Good food, perfectly located right in the center of the beach in Positano. Pasta, fish, and great deserts.

Buca Di Bacco - Caesar salad with chicken

Right off the beach, obviously a packed area, but at noon the restaurant was surprisingly empty. I was also pleased that for its location the pricing wasn't too crazy. Great views & pleasant service. Enjoyed the Ceasar salad, flavorful gnocchi, decent pesto pasta.

Are you ready to find with a beautiful view of the ocean? This is the place! My friend and I enjoyed lunch at Buca di bacco. This restaurant was recommended to us from our Airbnb host so we knew it had to be good, we weren't disappointed. I enjoyed their steak entree which was seasoned well. The oven roasted potatoes came out hot, ready and tasty. Our waiter was a nice gentleman and our food came out quickly. Stop by for a meal while in Positano!

In the cave of the goddess of food and wine Buca Di Bacco is over 100 years old and the food is still perfection. We see why this restaurant has lived for so many years, it was a wonderful experience with food, wine, and the service! We got zucchini flowers to begin with, seabass with vegetables, and delicious pasta , paired with delicious wine our waiter was so sweet he actually helped me decide which fish to try and he did not disappoint it was so fresh and it melted in the mouth! The plus side was that we were right by the water view again and honestly it makes the difference so gorgeous to look at!

5 stars for the hotel, 4 stars for the restaurant! There is a lot to like about the restaurant attached to the Buca di Bacco hotel. First off, the location cannot be beat. It's very close to the beach and their view and ambiance is very pleasant. It's also one of the few places that will let you sit with out a reservation. The menu has some gems on it, but it's typical Amalfi coast Italian fare. You won't find pizza or paninis, but they have some nice seafood, meat, and pasta options. We really liked the octopus and burrata and the lemon risotto with red shrimp. Both very solid dishes that were better than expected based on other reviews. This wasn't the best meal we had is Positano, but a really solid dinner we were happy to enjoy on our first night in Italy.

This restaurant is in an amazing location in Positano near the main beach, which makes it very easy to get to. It also has stunning views from inside, so I would highly recommend making a reservation and getting a table near the windows. We arrived early in the evening and ordered some wine paired and pasta dishes. We tried the shrimp risotto and ravioli which were both tasty, but very overpriced for the portion size. When we asked for the bill, the waiter was very surprised that we didn't order anything more, and after paying for our bill in euros, he asked us if we wanted any change, and then proceeded to get visibly annoyed when we said "yes". Despite the service and portions, we had a nice time here but I'd be hesitant to return.

Gorgeous restaurant right by the water in positano but holy shit the ravioli was WAYY too salty and completely inedible... Wait staff was incredibly professional however and took the item off of our bill, we didn't even have to ask! Gotta love good service, hence the 3 stars. We all make mistakes and it's easy to get heavy handed with salt so... shit happens! Would not recommend tho, there are sooo many great restaurants in Positano.. I'd recommend going elsewhere...

Seafood pasta

Beautiful spot right next to the beach. We came here on our first day and had the ravioli and seafood pasta. Both were excellent. The seafood dish was loaded up with goodies and everything was super fresh. Service was also great. No pressure to order more than we needed which is not so common in positano.

My husband and I had our first meal in Positano on the beachfront at Buca di Bacco. It was recommended to us by a few locals we met along our Italian honeymoon. This hotel restaurant opens at 7:30pm so we toured the nearby shops until then. Totally worth the wait as we were the first customers and got seated immediately. To start off, we ordered the grilled octopus with artichoke, burrata cheese, and balsamic vinegar. So good and perfectly tender. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. If that weren't enough, my entrée was steamed baccalà with capers, olives, cherry tomatoes, and mashed potatoes. Salty cod goodness. We didn't have room for wine or dessert but just wanted to enjoy our first hot meal in awhile since we'd been traveling. I slept happily that evening after eating what would be one of my favorite meals in Positano. I would have come back here again if we had a few more days of vacation. I don't regret exploring other restaurants in the area, though!

I can't review the dining experience but I can tell you that you must try out the cooking class. So much fun while drinking champagne. Staff made it fun and took many photos. We made a chocolate cake, eggplant parm, pesto gnocchi, and pizza.

We are staying in the hotel and loved it so much that this is our third time. It has the most amazing views. We chose to be outside on the upstairs dining area. I found the price very reasonable and the wait staff amazing. The food was great! Homemade pasta, muscles, lemon risotto... all amazing.

Lobster linguini

Buca di Bacco is where locals who know their stuff go to have nice dinners. The staff is great, food is spectacular, and the prices are reasonable. The arugula and seafood salads were great. The linguini lobster dish was excellent. And the views are tough to beat. I highly recommend coming here when you're in Positano!

Buca di Bacco is a fantastic restaurant in Positano. We made reservations for the patio and the view is amazing! Started off with a meat and cheese plate with San Daniele prosciutto, very good. I got the seafood pasta, was one of my favorite meals ever. Pasta was homemade and seafood was delicious. My wife got the lobster pasta, can't go wrong here, was great! We finished our meal off with tiramisu and limoncellos. This was one of our favorite places in Positano and Italy!

Two happy diners!

The house Posides Spritz was refreshing and perfectly balanced made with a cherry liquor, and the limoncello spritz was smooth, bright, and easily one of the best we've had in Italy. We finished with an affogato that was the perfect finale, rich espresso poured over creamy gelato for a sweet, satisfying finish along with the seasonal cake. Service was warm, friendly, and attentive throughout the evening, making the experience feel personal and relaxed. The restaurant is a bit of a walk from the city center with a few stairs to climb, but it's absolutely worth it. The stroll back down afterward is the perfect way to walk off the meal. The French toast was another standout, made with thick custardy brioche, fresh berries, and a crème brûlée topping that was absolute perfection. Everything feels local and seasonal, and the menu changes often, which makes every visit special. An amazing spot with a cozy vibe, beautiful plating, and some of the best food I had anywhere in Italy.
