I decided to grab a pizza for dinner so I checked out Buccilli's. I ordered a small pepperoni pizza with butter crust. While I waited, I couldn't resist the chocolate peanut butter cookies. We had a very special birthday for our firstborn grandchild in the family, she's a hospice RN. I knew I could trust Buccellis Bakery as always to make a special cake, celebrating her kindness and love for the community as well as our family. I asked for something different than the traditional roses, and asked for a stethoscope. We were pleasantly pleased. They did an amazing job and the cake was very good, as usual. The frosting is out of this world fabulous.. They're busy, suggest calling ahead. It's definitely worth the drive for us, we love their cakes. I've stopped on another trip picked one up, brought it home cut slices, put in zip lock bags, for the freezer. Fabulous treat. Their prices are fair. You get a lot of cake for $30. read more

Hi, having heard rave reviews on Buccillis we decided to order a bday cake from them, however our experience with the ordering process was not very well. The lady at the counter was rude, we asked if they had pictures of the different kinds of cakes, she said most people bring their own pictures, (after saying that she huffed and puffed went and got acake book and slammed it onto the counter)she never explained the different fillings or flavors, my husband said we would come and order it on "Friday" ( this was a Wednesday) and that he wanted to pick it up on Sunday, then she proceeded to say, " you said Friday"! At this point I was ready to just leave, however we procended to pick out a cake when we picked it up on Sunday, the counter lady was a very nice person, the cake was ok, but because of our experience with the rude lady we will NEVER order from them again read more

Very special birthday last week for a family member he requested pepperoni, pizza, antipasto, salad, & a chocolate birthday cake. He liked the pepperoni pizza, very generous portions. The salad was fantastic, uniformchunks of meats, cheese and the salad was crisp wonderful vegetables. Dressing was good. The birthday cake was out of this world fantastic! We ordered an 8 inch round chocolate cake with buttercream. The cake was moist, frosting is out of this world fantastic ! It's a beautiful buttercream not sugary at all . Weird, rude little man behind the counter. Just wanted to order breadsticks, and he just wanted to pick a fight. We were polite, smiling and willing to wait, he would not stop complaining. Same weird man also refused to wait on people that came in after us, and seemed to relish his weird power trip of chastising those that dare enter his pizzeria. The bread sticks were super meh, the cream cheese dip needs to be beat longer and could use some sea salt. 0/10 would not recommend. Used to love the cakes but the angry little man child behind the counter prompted me to try other bakers in the future. First off let me say we ( our company ) and I personally have used Buccilli's plenty of times through the years.. However we ordered 2 cakes for two different locations I work for, a couple weeks ago. They were given all the specifics. Things like the name of the company, if we could pay with a check, that we needed one for each location, that two people would be coming to get a cake each, what size we needed, what to put on them, time. We've ordered cakes before. But I'm very precise on details. To make sure of no mishaps. Even though they knew the company was going to be cutting a check, they NEEDED a name for the order. So I gave them mine. I was informed only a couple hours before our event that one of the said two guys went to get the cake and the first gentleman got them both....mind you our locations are a good 30+ min from one another. So I proceeded to call Buccilli's to see what happened. The woman I spoke to was very rude. I was simply asking what happened. She claimed I should have given specifics .. such as giving the name of the business it was for....it was under my name yet she took the company check...strange. also if there was any kind of doubt or question she had our number...why no phone call? she did not take any kind of responsibility for the situation and her attitude was completely unnecessary...I wasn't asking for any kind of reimbursement or anything like it....we won't be using them again. Buccilli's cakes have maintained the highest level of quality for 30+ years. They have expanded their sweets repertoire only to nail it every time. These people know their craft and have the Midas Touch for baking! The cakes are light, but still moist. The frosting has the familiar fluffy texture and almond flavor that brings me back to my childhood every bite I take. I think of the cute plastic clowns and balloons they used to top the cakes with in the 80s and my heart swells. The peanut butter cookies with chocolate drizzle are chewy and deserve a cold glass of milk. The sugar cookies are designed with the seasons and holidays in mind and are almost too pretty to eat...but only almost! They are gone in a flash in my house! My family knows, if we are celebrating-we are getting the cake and cookies from Buccilli's! If I could leave zero stars, I would. I have been ordering cakes here for 5 years, no issues and always good. I came in and ordered a cake for theb24th, the woman who took my order was short with me and asked me also to email the order. I did so as I stood in the store. Later I found she wrote the wrong date, the 25th on my order form because I called on the 24th to inquire if I could come up to get the cake at a certain time and the young man who answered was rude and said I ordered it for the 25th which I pointed out that had I said the 24th and that my email which I sent from inside their store said the 24th, at which he hung the phone up on me ever so rudely after saying it doesn't matter the cake is ready. No apologies, no possiblity that the ordering person may have made a mistake, just blame to the customer and a rude, come get your cake, click. When I went into the store to get the cake 15 minutes later, the same lady who took my order said, she has been there 20 years and never made a mistake which is unlikely since we are all human. I said I just wanted communication with good customer service and the young man said, it's not his responsibility to reassure me that the order was fine. Long story short, I will not be back! Cakes are good but shoddily run customer service. Luckily my cake was ready on that day for the 35 people I had coming for a baby shower. Very sad... read more

We've been getting all our birthday cakes at Buccilli's. The last one was a marble sheet cake in Halloween colors. The cake was moist and delicious and I don't know of any other bakery in the area that decorates with homemade buttercream frosting made from scratch. Store hours are convenient for picking up an order or buying a cake from their case because they're open 7 days a week. They don't bake on Saturday or Sunday so plan ahead if ordering. The cake seemed a little smaller and to have a little less frosting this time and was a little more money than it used to be but was still a good value for the money. read more

It was done beautifully and the taste is indescribable. It was so good that family members from other counties will make the drive to get a cake from Buscillis for our special occasions. Bucilli Bakery made my daughters wedding cake. The cake was 4 tiers about 3 to 4 feet high. Each tier was decorated differently but blended with the next tier up. Between each layer was 4 pillars with frosting roses in the center. On the top was roses with the bride and grooms monogram in crystals. The wedding cake was beautiful and delicious. The price was beyond reasonable even with the delivery charge to Troy, MI. The decorators name was Brenda. I gave her a generous tip as she started crying as she thanked me. Not only does she do outstandingly stunning cakes, she has a beautiful heart of gold. I would recommend Brenda's cakes to anyone who wants to dazzle their crowd with looks and taste (chocolate, white and cherry flavors). The wedding was in the Grand Ballroom of the Marriott. The Marriott said it was the most beautiful wedding they have had and Brenda finished it off with her lovely cake sitting in the center of the dance floor on a circular table with crinoline softly draped over light gray taffeta and brought up with ribbons and roses.
