended vehicles"? Just a thought even though people are going to do whatever. That's not Buc-ee's fault though, but just an observation. Wow. Talk a out branding to the empty degree. This gas statios X 10 is an experience. It's a fun place to visit. The only thing I didn't see was a Buckees brand turd and smilie face emogis stress ball. That logo was on E-VEr-Ry-Thing! You have to go several times to really experience all that it has to offer. We stopped at Buc-ee's on our way home after driving to Killeen during snowvid-21. I'd heard about them in some Facebook videos so it was a must stop. OMG! I could've spent hours in there. There was so much to look at. My husband and I spent at least an hour in there. The workers seemed happy to be there and the food was fresh. The restroom was very clean and well stocked. I don't think we even saw everything because this place is so big. They do a great job keeping everything clean. We're actually looking forward to going back when we drive to Texas again. While we were planning our drive through Texas to visit family we were unanimously given one piece of advice: STOP AT BUC-EE'S!!! The billboards started welcoming us in like an hour before we would arrive. We had planned our breaks perfectly and the restrooms and gas pumps at Buc-ee's became our oasis in the Texas heat. As you pull in it's a buyer's market on which of the roughly five thousand gas pumps you would prefer to pull up to. Gas prices were certainly reasonable and the exterior was extremely clean. The store itself was very clean and had tons of stuff to choose from for snacks and meals. This was just a snack pit stop so I went with a drink and some fudge. Next time the BBQ shall be tested. The one HUGE negative in my eyes is there was an insane amount of people in the store not wearing a mask. I'm not sure of the COVID protocols in Texas but I know that having roughly half of the 2-300 people in the shop without masks is not a good idea. Definitely held my breath as much as possible and got in and out. So, be warned. read more
