They don't do hot food anymore unless it's a BBQ sandwich, they don't carry Pepsi products anymore (and haven't for about two years), they don't do Kolache anymore unless you come in the morning (so I can't buy it the night before to save time anymore), and the prices have become outrageous, even for "gas station food". read more

A week ago I visited your Royce City, Texas location and I purchased a few bad products and was refused a refund or replacement for stale product. Management stated that he is all allowed at his discretion to refund only two items, but I had three items in which I paid the full price and the product was bad, so I feel that it's only right that I be refunded or given a replacement!!! Instead I was told that there's nothing he can do!!! Unsatisfactory!!! I am a retired and disabled veteran and I refuse to be ripped off and told that you can't do anything to correct an issue with you selling bad products!!! And I'm supposed to just accept it!!! I wish I could give this place 0 stars !!! The daytime workers and overnight workers are EXTREMELY rude and unwelcoming. I have had terrible experiences with so many staff members. Joe that works in the hot food department is completely ignorant and nasty spirited. Daran who works the registers usually over night is a complete nightmare. His tone attitude and energy are all very very distasteful. The only reason I come here is because it's the only thing open for MILES. I have reported issues to multiple managers such as Karla in the food Department, all I am always met with is " I apologize for the associate but I was not there to witness it" what type of response is that???? I am sooo sick of coming here and being met with people who seem to have some type of animosity against coming to work, but I didn't fill out the application or come to the interview or come into work so I don't understand why I am getting this energy from people. With all that being said if you can avoid this Buc-ee's I would at all cost. There is one in Terrell which is longer and ALOT more WELCOMING. I was on my way home from Dallas, and was passing through Royse City on my way around Louisiana, and decided I needed some breakfast. Fortunately a Buc-Ee's was waiting for me to stop in and grab something to eat. This one was a lot like all of the other Buc-Ee's now scattered across the Southeast, but since it was breakfast time my usual purchase of a pulled pork sandwich was going to have to be put on the back burner. Instead I went for a couple of breakfast burritos. Usually I like breakfast burritos, but in this case I was not really a fan of what Buc-Ee's put out. It wasn't the food quality, it was the recipe they use for their burritos. It just didn't jive for me. This is not to say that I am disappointed in Buc-Ee's... I still consider them to be a top notch place to stop when traveling. I just know now that getting breakfast there is not something for me. read more

This place is more than just a gas station. If Wawa and Walmart had a baby, Buc-ee's would be the result. This is a department store, souvenir stand, sporting goods shop, a deli, a candy store, a country home furnishings shop, a toy store, a spice rack, a 7-11 on steroids, a coffee counter, a source for beef jerky and home made fudge. You could purchase a Buc-ee's branded cooler and fill it with items from the store, including awesome made to order sandwiches. There is something for everyone. I spoke to one of the managers. He said that the reason they don't have indoor seating is because it gets too busy. We had a blast walking around the store and seeing so many items. You can buy a keychain, painting, dish set or a bathing suit. The choices are varied. The bathrooms are huge and clean. The family created the facility out of frustration for a lack of clean bathrooms while traveling. There aren't any in DC yet but other locations are being built. read more

They offer much more than your regular gas station they serve delicious hot prepared food, desserts, pastries, fudge, bar b q, tacos, burritos, brisket, different varieties of beef jerky, I mean options are unlimited. You can find household items, outdoor grills and patio furniture, outdoor grills and fire pits for sale. Along with clothing and traveling equipment and gear. This place is way more than just a gas station, this place is an experience. Epic Experience and the Restrooms are immaculate, it was so clean and tidy. They have an attendant working in the restrooms at all times just to make sure your restroom experience is the best experience ever especially dealing with a public facility. Buc-ee's also has a Mascot that will gladly and cheerfully take pictures with you and your family to further enlighten and enhance your visit with Buc-ee's. Be Blessed... Nicole's service was exceptional. I was getting some tots and burritos on our road trip and I told my husband "hey you've seen ketchup" and somehow she overhear and out of her way looked for ketchup for me and hand it to me after I have walk away from food section area like 15steps! You will not get that kind of service anywhere else.. Bucees is always gold though! Restrooms are always clean, everything is always in order, all merchandise is always straight up! Buc ee's is like the eighth wonder of the world! I'm just a Yankee from Connecticut who has been to a few recently in Tennessee and now this one in Royse City, TX while traveling for business. Huge. They sell everything. Staff is always friendly and helpful. A few weeks ago in Tennessee I had the chopped BBQ brisket sandwich and it was pretty darn good but I felt the bbq sauce was a bit overpowering. My good buddy Wayne suggested I try the made to order brisket sandwich without the barbecue sauce. They only do it that way sliced (The chopped is already premixed with the BBQ sauce I was told) so I ordered one and it was basically inedible. Disgusting. Almost all fat and very chewy, not tender at all. On the plus side the potato bun was fresh and the light flavor/seasoning on the meat was OK but I couldn't eat a single slice of the brisket. Come on Buc ee's, you can do better!! PS the key lime pie cup is to die for!! read more

Very good! Very good!!! I love Buc-ee's when I am on the road. A great place to stop for some souvenirs, jerky bar (jerkyyyyy bar!!!) and a clean restroom. Also, don't forget a Dr. Pepper slurpee and some snacks for the road. The restrooms here were very well kept (as most locations are). This was our first visit to Buc-ee's and not what we expected. We did appreciate the large number of pumps and ample parking. The shopping was cool and the food selection was amazing. The barbecue was good along with the beaver chips. The fountain drink selection was wonderful. The only negative is that there was no seating either inside or outside. read more

From Texarkana to Royce City, the countdown begins with witty signs along the way counting the remaining miles every 4 to eight minutes. We had enough gas, we didn't need any Buc ee's nuggets but until they mentioned "pottying like a rockstar", didn't need a bathroom. So 30 minutes later, we pulled into the massive gas station with a ginormous parking lot. We were greeted by the 4'6" Bucky Beaver sculpture by the entrance. As we walked in, the scent of roasted nuts being coated with cinnamon and sugar was thick in the air. BBQ sandwiches were being slapped and wrapped together. We did a little bit of last minute Christmas shopping. What other gas station could you find a copper trimmed cheeseboard and a snowman cookie jar a bottle of Dom Perigon? Besides the cookie jar and cheese board we grabbed a bbq sandwich and cone of roasted cashews. The prices were reasonable and off to fill up the Jeep. They must spaces to fill up 70 vehicles at once. On the return to Texas we stopped off to fill up and go inside. I mean Wow! Just Wow! This place is like a Cracker Barrel on steroids with a Texas flair & a sea of gasoline pumps. How could I have been in the dark for so long (they been around since 1982)? The bathrooms are the best I've ever seen in any establishment- bar none.
