Daniel's in South Miami is truly an experience worthy of every accolade. Ranked #40 worldwide and #6 in North America, this restaurant exceeded every expectation we had from the moment we walked in. We started with the basil Caesar salad, which was incredibly fresh and beautifully balanced, followed by the Rockefeller oysters that were absolutely phenomenal. For our main course, we enjoyed the prime rib featuring Mayura beef alongside the lobster mac and cheese -- both dishes were unforgettable. Every bite was rich, flavorful, and perfectly executed. We also shared a bottle of 2020 Collazzi Toscana, which paired flawlessly with dinner, and finished the evening with the soft serve deconstructed sundae, which was as creative as it was delicious. While the presentation of every dish is exceptional, the food itself is truly magnificent. The level of detail, flavor, and consistency is what separates Daniel's from so many others. Our server, Paige, was outstanding throughout the evening -- attentive, knowledgeable, and constantly checking in without ever being overwhelming. The service felt genuine and seamless. Great first time experience! Had to get a reservation weeks ahead of time even for 5:30pm. And even as we stepped inside, the place was already packed. So if you're looking for a later time, make sure you do it months ahead of time. We got a bottle of wine for the table after talking for a little bit with the sommelier she gave a us a great recommendation. For appetizer we ordered the SULLIVAN STREET SOURDOUGH BREAD with Sheep's Milk Ricotta, Honey & Thyme! It's a full experience. Services it on top of everything. Its efficiency and speed felt similar to hillstone. Booking wasn't hard as some places like Sunny's. I'd have to be honest and say that the meat at Daniel's surpasses Sunny's & Perry's. Had to be one of the best steaks I've had in a long time. We ordered three sides, mushroom, pasta and fries. If you only can do one side I recommend the vodka pasta. Amazing! The place was very detailed with the design and you can tell a lot of thought went into the making. I read somewhere that Daniel's was the Sunny's for adults, which is pretty accurate! It is a stunning restaurant with a lively atomsphere and they are pumping a great playlist (great touch, extra points for playing Peter Gabriel). The host checking us in was a rude man, but our server Andres was very nice. They sat us near the kitchen and near a door, we liked the spot, but kind of annoying how the waiter and the food runner were having a loud conversation near our table as we were eating.. We started with the Sullivan Street soughdough bread and wedge salad. We loved the bread, instead of butter they used a whipped ricotta with honey. So good! Our server cut up the wedge for us. The thick chunks of bacon and crispy onions were a nice touch. We took our server's recommendation and ordered the cowboy ribeye. It was very delicious, but came with a lot of fat. The less expensive australian wagyu was MUCH better, it melted in your mouth and came with a delicious chimmichuri sauce. It was sooo good i wish we had two of those instead of the ribeye. Moving onto the sides. We had the twice baked potato, corn pudding and vodka pasta. All were very good but the baked potato and pasta were my favorites. They came out lukewarm i wish they were a little hotter. I can confidently say this is probably my favorite restaurant I've been to in my 20 years of living in Miami. The service was absolutely the best I've ever experienced--I wanted to come back immediately before I even left. A huge thank you to Andres (our server) and Antonio (server assistant) for taking such great care of us. The food was just as incredible as the service. The tartare was refreshing, and the bread with the honey topping is a must-order. For the main, we shared the dry-aged cowboy ribeye, which was cooked perfectly and was the perfect size for two people. We paired it with the lobster mac and cheese, which was awesome and had a generous portion of lobster. Server, servers asst, busboy, food runner and mgr rotating around and visiting tables to ensure experience is as It should be We had Caesar salads, Yellowfin Tuna tartar, Bread service, Dover Soles, Filet Mignons, lobster Mac & cheese, porcini mushrooms & a choc cake w ice cream for dessert. I would gladly order every item again except for the chocolate cake. It was decent but nothing to rant & rave about. My filet was a little charred on the outside but was still perfectly cooked on the in. Next time I would choose another steak, they have some great ones on the menu but we were all sharing and Filet seemed like the popular choice. We really enjoyed the Dover Sole. The other night we celebrated my daughter's birthday here. It was a phenomenal and happy experience for us, one that we were hoping for! You will be dining in a beautiful steakhouse with soothing low lighting, rich dark woods, sparkling glass, well appointed tables, comfortable seating, 80-90s music, very likeable staff, and elegant outside entrance. Wear your best attire and enjoy the vibrant and classy ambiance! The food and drinks were excellent! We shared the 10 Oz Australian Margaret Wagyu Prime Rib, which was so tender and juicy, cooked to perfection! It was delicious and almost melted in my mouth if that's possible. It was the best prime rib that I have ever tasted and I've tasted many. We loved how our delightful server Milly, brought us the scrumptious Prime Rib and sliced it for us and scooped the incredibly delicious Lobster Mac n Cheese as well as the yummy Twice Baked Potato onto our plates. She pampered us to no end. She checked on us all evening to make sure we were enjoying ourselves. Also the restaurant manager, Jose Santiago, stopped by twice to welcome us and see if everything was alright. We appreciated his attention and were impressed with his sincerity. I went to Daniel's for lunch on Sunday. The staff were very friendly and after finding our reservation took us to our table. They immediately placed our napkins on our lap and handed us menus. They interior of Daniel's was beautiful with bright lighting and chandeliers over almost every table. We had the option to pick the brunch menu items or lunch items. Since it was our first time at Daniel's we decided to get the staples: bread service, hanger steak, ny strip, lobster Mac and cheese, and the swirl ice cream. The bread service was phenomenal and I thought the ricotta spread was one of the best I've ever had. My favorite cut of meat was the hanger steak. I thought it was very tender and juicy. Wow, what an incredible experience with incredible food. The bread was absolutely divine. It was fluffy on the inside & crispy on the outside, with a delicious whipped honey butter on the side As an appetizer, we started with the tuna which melted in your mouth. The crabcake was perfectly crisps on the edges and flavorful on the inside. The ribeye was cooked to perfection and tender. We paired it with the mushrooms and truffle mashed potatoes, a perfect combination with steak. I'm not gonna lie. I kept seeing all the social media hype for the Daniel's coral gables location and thought it wouldn't be that great. But I can comfortably say that this is a great steakhouse in miami. Keep in mind that this is not a cheap eats or mid tier priced steakhouse. This is high end (although they do need to add a ribeye that is $100 or less to the menu) First, the overall interior of the restaurant is beautiful. You can tell they took time with the design and gave it that upscale look. We booked the day before so ended up with a table on the patio which is nice. They have hedges on the patio so it's more private. Then the food, I got the 16oz prime NY strip and it was perfectly cooked. I'm not a truffle guy but I added the truffle butter and it was well worth it. My wife got the hangar steak which is wagyu. Very tender and juicy steak We also got the bread service with was a great starting app. Comes with a delicious honey better. My wife got the wedge salad which we had chopped and it was great. Good amount of bacon and tasted perfect I did get the oyster Rockefeller which for the price I probably would not get again because it's only 4 small oysters. For drinks we got a dirty Martina which was excellent. I like that the serve you a carafe that sits in the ice. There is another well know steak place like Daniel's in miami where they out ice in the carafe which waters down the drinks. I got the old fashioned and it was great. Had a nice apple flavor to it and would 109% get again. Both drinks were at the $20 range which is standard in miami Lastly was the mushrooms side. They were tasty but probably a one time try for us. But if you like Mushrooms it was excellent. Last, we originally ordered a cookie desert with ice cream. But the manager stopped by to talk to us and once he heard that it was our first time he came back with the soft serve which was MASSIVE. Made me feel like a kid again. Would get both next time. Overall, the service was great and attentive. For example, I'm sitting there with my napkin and without even asking the server comes over takes the one I have and replaces it a new one. This restaurant is very busy, our hostess said to us, it's always Friday here, because we had early dinner reservations on a Wednesday and the place was packed. They are very organized, this I can tell is a well run operation because even though they were busy, there was plenty of friendly staff everywhere. Our table was often visited by many of the staff service, not just our waiter. The restaurant is also very beautiful. The decor is rich, lush and very chic. Daniel's has a very Impressive wine selection, and a gorgeous bar with a very extensive menu for cocktails and spirits. The bar area looked great, so this restaurant could also be a great option for having drinks with friends. Now onto the food; we ordered a crudo appetizer that was divine; citrus, buttery and tasty. Then we had the Caesar salad which was very unique and delicious, not your typical salad, and the dressing to lettuce ratio was absolutely perfect. We shared a tomahawk steak that was cooked to perfection, the quality of this steak was something I had never experienced before, we had leftover steak, and the next day was just as good. We also ordered the twice baked potato as our side; another winner. The potato was so silky, creamy and perfectly seasoned. To finish we had the banana bread pudding. We were so full from our delicious meal but I'm glad we ordered this dessert because it was EPIC!!! Perfect combination of warm, gooey, creamy and delicious banana bread pudding. We had a lovely dinner for twelve to celebrate the holidays at Daniel's in South Miami. The location of the restaurant is easy to access and they have valet which is very convenient. The restaurant has a very elegant atmosphere. We sat in a room where they had floor to ceiling wine on display. The restaurant was completely sold out so I highly recommend reservations. Due to the restaurant being so full, the only complaint I really have is that at times it was very loud and hard to hear my guests. We ordered cocktails and wine with our appetizers. The wine selections is quite vast with so much to choose from. One of my guests had a martini where they serve the olive juice in a vile on the side and they really enjoyed it. The food is absolutely amazing. Our waiter was very attentive and provided a lot of guidance as to what we should order. The prefix lunch menu had some delicious options so I decided to give it a shot It's $35 per person. There is an up charge if you want the fillet. I picked the baby kale salad with the fillet and a mango sorbet for dessert. The fillet came with delicious homemade fries. My husband had the same thing except he picked the ceviche to start. Everything was delicious from start to end. The bread service was divine. Steak was cooked perfectly. I love the classic upscale steakhouse aesthetic. The restaurant was impeccable. Our servers were fantastic, so very nice and accommodating. They did just the right amount of checking in without it being too much. I had a life altering moment here.. I am beyond impressed with this restaurant! Definitely make reservations because it is packed. Even the bar was full. With reservations we waited about 10 minutes for our table to be ready. The restaurant itself is really nice. They have low lighting giving that romantic aesthetic and beautiful displays of wine. It's definitely not your typical "quiet" restaurant. They play some music from the 80s and even some modern songs and the dining space itself has a lively social vibe. So feel free to laugh out loud. We got to try the Miami Spice menu for dinner and really it is quite the deal. We did add a half portion of the bread service because we just had to try it. The fact that a half portion is available is a huge plus! I had heard raving reviews and we needed to experience it. And an experience it was!! The sourdough bread is freshly baked, toasty on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside. The whipped ricotta, honey & thyme spread is just divine. I would like a tub of that to take home! For drinks I tried "The Daniel's" (with gin) which is basically a dirty martini. The presentation is 10/10. It comes with its own little side car of gin and a vial of olive brine giving you the ultimate control of gin to brine ratio. It was delicious. For Miami Spice I started with the Oysters Rockefeller. The serving brings 3 oysters. They were baked to perfection. The creamy spinach with the briny oyster really had a perfect balance of flavor. For entree I got the Demkota Heritage Elite Prime Filet Mignon, and this is where my life fell apart. OMG... I cannot begin to describe how tender and juicy this piece of meat was. Not to mention the intense flavor. Our awesome waiter Hector explained to us these steaks are prepared in very high heat broilers which give the steaks that nice sear while maintaining the perfect medium rare interior. Now of course, the preparation of the steak is important, but you can tell from texture of the meat itself that this is high quality beef. It comes paired with potato fonduta which is the most luscious potato. Just take a bite in your mouth, close your eyes, and happy dance. For dessert I finished off with the lemon sorbet. Hailing from Argentina, I vouch for the locally (save for the Australian Wagyu) sourced cuts and as a foodie I was delighted by the incredible pasta dishes, burrata, seafood, their signature incredible strawberry gazpacho, along with amazing sides making up the bounty of beautifully plated victuals. All things are made in house from sourdough bread to chips, dips, and aiolis. And this is big: they cook with beef tallow --ZERO SEED OILS. An incredible selection of wines and Incredible libations - their amaretto sour is a favorite. The service as well is an on point. Isis is meticulous and her flow with Paloma, was a joy. Went to Daniel's on a Wednesday at 6PM, but the energy was giving Friday night, amazing vibe, great crowd, and solid service. Our server was friendly and attentive, but things took a turn when we were told (after a $1.1K dinner for four!) that we couldn't order another bottle of wine because another party was waiting for our table. Nothing kills a buzz faster than being rushed at a "fine dining" spot. The manager did comp the wine and moved us to the bar, which was a nice gesture but honestly, once you make guests feel like they've overstayed their welcome, it's hard to bounce back from that. Out of this world experience. We came here to celebrate our birthdays together and I feel like we had one of almost everything, and it was ALL delicious. Most importantly, the staff were all exceptional. Everything was served with perfect timing and they were all so nice. The steak - no matter which you get - is cooked to perfection. The pasta - omg. The CRAB CAKE. PLEASE get the crab cake. And I know everyone loves the ice cream sundae but the cookie was phenomenal. Save this spot for your next special occasion. Went to Daniel's for brunch on a Sunday. We had reservations for the bar area and were sat immediately. The bar area for couples are about 6-7 tables right next to eachother, tables were a little too close to each other but hey I get it, it's the place to be right now. But if I'm worried my butt is going to rub on the shoulder of the guest next to me, it's a little too close for comfort. We were hoping to order food off the bar menu but were told the bar menu doesn't start until 4 so heads up anyone else trying to go for that. The waiter asked what we wanted from the bar menu to see if they could make it. I asked for the chicken nuggets and caviar and next thing I know they bring it out! We were so happy that was the man thing my girlfriend wanted to try. It was simple but delicious. Chicken was hot a crispy and the crème fraiche balanced with the caviar to make a perfect bite. Everything we had was delicious, except one thing. I hate to say it because everything was amazing... except the burger. I love a salty piece of red meat, however this burger was too salty. To the point it was not enjoyable. I think the chef may have had a heavy hand when seasoning so I won't go too hard, but it's not something I would order again. We finally tried this restaurant which replaced Fiola. The vibe is great, very lively, nice decor, elegant setting. I was a little surprised at the prices! I expected "expensive" but this was a little excessive. And, the server was a little aggressive (Pedro) trying to upsell the wine and steaks. Nice guy but not in tune with his audience. We ordered the seafood chowder and for $29 we expected a hardy bowl of soup. But we got this VERY little pile of seafood with a little juice they pour on top. The wedge salad, which was served at the same time, was huge, but very little dressing. The Iowa NY strip we ordered was perfectly cooked. The twice baked potato was also hearty and tasty. Lemon sorbet was good. Not sure we'd come back. I don't mind paying for good food/service, but this was not worth it. My husband and I split everything and it was still $300. read more

I wish I would have taken pictures but you'll just have to take my word for it. We had a large party of 8. Our waiter was so accommodating and attentive to our needs. The steakhouse was very busy, but it didn't lose the feel of elegance with the lighting and the designs. We enjoyed wagyu prime rib, ribeye, New York strip and filet mignon. Or appetizers were oysters Rockefeller Tiger shrimp Wagyu tartare talked with caviar, and we also got the bread which was phenomenal. We had almost every side, and I will tell you that the lobster mac & cheese with some next level stuff. Cream spinach was delicious. I don't think there was one dish that they brought out that we did not like. Recommend them? Absolutely. read more

Located in Coral Gables this place should be in you Must Try Folder. Nice modern entrance into the restaurant. We were seated in the bar area because you get to chose from the bar menu as well as the main menu. We had the chicken nuggets with caviar, wagyu empanadas, rosemary fries, hamichi tartare, pastrami bao buns, and the banana bread with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for dessert. I would first like to say I went on a Friday night with reservations made. They were able to sit us before our reservation time which was nice. Even upon request of a table or more secluded area they put us in between other couples chair width apart. To me it screams that they are just cramming everyone in for more profits. The place and decor looks very nice inside. However, I pretty much had to scream at my partner in order for her to hear me. Starting from the point of service, the waiter spoke English well but with a heavy accent and with the noise as it was already kinda hard to hear, as well as, the assistant waitress. The waiter seemed like a nice guy but when asked what he recommended it was already obvious he only pointed out the most expensive things, not particularly the most popular (seemingly to make more profits). When I didn't want an appetizer he seemed to have gotten disheveled at that and stated I'll have to wait long for my steak. Also, he pushed "off menu" items with no price tags to dupe us into something expensive. I ordered from beginning to end: Caesar salad(, sourdough bread and honey butter, Kansas City (20 oz), lasagna, fries, mushrooms, and hazelnut cake. I don't normal go out to dinner but chose this place for the ravings of their STEAK. Please tell me how a $109 steak came to the table completely undercooked, lacked flavor AND cold! When I asked the server what the temperature was on the cut he agreed with my opinion but he stated "it's medium-rare like you ordered" (I took it as it was my fault) he then looked at his notebook and conveniently apologized. Took the steak back and cooked it to the correct temperature. But please tell me how the steak was still cold?! I was baffled but did not want to seem to complain because it was my partners and I's anniversary. Note: The fries were soggy, the bread was burnt but still good, the lasagna was some deconstructed thing that tasted good but also like a bean burrito from Taco Bell (which also seemed to be similar portions size to it but on a much larger plate), mushrooms the best tasting food I had and the hazelnut cake was good too. All in all I would NOT recommend this place nor probably go back. Yes, everyone was nice but it was a madhouse and all I could think was they were greedy for money and not the quality. Additionally, the most important thing for a steakhouse is the steak and they miss the mark on that by legions. Sadly, I blew quite a bit of money and will have to cook the leftovers, flavoring them myself. It's sad that all these social media influencers hype this place up but probably get it for free, try everything fresh and cooked by the executive chef. It should be quality everytime. Save your money and go somewhere else. read more
